I seriously had a a dream last night that Dick LeBeau came back to OSU to run the D, punish michigan and become our answer to Greg Mattison. LeBeau is a very young 75 and I bet he would love to come full circle and finish his long and illustrious career by coaching our D for a few years. He would defiinity put them back on track, big time! Who's ready to help me start a petition or help lobby Coach Meyer?

This would be absolutely incredible! I'm not gonna hold my breath though
I'm assuming you're being sarcastic with this part. As I would love to see him do that...he's done after his time in Pittsburgh. He was a great Buckeye though...

not me. kind of think urban will figure things out, after all he does have two national titles. kind of want to see how this year turns out before i try to be a genius and help coach urban. good luck in your endeavors though.
Not me.
Ten years ago, yes. Not so much now. Great idea, but he runs a complex scheme, and Ohio State has guys having a tough enough time learning the current defense as it is now.

Honestly, I see LeBeau retiring in the next two years. The guy is 75, he doesn't have much time left to just sit back and enjoy life.
Would never happen. Sounds like a pipe dream..cool idea though.

That would be sweet, but it isn't very likely

No way we could get Lebeau, but I would settle for the DC of the Seattle Seahawks. Sacked Rodgers 8 times in the first half and still 3 mins left.
Lebeau loves where he is and what he does. When he finally leaves the Steelers, it will be to head home...like to his house, not the Buckeyes. Cool dream, but it ain't happenin' - besides, we have plenty of native-sons and once-and-current buckeyes already...

I had a dream where I was prettending to be in a domestic partnership with a roommate to land the girl of my dreams, literally. WHen I was moving out of the house, I came across her and her two young children as I was packing my car up. I said that my domestic partner and I broke up, and I was real vulnerable. We then started making out and she left with me, but left her kids on the side of the road. The girl in my dream was Jessica Biel with a darker tan. I woke up laughing, because it was relatively close to "I now pronounce you Chuck and Larry". haha
I think Aerosmith put it best, "Dream on."
Unfortunately, we can't dream until those dreams come true. It would be pretty awesome, though; I could definitely get behind a Dickie LeBeau 3-4 scheme for the Silver Bullets.
Since when did we need an answer to Greg Mattison?
You might think LeBeau is a young and healthy 75, but he's actually still being treated for the bleeding ulcers he suffered when coaching the Bengals.
This guy does look great for his age. He looks like he's in his 50's.

no thanks, we have a d coordinator...2 actually
Why would he take less money to Leave one of the best teams in The NFL year in and year out and in history, working for possibly the best owners in football..to coaching Ohio State?

Imagine if a college team was disciplined enough to successfully run a set of Lebeau-esque blitz packages
Dick Lebeau is an awesome D-coordinator and would be awesome for us. But he's going to retire a steeler.
I had a dream that our guys learned to tackle
...definitely a pipe dream
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again," said Meyer. "Do it a little harder next time."
@Pharmbuck - Well said.

Just like last year, we are still terrible. 4-0.. but still terrible.
Honestly if I wanted any guy as DC at OSU it would be Kirby Smart. He is far and away the best defensive coordinator in the college game.
^ cant argue with that!

Give me Fred Pagac and his Silver Bullets
If Braxton isn't enough of an answer to Mattison, I'd say Denard is.
