Sorry if this was already posted, I didn't go look.
I have a simple question that will probably get a varity of opinions.
Fickell was kept on the staff and demoted from intern HC to DC. I don’t know how the players viewed the coaching and leadership last year but from the product I watched on the field it had to have been in total disarray.
Question: Do last year’s core group of players respect Fickell or have they tuned him out?

Question: Why does Coach Fick always have a look on his face like he just ate a piece of bad fruit?

I believe that regardless of how OSU performed last year Fickell would not be retained as HC. Last year's issues were not on Fickell. TP had accounted for like 85% or more of our total offense in 2010, and losing him and several other players for various games was a huge deal. The defense was bad, and the offense was worse. Fickell's decision to start Bauserman over Miller was not a good one. I don't think the players this year have "tuned" him out just because he was the head guy and now he's not. I don't have all-access to the team or anything, but I've never heard any players say anything disparaging about Fickell. They all seem to like him, and although the year was forgettable, I think last season he gained more respect from them.

If it's bad, just spit it out, Coach!

osuasuuuuuuuuu, heeyaw!
Bucktoooth..I still need to know the reasoning behind it!
I thought Fickell was supposed to be pretty popular amongst the players.
I don't know if the fruit is bad. Tart, maybe.
After the first 4 games Luke Fickell haters were everywhere...now they have quieted down some. I think the players respect him but alot of the fansreally dislike him. I believe he recruited or was involved in recruiting most of the older players. I think they still believe in him.

Tennbuck,
I have to disagree with your post. Had he gone 12 wins and NC I'm sure he would have been retained.
I imagine somewhere between 9 and 12 wins would have been the line depending on style points. Obviously we weren't close and we looked bad while doing it.
