* The results are once again skewed based on the fact that most predicted a blowout but didn't get one. The average predicted score was 53-9 OSU and we covered neither the game spread of 35 or predicted spread of 43.5... Lets hope for better results next week.
* Based on what has been said so far, most people are disgruntled by the defensive and linebacker play and late starts by the offense. If you feel you must hit the panic button do so now but don't jump ship yet.
* A recent poll on 11W asked fans for a record come Big Ten play. While it's not expected that we reach perfection there will be some loses along the way. i see MSU able to move the ball and some missed tackles giving up some scores. But I also think our offense finally clicks for more than a quarter or two and we score on their good defense.
If our offense plays like it did on the drives and quarters that worked, we'll work MSU's defense. If we come out flat or alternate great drives with piles of crap, welllllll. I don't want to think about it
(I like to be cautiously pessimistic so that the letdown isn't as bad). For my season prediction of 10-2 to come true I'm going to have to predict we fall to Sparty in an ugly game, 21-20. First road game in a hostile environment, our offense struggles to work out the kinks as Sparty hits Braxton as much as possible and just counts on our receivers making timely drops to sputter drives. Our defense doesn't look awful against a more traditional O, but Bell pushes piles for extra yards and their O squeaks out enough points in an electric atmosphere to get the W.
That being said, our team is wildly inconsistent and could easily come out and drop 35 points on them if their gameplan isn't solid. Should be interesting to watch.

If We look like we did against UAB, Sparty will beat us. They will be fired up playing at home and looking like crap against Eastern Michigan..Dantonio wil have his guys ready. The key is Braxton making good decisions and the Defense finally growing a pair.

Offense still has some negative field position type drives but puts TD's up yet again in the red zone. MSU struggles with its 1-dimensional attack and gets in a lot of 3rd and medium/long and has to settle for FGs despite racking up total yards.

I think Braxton accounts for the majority of that (and probably pays for it) with Hall/Hyde taking a small piece of the action.

Bell has a huge day running all over us for 150+ yards but we keep maxwell in check and even force a couple turnovers. We have zero running game and Brax is forced to pass to get us the win. He, unfortunately, is very inconsistent with the pass game and moves us a couple times but not often.

Alright,...let's see. As most fans I have been quite optimistic this season. I think this week will still be an OSU win, but it'll be a close one... 17-13 good guys. I think both coordinators have been holding back their schemes a bit and they are gonna open up the offense and defense a little more. Having the team almost completely healthy will also be a plus.
