I think the offense gets over 40 again, 41 with Basil hitting 2 field goals.
The D will give up some passing yards, this is a Tedford offense, but will generally dominate. I say that Cal gets 13.
41-13 final.
34-17 Buckeyes
48-17 tOSU
49-10
I say OSU 38 Cal 10. I think we score the majority in the first half, then rest up Braxton. Dunn will rush for 87 yards on 21 carries, and the Dline finally wakes up,led by a healthy Bennet, and gets 8 sacks!
Ohio State 35 Cal 10... I would like to see them rest Braxton, as 3TECH has just pointed out. I dont see a drop off/conservative approach if Guiton gets in there so IF they are up enough to put Guiton in, I think scoring would continue. I think this game will be more consistent on both sides of the ball for OSU. I'd like to see us throw the ball to the RB out of the backfield more and have some long drives. Defensively, a couple of turnovers would be nice, but I want to finally see the D-Line get a push and hit the QB (legally). Bucks use consitency and smart football to win 35-10.

UCF was better than I think Cal is.
I'll say 38-14 though
41-16 good guys
The good guys on O go off this week, OSU 63-20.
Ohio State wins 45- 21
41 - 3. Bucks.... Defense finally has a great showing.
Scratch that prediction. I'll go with 48-3 considering they gave up 31 pts to both Nevada and Southern Utah so I hope we can put up close to 50 on them, but still will go with them only have 3 pts. Defense shows out.
Urban goes for the jugular, he was holding the gameplan back this week for this game:
OSU 52 - CAL 27
Cal scores late in game against second string.
OSU 41 - Cal 20
48-10 OSU
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
49-6 Buckeyes
OSU 45, Cal 13
Class of 2010.
BME, what do you think about doing a composite score count, to see who is the most accurate the entire season? Just a thought
45-13 OSU
34-23 Bucks
vacuuming sucks
38-16 Ohio State
If Hall is playing 52 to 14
If not 38 to 14
34-16 Bucks win
45-17 OSU
48-13 OSU gives up yards but does not break. Our Rushing defense continues to be our strength but our Passing D gets some valueable experience in this game. Our offense does not struggle and we ultimately dominate this game getting ready and more prepared for our showdown with MSU.
(anyone else think that we stopped trying to score against UCF?)
GO BUCKS!!! URBAN RENEWAL!
OSU 35 Cal 17
As of 5:19, I have all the entries entered into the spread sheet. I will post it Wed since I'm working on a gameday poster for the game this week. Hopefully elevenwarriors post another good one, maybe I'll use theirs again.
@Buckeyes125 I hear Hall is good to play so I took your Hall prediction. I hope you aren't predicting Hall to put up 2TD's himself.
@CBUSBUCKEYE You know that is a great idea. I'm surprise I didn't think about that myself... I think I'll start doing that and probably post something for it before or after the MSU game. Its not to hard to get scores from the people on 11 warriors or the frequents on ESPN but the results will be skewed for the irregulars I talk to on ESPN that are opponents or not conference fans or other fan blogs (i.e. Theonlycolors or Buckyville). What I may do to offset this is post the top 100 since most buckeyes fans will probably follow the blog and there will be a high amount of them in the top 100... This way people that submit scores every week can rack up points. The top 100 should be good enough to get everyone on here since the largest amount of "guesses" has been 171. Thanks for the idea....
If anyone else has an idea about how I can change the predictions blog, let me know. I added a game (Impossible Quiz) on there but the graphics don't fit most screens so I'll switch it to Pacman. Something a bit more traditional.

Cal looks about as good as UCF.
Tomorrow
Cal's defense is not up to par with UCF's defense. We also shouldn't have as many execution errors this week as we had last week. That said, they are going to stack the box in a way that neither UCF nor Miami did. So that's going to require Brax to have his best game yet through the air. And he hasn't shown me yet that he is ready to take over a game with his arm. Hall will be back but he'll be nowhere near where he needs to be to have a big impact.
As far as our defense goes, we are still unlikely to find someone to really rush the passer this week. Though I liked how Hankins stepped it up in the second half, we didn't get much penetration outside of him. O Johnson stepped it up (for the first time in his career, but great to see) even though we still had real communication problems in the secondary. Cal has a very balanced offense as they work hard to establish the run to help out the passing game. I'm expecting a less physical game up front but more success through the air for them.
Considering these things I think a slightly bigger win is in store. Something along the lines of 38-21.
Cal's defense has given up 410 yards on average to Nevada and Southern Utah. Early in the season their total defense ranks just behind Kansas and just ahead of Akron. Yikes.
vacuuming sucks

Some serious cognitive dissonance between these predictions and the gameday thread meltdown.
33 - 17 seems about right. Urban stays pissed off a little bit, but Bucks win again.

Oh man, are there gonna be some pissed off people on this board come Saturday, but not me because Buckeyes will come away with the win 31-30. The OSU boards will be filled with doom and gloom for two weeks while we get some bodies healthy and play our best game of the year on the road at E. Lansing.
24-7 OSU
all of our points come off of basil field goals.
@Ahh Saturday, why do you think it will be so close? Cal is terrible this year.
@William, Cal has played terrible, but they do not have terrible players. Keenan Allen is a 1st rounder next year and will give our secondary fits. Pass rush problems will not be solved by Saturday so Zach Maynard will have time to find him. Cal also has something neither Miami nor UCF had, a diversified attack. TB Isi Sofele gained over 1300 yards for them and will be hard to contain for the Buckeyes.
Their D definitely seems suspect, which is why I think we score 31 which should be enough to win. However, a combination of freshman Brionte Dunn and the all-Braxton show will keep us from reaching some of the bigger numbers I'm reading in this thread. So, I agree that while Cal has looked terrible, they will not play terrible this Saturday. OSU always gets a team's best shot, and I expect to see Cal's best shot this weekend.
@Ahh Saturday, You are only expecting OSU to put up as many points against them that a FCS team put up against them?
They're giving up on average 410 yards a game, to Directional Utah and Nevada. I don't get the dismay over Dunn on any of our threads, he averaged nearly 6 yards per carry. Sure Cal has a decent run game, but that is one thing that our defensive line has proved they excel at, stopping the run. I'm not too worried about Keenan Allen either, as he certainly isn't on track to match his production from last year (Philly Brown has more receptions than him). I'd be more worried about getting pressure to Maynard overall, as he's playing very efficiently. I just don't see Cal being able to stop our rushing attack at all. I mean they certainly couldn't stop Nevada's or Souther Utah's.
Cals defense has sucked, not their offense. They will put up some points.
@Ahh Saturday
There is no issue between the repdictions and issues pointed out from the last two games. Cal isn;t who everyone is complaining we are going to have problems against, it is the likes of MSU and other decent teams. We are noting the issues we are going to face when going against our tougher schedule, not what we will against a Cal team that has a terrible defense. Just wait till we start talking MSU and then you'll see the complaints line up against the predictions.
No one was spouting dooma nd gloom lossing season, I don't know why people are overreacting to critisms of the teams play. We sturggled in areas and it isn't outside the realm of resonable responce to be disappointed in that.
@GOBUCKS, You are correct, sir! That is exactly what I expect, not becasue we are no better than Southern Utah, but rather because what S Utah did against Cal doesn't matter next week. Giving up 31 points doesn't exactly make for a stout D, but Cal has players, and my feeling is that they will play their best. I am worried about the diversity of our attack, and miscues in execution given the team's relative inexperience with the offense which has just been compounded by the loss of Carlos Hyde. I think we are on our way to being a very good team, but I see us stumbling a bit against Cal. Still, I am predicting a win and expect to spend my Saturday with a happy smile on my face.
@Steensn, nobody is preaching doom and gloom, yet! My point is that after a one point win over Cal, people expecting to win by 30 will be. I'm not worried about losing to Cal. We are better and will win the game. I've given the few objective reasons I have for expecting a close game, the rest is just the feeling that this will be one of those college games that plays out a lot differently than one might expect. How many objective reason could a person have given to support a Razorback loss to ULM last week? None, but check their loss column now. Funny thing is I think this game is the turning point for our season. We'll survive it, learn from it, get healthy and have a relatively easier win @ MSU. That's why I love college football.
49-6. Tedford gets fired after the season.
The 2012 National Champions.
45-13...I wouldn't be so sure the pass rush problem won't be better against Cal. I feel some jobs may depend on it...

38-17, Buckeyes. And Urban will be ticked that they have to go for a field goal (which they make).
38-14 Bucks
44-13 Bucks!
I'm going to be optimistic with my prediction this week. I think our D puts plenty of pressure on Maynard and our secondary eliminates the miscommunication. I also think our staff has a solid Offensive game plan to exploit Cal's weaknesses on D.
I'm going with 45-10.
63 - 3 just because that score combo has not been predicted yet, and if it comes true, I'll look like a genius.
Edit: In favor of the good guys of course.
51 - 23 Bucks. Cal scores a couple late.
