He was a part of the first few buckeye teams that I was old enough to watch and understand and consequentially fall in love with. I will always have a tremendous fondness for those teams, those years and especially those players. Being a little kid then and seeing those guys play, they were just larger than life. I'm really grateful I had a chance to watch them play.
RIP Jason.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
BuckeyeEddie - The first team I remember watching and trying to figure out what was going on was Earle Bruce's last year as HC. Cooper's tenure and his teams though were the ones I followed closely and had the players I would pretend to be while playing in the backyard. I still feel a connection to those teams because I grew up with them one Saurday at a time, year after year. When I went to my first game in the Shoe in 92 and I remember feeling like I was in heaven. Just as you said, those teams to a kid and even now in my mind, they were larger than life.
