Eleven Warriors

Hey...new to the site...just wanted to pose a couple of questions that I've been thinking about. Obviously we've sturggled so far this year...particularly last week. We tackled very poorly...it has to be fixed. I have faith Urban will make sure that is fixed though. One question about how we were defending Cal on Saturday: Outside of the last drive where they HAD to throw the ball vertically, every single one of their passes seemed to be 8 yards or less. Nothing at all down the field. Fick had our DBacks playing way off the WRs...why can they not play press on them, particularly because ALL of their stuff was dink and dunk things such as bubble screens? We were getting much better pressure yesterday (did have to send a few more guys to be fair) so why not take away the short stuff and take our chances in man? Maybe the coaching staff doesn't feel comofortable doing that yet because of how much zone Heacock played, but why not try and play press coverage just few times to see if it works. I mean even on the short yardage downs they were doing that. Maynard was under heat all day but made nice short throws...why not force some longer passes or passes into tight coverage? I trust the coaches no what they were doing...but Cal was running the SAME dink and dunk stuff all day. I might be overreacting a bit...maybe better tackling will fix this...just wanted to post this question to other buckeye fans.
