Yep. This team was never going to go undefeated and will lose a game or two along the way-the expectation of perfection is pretty "Notre Damey" of us. OSU has some budding super stars on this roster. Miller is an elite talent who is starting to realize it, Roby (when he tackles) is the next big thing on the corner, and Schutt, Washington, and Spence all appear poised to be part of a devastating unit.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I thought this was going to be a complaint why the 'Shoe doesn't replay plays under review. Pisses me off!
I sat in the North end yesterday and when the band plays, they need to kill the mic too because you hear the band then it's picked up in the mic and the sound travels through the speakers. Sounds terrible.
3-0 and only 3 games in and this team is treated worst than the teams who are barely scoring against FCS teams. If you are pissed right now about how this team is struggling yet winning, go over to Wisconsin who was picked ahead of OSU and watch them barely score against Utah State and Oregon State!
Oh and the Bollman comments are ridiculous! I can't believe people are actually comparing this offense to the DAVE and punt offense! They play horrible and score 35 points!!!! Bollman's offense was HAPPY TO SCORE 35 POINTS!!
The Buckeyes are a lot better than my golf game is this fall. Is there room for improvement? Yes there is, but it's better to be a Buckeye this year. I don't feel the same sharp pain in my forehead that was a constant campanion on weekends past. I don't have to endure the same comments from my SEC zealot co-workers as before. Last night I had a dream I was an Arkansas fan. I woke up in a cold sweat, and flipped on my OSU lamp. We're 3-0, Urban Meyer is in the 'Shoe, and I see raw talent everywhere I look. Now, if the wife would only make pancakes this morning.....
An angry fan...rooting for an angry team...led by angry coaches
I mean most fans thought we'd finish in the 10-2 range, and we have a good shot to do that since we should be 4-0 this time next week.
Meyer is gonna lay into them about tackling angles and tackling in general. It was hard to watch at times from the LBers and secondary. The D-line played well yesterday IMO
Hey a win is a win at the end of the day. But we're also trying to look at what needs to improve in order for wins to keep being wins at the end of future days.
I'll take the win. We're 3-0. We play UAB next which should be a tune-up game, so to speak. We need to get things together before we go to East Lansing.
I agree with all the comments, thanks. STEENSN spot on, that is what makes this site the best ! I just did not want to point out glaring weaknesses and instead put more focus on the fact the Buckeyes won, that's what matters . Players, coaches, students and all Buckeyes everywhere should be happy to be 3-0.
What amazes me is all the cliff jumpers I have seen since Saturday, and we are a 3-0 team. If we have this many I cannot imagine how many cliff jumpers Wisky must have right now.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
3-0 is as 3-0 does... I have a feeling that Urban likes this team.. There was no quit in them on saturday. I was frustrated by the poor tackling and that was it! Go Bucks!
Cant expect the guys to be perfect yet. They are adjusting to a completely new offensive scheme and a few adjustments on the defensive side of the ball. Injuries have not helped both sides of the ball either. The nice thing I enjoy is seeing the coaches and players making adjustments when somethings not working. I like the fire Urban has put into the team and you can see it reflecting on the field. The team will continue to get better and improve the more comfortable they get. Go Bucks
We're 3-0 after 3 games this year. Were we 3-0 after 3 games last year?
Points scored through 3 games in 2012: 122 (40.67/game)
Points scored through 3 games in 2011: 75 (25/game)
Points allowed through 3 games in 2012: 54 (18/game)
Points allowed through 3 games in 2011: 46 (15.33/game)
I don't worry about other stats much - at the end of the day, points are the only stat that counts towards winning and losing. I'll gladly give up 3 more points per game if we can score 15 more points per game on a consistent basis.
To me, jumping off the cliff is saying that based on what you saw Saturday, we are going to suck and lose a lot of games. Simply pointing out things that need to be worked on is not jumping off the cliff.
Thanks AGL. So many fans are getting too worked up about our "bad defense". What team doesn't have flaws?

One of my friends is livid I told him it will take time for this team to take form

We are about to be the highest ranked big ten team, unless SOMEHOW scum jumps us.

I reserve my right to point out our weaknesses from an objective point of view and NOT have it considered jumping off the ledge.
