If we wear chrome helmets for the Michigan game I'm going to blow my brains out.
Chrome in place of the sparling grey would be a nice look. It wouldn't be too drastic of a change. I would love for the scarlet jerseys to have chrome stripes instead of black as well as chrome numbers perhaps. Outside of that, don't think much else needs to be done.
Oh no, alternate uniforms for the Michigan game??? Will the world come to an end??? Apparently Mr. Electric will blow his brains out. I would think if they're going to wear alternates it'd be for the Nebraska night game, much like the Wisco game last year. Seems a little short notice for that game, though. Didn't they say they'd be releasing the new uniform designs soon?
How shiny is this chrome? Could our players use it to our advantage and lean their helmets at a certain angle to shine the sunlight in opposing players' eyes? ;-p
@Bolt: Nike said this month, so any day now.
I said it in a forum a while ago that I think they will be a 2002 throwback with the gray sleeves and the "chrome" helmet we saw actually looks like the design of the crystal football given to the National Champions.
Weren't the first two alternate uniforms for the Michigan game? I actually really liked last year's pro combat. Didn't care much for the ones the years before, but I thought last year's looked pretty bad ass.
The '09 and '10 unis were for Michigan.
Going to be a high profile game at home, thats how they do it.
So, Nebraska or Michigan.
Last year was Wisconsin at night.
So, this year I'm guessing Nebraska at night or Michigan game.
You think NIKE wants to showcase the alternate unis in a meaningless game with very little viewers or a high profile game broadcasted nationally in front of a huge televised audience in the spotlight?
With Nebraska being two weeks away, I doubt it is Nebraska. It wouldve been released by now.
If we're doing a chrome helmet, I hope it's for the Nebraska game. Under the lights = awesomeness.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
I liked last years Rivalry jersey. If we go chrome, hopefully it means we are going to start going more modern. I would love to see us have a grey or black jersey. I know our color isn't black but I just think they would look good in certain designs. the VT black jersey a few years ago was the one that stands out. I hope it will be for the Nebraska game either way. Gets them a bit more pumped up to pull off something special like they did against Wisconsin last year.

I'm all for the alternates once a year. It helps Nike sell stuff and in return is good for the university and exposure, even if sometimes it makes me want puke on the TV.
I do wish for TTUN it would be our normal uniforms and their normal ugly uniforms.
I wouldn't mind a chrome look. As long as it doesn't look goofy like OR jerseys. keep the helmets simple, and chromed. Don't throw too much in there.
