Well, here's the devil in the details: if Green goes to Tennessee, that means that--presumably, at least--Dooley is still on board, which also raises the recruiting prestige of his class, which further damages our chances at landing Mr. Vonn Bell.
So, what do we want more: Green away from UM, or Bell at OSU?
I'm hoping Bell will choose OSU regardless of what happens with Dooley @ Tennessee. And I don't wanna play against Green if he goes to UM, so my pick would be Bell comes to OSU and Green goes to Tennessee. And I hope UM ends up with the guy who was trapped in the elevator with diarrhea.
I don't care who scUM signs as long as it wasn't a buckeye target and I believe that Green wasn't a priority for Meyer and staff (as opposed to Tress/Fick). So if it means that we stand a better chance to land Bell if Green doesn't go to Tennessee...then no vols
@TENN - Yeah, I really think Bell winds up here. Kid's really smart, and seems very driven in his goals. Everything that I've read makes it sound like Bell "clicks" the best with Meyer. But, it goes without saying that if Green joins up with the Vols, than Dooley's class starts looking a whole lot better, and with that comes the realization that he could help restore the luster to his school's tarnished name. Emotions have a deep pull, I'm hoping they don't supercede his logic.
Since when is not being committed at the end of September (4 months before signing day) "dragging it out". A high school kid that is enjoying his recruitment by the best schools in the country is not a negative in my book, but that's me.
It's dragging it out when your recruitment has lasted two years and you tell a number of recruiting sites that the team they cover leads for you. Also, he continually makes comments like, "I got that feeling about (fill in the blank) school."
Hope he goes to UT and ends up an average, run of the mill RB. He may like the attention now but one day he'll be a man and know that what you are now isnt who you will be tomorrow. Go to UT or Auburn young man, at least there he'll be humble for a change of pace.
Just joined and first post, but I'm not entirely blown away by Green from the footage I've seen. A north-south runner, but just doesn't seem to pull away from high school tacklers and, as a result, gets a lot of 7-8 yard runs. At the next level, he's not going to bulldoze defensive linemen and LBs will be his size. Just don't see him in this offense with his skill set.
Tenn is also hot after freakish athlete Derrick Henry (down to them and Alabama) and I'm guessing his decision will have a bearing on Green's.
I want Green to go to UM just so we can beat his ass all 4-5 years of his career. Kid wanted to be a Buckeye for so long, well he waited to damn long & lost his shot. its his fault & I got a feeling he will pick UM so he can come back to haunt OSU. Which IMO, he wont do shit against OSU as good as he is. OSU will make him the next Mike Hart, 0-4 against the Buckeyes.
People get snippy when recruit is talked about too much. Instead of realizing they are the stalkers, they make it about the recruit and label them a "diva." It's pretty sad and pathetic...
I'd rather him go to Tennessee than UM.
Green would be perfect for Tennessee. He kind of reminds me of Bryce Brown. Lets hope he has a better work ethic than Bryce.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
Rocky Top...Rocky Top Tenessee go Green...we know you love that song!
I dont always root for college athletics, but when i do (which is most of the time) I choose THE Ohio State Buckeyes.

I'm still bummed we stopped recruiting this kid I love Elliott but as we've seen this year with injuries you can never have too many good RBs
Nothing personal against Green, but he just seems to love the attention. The longer he drags it out, the more I'm glad we stopped pursuing him.

Kid has been everywhere a few times and is "leaning" toward all of them.

Why are we keeping track of this kid? OSU isn't interested and he is a bit of a diva.

I want green at vt or Clemson.
Kid is 17-18 and visits several cool places and has a hard time making up his mind. What a diva...

Update: Guess Henry decision is made. 'Bama.

Go Bucks!
#Buckeyes
I wonder if he would be a "diva", or "dragging it out", if he was your son.
Why is there so much hate towards Green? He's done nothing wrong

I can't wait for the day when Alex Anzalone tackles Derrick Green. The amount of Buckeye hatred on that play will be too much to handle...
Best of luck Mr. Green.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
I just want Bell. Mr. Green can go where he wants including the library, conservatory and/or the kitchen.
