Chris Nee, newly of 247, has a story on Levonte "Kermit" Whitfield that he will choose a schools soon. His finalists are FSU, Miami, OSU, Clemson, and WVU and at Gridiron Kings he said the Seminoles and Hurricanes were on top. I am pretty sure it will be one of those two schools, but I guess you never know. Keep an eye out for his decision in the coming weeks. He will run track as well as play football at whatever school he chooses.

I wish him sucess in the future, I just know it probably wont be in the scarlet and grey.
Jacobs in = Whitfield out

This kid isn't leaving FL to come to OSU after we already have Marshal and Jacobs... The next WR to commit will have to be somebody who isn't a slot player.
Why would he not want to play for OSU because of Marhsall, and Jacobs?
less to compete against
If that's truly his reason then we don't want that kind of player, no elite player is ever scared of competition.
I don't really think we need 3 slot receivers either. I'm sure the staff would welcome his commitment, but I think Gibson and Quick would be both higher priorities.
@Buckeye ... Why not? I remember Urban while at Florida have Demps, Rainey, and the other little guy who returned kicks all on the roster at the same time, and keep in mind Marshall isn't a little WR by any means.
I want recruits msart enough to know their changes.
Don't know how a kid could commit to Miami right now with everything happening there unless that is your dream school and you are going to play there no matter what (see PSU)
@Bama... Marshal might not be small but they are planning on using him in the slot position. You have to remember that Demps and Rainey's primary position was RB. Whitfield is a WR. Again, I would take him if I was on the staff, the more speed and depth the better of you are. I think they're probably banking on 1 of Quick and Gibson commiting then they will focus on an OL and the rest will be defense.
Marshall is 5'11" tops.
Maybe 6' tops. He lined up side to side with Cam Burroughs, looked the same ht.
