Same here. Enjoyed watching the "humbling" occur in real-time. This is what a cupcake schedule will do to you. Builds up unrealistic expectations so that when you actually have to play someone in the neighborhood of where you are falsely ranked you will be expected to at least compete. Michigan came nowhere near competing.
Frankly, they were outcoached on top of outplayed. Had they used their talent the way they are best it would have still been a loss but not as bad of one. Denard missed a whole crapload of passes sitting in that pocket trying to throw the ball.
Michigan just didnt have the horses to play with Bama. Last season went to their head and they thought they were ready for a big boy team. Denard is Denard and when you take away his running ability, put pressure on him and make him throw, he suffers. Welcome to reality scUM!! Loved every minute of that game!!! Except the final score... 41-14 brings back horrible memories.
I thought the better image was Detard on the sideline grimacing when Bellomy came in and threw a Pick on his first play. Lol... Denard made that Fire Marshall Bill grin with his lip tucked under his top teeth.... hilarious.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
During the whole build up to the game there was the ongoing argument of who we --as Buckeyes-- should want to win last night's game. The arguments put forward for supporting michigan were always academic and abstract. The joy I had watching those cocky pretenders get pounded into the dirt last night was immediate and visceral.

Who ever said Michigan was ready to play a team like Alabama? I am certain Hoke does not believe his team was ready to play the likes of Alabama. For those of you who do not know and it seems like it is many of you based on comments I have read. This game was scheduled in 2010. Many people in the Michigan athletic office thought this would be the year that RR would take the program to another level. Obviously, that did not happen. So, I do not know where comments such as " michigan was too cocky to believe they can compete with Alabama" comments come from. Hoke and the coaches just played the hand that they were dealt. In two or three years this is a more competitive game.
In two or three years the ONLY difference would be that Shane Morris is the one in this picture rather than Denard. Michigan O-line, D-line, and WRs were punked the entire game. Michigan had no business being ranked in the top 10, should be interesting to see how realistic voters will finally be towards this team.
That's what a perfect schedule, tremendous bounce of the ball, 11-2 record and a bowl game that was a gift all the way around created. Fans were breaking their collective arms patting the team along with themselves on the back. How many statements of "We're Back!" were made. We'll see after this year how that statement actually works out. Hoke also said he had a feeling his team could do well in the Alabama game. Better take some time off for stress related reasons after that game.
Don't want this to sound like I'm defending the south canadian all star squad, but let's be realistic. This game became a blowout the second toussaint put his key in the ignition after a night of drinking. Think about it...bama is a defensive machine. And when it became clear the only real option offensively for scum, it became one sided. Kirby smart and saban are pretty good minds defensively...and it doesn't take a strong defensive mind to recognize the way to check shoelace is to come after him hard, come after him early, and come after him every chance you get. Which they did, and the o line had no real chance of even slowing them down, let alone keeping them from planting denard. And without any real threat from the receiving corp, they could bring as many as they wanted and defend them heads up in the secondary. I didn't watch the whole game, but from what I saw they pretty much just pounded denard and pounded the ball offensively behind an o line full of future first round picks.
We forget that these are real kids don't we? I am old school and don't mind seeing that school up north lose but I agree with Woodysglasses. Some of this is classless and embarrassing. Attack the team, the coaching staff, and the performance but why would we gloat over kids getting hurt?
I don't look at it as a kid being hurt (although i do not agree with making a thread about that), but I view it as the culmination and heartbreak all wrapped up into one picture. 12-0!!!!! National Champions!!!!! Denard for Heisman!!!!!..... shut the hell up scUM, you are no where near where you think you are. This is going to be a rough year for them, 8 wins for them this year, they will stumble..... all hail the piss and blew........ Good lord I hate that team.
From the 18: is that the same Shane Morris, the 5-star QB Mich fans think will be the next Brady, who threw for all of 104 yards in their loss to Cleveland St. Ignatius? He and his team got taken to the woodshed. Ohio beats Michigan again, this time in high school football.
Dub and xtreme are 100% right. I put this photo up because it represented a culmination of all the hype, trashtalk and BS we had to listen to the whole offseason all coming to a swift halt in less than a half. It in no way was to embelish any injury. It's not like I found one of Countess or Lewan injured and called it great. That would be classless and I would never do that. I never want to see someone injured.
@Lucky, please stop. Did you even watch the game? A) Fitz there or not makes no difference in the result. B) The O-line was the bright spot of the game along with kick returns. Denard had all kinds of time to throw. I know they played contain most of the game, so that is partly why, but the Oline was the best group for us, Saturday. They only sacked Denard once and he was only hit maybe 5 times, one of which was self-inflicted when he tried to make the tackle after his first INT.
@Dubjay, cheers, bro. I guess this talk about 12-0 and Denard winning the Heisman was from ESPN comments? Maybe AnnArbor.com? M-Man, Rational, Fergodsakes, myself and any other Michigan fan I've seen commenting here hasn't said anything remotely close to that. My prediction was (and still is) 9-3 and a trip to the Rose bowl, with denard being a finalist for the Heisman, but not winning it. I still think Barkley or DeAnthony Thomas (Hell, maybe TJ yeldon) win it.
Other than that, enjoy your satisfaction of Michigan being curbstomped by one helluva team. I would have some fun with it, too, had the table been turned.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

I'll maintain my stance that while it seems fun to troll the UM fanbase after they got humiliated, it's not really helpful for us in any way in the long run. I want UM to be good enough to run with the best from the SEC, so that when we play them it really is the hardest game of the season. I want our boys tested against the best so they know what to expect when we get to our bowl game. Right now, the B1G is not preparing us (or any other team) for that. It just isn't.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
@Hail, yea, my comment was from the ESPN commenters. I know you guys did not say those things, I was actually going to put a side note, saying that I was not directing it at you guys, but I just did not get around to it, I was still fuming because I have not gotten paid yet, haha.
Hail - I'm not sure if that photo was doctored or not. It might've been cause I got it from a slideshow on Fox Sports talking about the uniforms teams were wearing over the weekend. I just saw it and was like, what is the O-line doing? UM is #9of 14 I believe on the slideshow.
If Denard were a WR I could see him being a serious Heisman candidate. I see no way that he could ever win as a QB, especially after Saturday night. That was a Heisman race ending effort to say the least.

Is the entire scUM coaching staff on the brink of obesity?

Dude better get used to taking hits throughout the season, because if he doesnt, he might be disembodied in Columbus.

Meh. I don't think a photo of a player being hurt is "great." In fact, I think this thread is pretty classless.
Nah, classless was their ridiculously over-the-top celebration after beating the worst Ohio State team since 1897 by 6 points in Ann Arbor.
This is just karma.
nice thread

Now that I have no problem with Dub. None at all. Lol.
Michigan fans this was your reality check in a big way.
I dont think this would have been a thread if the injury was serious.
I do beleive that denard planned on eating cereal at this game too but things didnt work out and thats why i have no problem with this pic or thread

"There will be blood on the field and it won't be mine" kinda takes a different meaning.
Wonder how the cocky OL from Ohio enjoyed his introduction to CFB.
I never want to see anyone injured, but a little bit of hurt is OK. Broken will, not broken bones.

after watching denard eat that cereal last yr i dont have any sympathy for him. maybe im classless i guess its about who you talk to.
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
Wanting him to fail isn't classless. Wanting him to sustain a major injury would be.

No need to taunt or troll Michigan fans after a game like that. Bama did all the trolling necessary.
Now, if Michigan loses at Notre Dame or at Purdue . . .
Michigan O-line blocks itself in loss to Alabama (or plays patty-cake). Not sure what to make of this photo.
LOL, is there a wide shot? It's hard to take this as an unedited shot. Bama was everywhere and I don't see any crimson at all.
