He's really having a great start to the season. I'm in three leagues, one of which is a 12 team league in which we run 3 WR's so you can really make a run at the league if you have good wideouts. I picked up Hartline this week on a whim and its going to get me the W, especially tasty because the guy has Brees, who has gone HAM in his own right.
I never even liked Hartline, to be honest. I always thought he had the kind of face you wanted to punch. Either way, he's leading me to fantasy victory.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off

After Hartline's last year in Columbus I didn't care much for him at all really. I get that he was upset because his buddy Boeckman got benched, but the way he and to a lesser extent Robiskie acted after TP took over as the QB was not acceptable in my opinion. Not going all out for balls and causing problems in the locker room is never ok in my opinion.
Glad he's doing well though, everyone grows up and lives and learns eventually.
People still consider Clarett and Pryor Buckeyes..and they caused far more harm and turmoil to the program than Hartline ever did...which was basically non.
I just remember him not going out for balls TP threw. It was BS. Then he was a cancer in the locker room. I didn't lose any sleep when he declared for the draft early. That's fine if you don't blame him, but not jumping or diving or giving effort because you are pissed that your friend who wasn't a very good QB got benched is BS. I remember several occasions where he just quit on balls or avoided hits.
If you read my comment I was kidding about the comment about people still considering him a Buckeye, but just because he wasn't as bad as Clarret or TP doesn't absolve him from being an A-hole and bad team mate his last year here.
This is the only person I know that has said anything negative about Hartline. I don't remember him not going after balls. Hartline was one of the tougher SOB's on the team. This doesn't pass the smell test to me.
I'll find a link or 2. I can definitely remember him making some negative comments about Boeckman being benched, and I'm telling you there were balls he just didn't even try for that he could of had. People weren't upset when he left. I distinctly remember that.
Hartline was a tough bastard! Very tough! I always appreciated the guy..a under rated 3 star guy that busted his ass here and became All-Big Ten caliber reciever.
There isn't too much that I miss. That is why I am not sure about it. I knew he was irritated about the TP thing, but him not playing balls out doesn't seem right to me.
I can clearly remember 1 ball each that Robiskie and Hartline quite on in the Troy game the year TP took the reigns at QB. I was in Columbus that day in a bar watching the game and EVERYONE was irritated with the WR's that day. Robiskie had a ball he just needed to extend his hands for to haul in and Hartline had a ball that he could of jumped and caught. He would of taken a hit, didn't jump and the team didn't get a first down as a result. I can remember them like they were yesterday. I lost respect for both of the WRs that day. They were pissed about Boeckman getting benched. Hartline made comments. A lot of people here on this site were over Hartline at that point. I remember it. I'll find links.
Hartline went absolutely ham today, I haven't followed his career in the NFL and was surprised to know that he was still in the league. He'was never the fastest guy or the most physically gifted but he sure was dependable and fearless across the middle. Happy for him but even more excited for my Cards!

funny...guys like Ginn...Gonzo...and Robo... seemed waaaaay more talented in college....yet Hartline continues to produce in the NFL..and these guys are really no where to be found (more or less).........why is that???
How ironic is it that Tressel's wide receivers seem do be doing the best in the NFL? For all of tressel ball, our wide receiver's were our best asset. Huh.

I call Bullsh** on this. I never heard a bad word on Hartline and in no way do I believe this. I am looking forward to your links to this.
@MediBuck, Thank you kind Sir!! We are probably a unique breed LOL! I moved to AZ in '86 from CBUS before I really started to follow NFL. So I've been riding the Card train for a while. Happy to see them 4-0!

@Iron_Buckeye: Wow, I was born in Columbus in 86. Grew up in Phoenix from 89-96 though. So you can sense my elation at seeing Beanie drafted by the Cards that year. I'm trying to sneak into an AZ game this year, since I'm in Cali right now. I was last in CBus three years ago and won't be back for a while :(

Gotta be happy for this guy. I met him at Cardboard Heroes in Zanesville and he was one of the most polite players I've talked to. Aside from Santonio, he's probably having the best career of former Buckeyes players currently in the league.
Seriously. Just saw that 80 yard TD he had. Just put in a waiver for this guy.
Unreal game. Just UNREAL!!! Best buckeye recover in the league right now!

Do people still consider him a Buckeye? I kid.....Great game by Hartline, glad to see he is doing well.
Dolphins single game record for yards. Nice. Duper...Clayton...Hartline.

why wouldn't they? He was a good player who never got into trouble. So he didn't like Pryor..I don't blame him.

Green Bay is getting screwed by the refs.......atroscious
Brees is having an incredible game, has 43.75 points in my league for me. Hell yes.

These refs are as bad as the replacement refs..it all b.s.
This league is IMPOSSIBLE TO FIGURE OUT! Cardinals screwed me big time at home.

Since when has it come out that he was a cancer in the locker room?
It's hard to catch those balls that are no where near you..Pryor threw shit passes all over the field in 2008.

i never heard that either. Pryor was the "punk" in the locker room that year from what i heard. Maybe he was thinking of Ray Small lol.

I remember the Robiskie one for sure! I was sitting in the north endzone about halfway up. It looked like he threw his hands up in defense.
Couldn't stand him, especially after meeting him. Respect though for balling out today.
I literally picked him up minutes before the game began. I'm like a legend in my league now!
I don't doubt that he is a turd. Im not really big into the athletes are awesome thing. Its just the effort thing that I was suprised about.
Wow that is a lot of yards. Houndie won.
And we'll drink to old Ohio, 'Til we wobble in our shoes!

* think it was actually 12 for 253, with a TD
253 is a Dophins franchise record

Brutus is........The People's Champ!!!!
In defense of Gonzalez he was really starting to impress with Colts, he was Top 5 in receptions one year, and then he was hit by the injury bug.
@ bucks43201- *12 for 253 yards & TD not 153 yards. If you're going to correct someone at least get the correction right . . .
Iron_Buckeye: No way. I'd thought that I was the only concurrent OSU-AZ Cards fan in existence. You, Sir, have excellent taste.
