anyone know how Florida State is ranked ahead of Kansas State?

Road win vs top 6 Oklahoma and 40+ point blowout of Miami Fla, holds less weight than F$U 9 point home win over Clemson.

Florida State just beat a solid Clemson team pretty soundly.. Anyway, it's so early in the season that there's no point in getting caught up in rankings.

Clemson has given up 110 points to the last 2 ranked teams they played, not sure I'd call them solid.

It's because they were pre-ranked higher than Kansas State. I believe Forida State is always overrated.

florida state may be overrated but i think so is oklahoma. None of those teams played anyone good up to this point other than amongst themselves.

2011 Clemson gave up 410 points in 14 games.... average PA 29.3

2012 Clemson gives up 49 to FSU, beats Furman and Ball State and has a 7 point home win vs Auburn(Who LSU just beat by single digits and fell in the polls). Again, Clemson even top 20?

Lots of people bought way too much Clemson Hype.

K-State is essentially another West Virginia, except Bill Snyder has been doing it longer. The Cats will beat a team or two they should by all rights get blown out by, then lose to a team that they should dispatch easily. The big difference is FSU has 3rd string players more highly regarded than many KSU starters. Snyder just churns out great teams. FSU is more deserving of their ranking, but KSU is very dangerous this year. They don't have the defensive horses to stop Geno Smith, but the Cats will finish top 3 in the Big XII. Pretty good for a no name school that barely gets recruits from HS.

Clemson is a good football team. Say what you will about their defense, but their offense is just scary. Their new d-coordinator should help keep them from losing any more games. I see them pulling off a 10 win season.

Clemson has given up 119 points vs the last 2 ranked teams they have played.

Clemson and FSU are in a conference that is 2-12 in BCS games

not seeing what everyone else does, guess time will tell.

Hope if FSU beats Miami Fla 52-13, people don't use that as reasoning that FSU is deserving of a top 5 ranking.

FSU looked pretty beasty against Clemson and had to make a comeback in the second half. They passed my eye test, but that may be because I was watching the mess that was the scUM vs ND game at the same time.
