I wonder since Y. Town State handled them pretty well today. That has to help OSU, I would think.
Michigan is just getting dominated right now...
Go Bucks!
Yeah, and it wasn't one of those games where the Division 2 team hung in and won on a last second field goal...YSU clearly had a solid win over Pitt. Hope Dorian will come to Ohio State.
YSU is really good for a D1-AA team. Still no excuse to look that bad though.

Not from the north but the 11W guys have stated that his hometown to Penn St is about the same distance to OSU. Distance shouldn't be an issue. He might be scared of the intensity and competition.
Considering how thin we are at OLine I would say that he won't have much competition... Now if we grab a couple in 14 maybe then, but he will have already decided.
I'd doubt it now...I bet by weeks end Dorian will be all Buckeyes or may be VA Tech could become a bigger player in this race too. I'd expect Pitt to be OUT...that was a sad contest on Saturday. Didn't see it first hand but looked it up...not good.

Yeah, I bet Mark May is gonna be disgruntled all year after his Panthers performed like that in their first game. I guess he will just have to focus on spewing more verbal vomit on the Buckeyes every week. What a hater... Lou's got our back though.
Recruits don't over-react to one game like fans do. Poor performances or not Pitt will be a factor for Foster and Johnson.
You have to remember recruits dont make choices solely on performance or atmosphere. A lot of things to consider.
But, having said that, I think it would impact Foster more than Johnson. His success in college does rely on a quarterback being able to give him the ball. Johnson just has to beat the man in front of him. Players want to get to the league more than anything.
Listen fellas, I hope he ends up a Buckeye, but the new coach at Pitt was the OC @ Wisky, Paul Chryst, and they consistently put OL guys in the NFL while he was there. I can see how a kid would find that appealing, even if he had to go to Pitt.
Mark May will eviscerate Ohio State and Urban Meyer after the Buckeyes lose their first game. By then, he will think Pitt actually beat Youngstown State.
Watched the game online and YSU was clearly the superior team on Saturday. However, Pitt had 6 suspended players not suit up, which hurt their depth. I think YSU would still have won, but Pitt may make it to .500 this year. I'm not saying top recruits should sanely choose Pitt over OSU, just that Pitt will probably perform better as the season progresses.
No offense Derek, but I highly disagree. Coaching changes along with poor performances on the field (if this becomes more than just one slip up) can drastically change recruits minds. Look at Rich Rod for those 3-4 years after this happened to Karr. That lose while Karr was still there and then switching coaches caused serious back lash for recruiting bc they couldn't get any good ones. Pitt is going through a coaching change with new coaches this year and that loss to YSU doens't look good at all. They lose again against Cincy, VA Tech and then barely beat Gardner-Webb (who ever the hell that is) and then lose to Louisville at home...then your comment may be off.

I really think if he were sold on Pitt --- he would have committed already. He's right down the road & it'd be simple. But, there's something holding him back. Maybe that something is playing for Urban Meyer & a powerhouse program, which is only 3 hours away.
Word^^^^this is what I'm screaming. Paul Chryst or Urban Meyer....Hmmm???

He may have a visit planned for YSU now
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Robert Foster probably headed to Alabama now too... that was embarrassing.
It always sounded like distance from home was/is the biggest factor for him.

^Then we dont need him...

LOL Youngstown St?! Here's looking at you Mark May!

What about Ejuan Price?
I don't see Ejuan Price in the defensive stats for the game:

Recruits have many other things they look for in a school then just "how they played week 1"

I watched that YSU - Pitt game, and it wasn't a fluke. YSU was literally running over Pitt. Pitt looked soft on Defense.
I think Pitt gets beat up by Cincy this week, too.

Yeah, kids don't care much about winning, they care more about other stuff...
I think winning is a huge factor otherwise top recruits would continue to commit to PSU, but they won't because they cannot win anything.
NFL will always outweigh winning for major recruits, always.
Mark May will eviscerate Ohio State and Urban Meyer after the Buckeyes lose their first game. By then, he will think Pitt actually beat Youngstown State.
Hopefully Pitt keeps up with their winning ways...

yep...all in all, it sure doesn't hurt our chances for Johnson that Pitt lost to a D1AA team at home

You have to remeber Urban Meyer has put many OLINE players in the league as well as Warinner
