My thoughts are Coach Meyer has made it clear where he stands on player discipline. I don't feel he mishandled this situation at all, and I do think he kept his word and did the right thing by reinstating Storm after his case was resolved. Regardless, I really hope we don't have to see Storm on the field this season unless he's drastically improved...
If there are only 8 people who live in Newark, then 7 of them are my family members. Not surprising that the Newark Advocate would make their case for a Licking Valley grad. Not exactly unbiased reporting there...
Well that article was underwhleming. I was hoping for a REASON why it was not handled correctly, not the "innocent before proven guilty" nonsense. Even the author discredits that plea by saying "had he been found guilty." It doesn't matter when he os found guilty, it is either innocent before proven guilty or not. It is an article fitting for a small town newspaper...
Urban handled it correctly. It was very clearly laid out that behavior wouldn't be acceptable. Don't put yourself in situations that leave you vulnerable to being charged with unaceptable behavior for our program.
Instead of whining, we (the media source in this case) should be applauding Meyer's humility, patience, and fairness in vetting the entire situation and allowing Storm to re-join the team. Anything else is just white noise in my opinion.
Urban did not mishandle this situation. It's a core value of the program that was violated, and it should not be tolerated. He said he would let Storm come back if Storm was found innocent, and he has lived up to that word.
I do wish courts would handle matters more quickly. Being in a "take plea bargain to end this case before football season, despite being innocent" vs "trial will go into football season" situation is a tough spot to be in.

I agree with you Bass. I am also from Newark, and I get soooo tired of the Aggravate. They suck as a newspaper.
Well, it doesn't look like mom is trying to score any brownie points with Myers. Not that this helps make Klein a starter or anything, but anyone who wants the best for him should be saying, "Thank you Mr. Meyer for reinstating Storm. Yes, Sir. Thank you, Sir."

NOOOOOOOOO Now the 8 people that live in Newark will lose respect for Urban

He talked to both involved families, so I don't have any issues with it.
Clearly Urbans actions delayed Storm Kleins ability to ride the bench during his senior season.

alot of nothing. I'm totally behind the way Urban handled the situation, as I heard it..
If you look at the comments, there is a reply on there from what appears to be Storm's mom.

This is the first time I am using this in a non-sarcastic way but, "Move along people. Nothing to see here."
