In the first two games we have rushed the ball 104 times so an average of 52 times per game. That being said how does everybody think the carries will be split up? I ask this because it has been a hot topic as of late with the injuries to the tailbacks and braxtons overall workload. So 52 being the hypothetical benchmark how do we sit it spiltting up between brax/dunn/smith/hall/brown/boren?

brax=18 dunn=15 hall=10=smith=8ish Boren =3 maybe?
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
yah i'm hoping Hall can take 15 I would like to think maybe closer to 15 touches total including catches for him if we can get him ready fro this week in a limited role.
Miller-20, Dunn-15, Hall-8, Smith-5, Zoren-4
I, like everyone else, wish Smith could/would get more but as time goes on, it's becoming quite clear he just isn't the player we want him to be. That being said, I still am hoping he can get it all together eventually. But there's reason to believe that if all the backs were healthy, including Ball, that Smith would be at the bottom of the depth chart. Just my two cents. But I will continue to pull for Rod Smith and maybe one day, he will surprise us all with a breakout game!

From my post in the poll:
MILLER 17
DUNN 12
R. SMITH 6-8
HALL 6-8
BOREN 5
BROWN 4
I forgot about Philly, I'll say he takes 3-4 as well, 1 each away from Miller, Hall, Smith, and Dunn.
Also one more thing on Smith, I think all it would take is him breaking one big one, like 25+ and he'd be off and running. I think some of the issue might be lack of confidence. Kind of similar in a way to the big run Beanie broke off in his freshman year in the OSU #1 vs. UM #2 matchup. It set the stage for the rest of his Buckeye career, in my opinion.

I agree about smith.... Meyer has even said he likes rod smith's talent he just hasnt put it all together yet. The unfortunate part is he may never put it all together and be stuck as a career back up or transfer.
I just hope we see Braxton throwing the ball alot this game
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Posted the same thing in the poll, but it's worth mentioning here as well:
Later into the season, when all the running backs are on point and he's mastered his option and zone reads, we may well see Miller running the ball ~15 times. Odds are he's going to be more aware of his carries Saturday (after his Herculean effort last weeek), but he's still going to carry at least 15-20 times, probably more.
Bottom line is that the kid's a winner. He knows that he's OSU's best option to score whenever he's holding the ball, and that influences a lot of his reads (thinking that he can make two guys miss instead of pitching it to an RB with one guy on him, scrambling out of the pocket, etc.). This is a Godsend at the moment; with the team trying to fully implement Meyer's Spread (with imperfect personnel), Miller possesses the ability to bail everyone out. Just like how he carried an 8th seed Huber Heights Wayne team to the state championship game (and a near win over national-top-ten Lakewood St. Edward), he's used to putting the team on his back.
It's going to take a lot more than one game to get him to break said habit--especially since Meyer's offense gives him a greater chance to succeed on an individual level. Just like how it took Pryor an entire season to learn how to glide out of bounds instead of fighting for paltry yards, this will be an exciting--if not nerve-wracking--progression to witness.
Are we not really opening up the playbook until B1G play or have we been limited with Hall out? I'd like to see us run some more plays that we saw UF playing... I feel like their offense was pretty explosive... I know Meyer doesn't completely have the guys for his system, but the spread is about mismatches...
Brax=17 or more if he has to scrammble
Dunn=12 or more
Hall=10 or less
Brown=5 or more
Boren=5 or more
Smith=5 or less if he fumbles...which he may if given more carries.
I don't like making "exact" perdictions on stuff like this because you never know how the game will play out. What happens if they start to pass with ease...runs may go down. Just something to think about.

I think that we have too much success with Braxton and are in a shootout so he gets the call more.
Braxton - 25
Dunn - 10
R. Smith 6
Boren 5
Hall 3
Brown 2
= 51 atempts
