Le'Veon Bell 253 yards on 36 carries and 1 TD. 40 yards came from a garbage time run in the last minute, but still an impressive day overall considering EMU was stacking the box the whole game.
Pros: MSU is the definition of a "one-dimensional" offense.
Cons: Le'Veon Bell runs through arm tackles like a hot knife through butter. If the defense doesn't learn to wrap up by next Saturday, Bell's going to cause some headaches.

i for one(and im pretty sure im the only one) am feeling pretty confident..sparty could not find the end zone for 7 straight quarters vs ND and emich..and im pretty sure braxton is better than golson and he did alright against that sparty defense..bell will be tough..but like you said they are the definition on 1 dimensional..early prediction..24-13 good guys

MSU is a different offense than any team we've faced all year. We can stack the box and force maxwell to throw the ball, as he will be the worst QB we've faced this far, and by far MSU has the worst passing game. And most of the rushing yards we've allowed have come from speedy backs, not power backs like Bell. Not saying we're gonna shut him down, but I highly doubt it will look anything like year first 4 games. I'll go 20-16 bucks

The way we tackle it doesn't matter if we stack the box. I hope its just a case of playing to our competition. The space our DBs give maxwell could shread us. If our defense cant man up UAB you think we can MSU? the were ranked like 103 in total offense coming into our game with them
I'm hoping that the starting safeties next week are Barnett and Johnson. Tired of Bryant and his big hit, big misses and big penalties.
They're really the only game I'm concerned about our lack of a MLB. Grant seems to not understand anything. Klein is an unathletic missed tackle machine. I wouldn't mind throwing Crowell in the middle and seeing how he does even though he's a bit undersized.
We got nothing for Bell from what I've seen so far. I think this will actually be a close game because MSU won't score alot of points but I see OSU losing a close one.
This should be a very good game to watch. If our offense plays better, our defense plays better, and our special teams are solid I think we have a chance. Lol. Seriously we all know that we are better than what we've seen lately because we've seen what the offense CAN look like and it better be clicking next week if we want a chance. We also have to be realistic so who knows, but I am not feeling like it's a given loss or anything.
Saw some of sparty game, post game presser by Dantonio was classic.
This game did give me a bit of hope and hopefully MSU's one dimensional style continues and Maxwell doesn't have a career day to go along with Bell's. I did (in my supremely drunken state) remember that this game did give me a little glimmer of hope yesterday that OSU has a chance to win next Saturday. But we all know how chances can go...sorry I gave you the long Jerry Sandusky version of that clip.
