Bucknuts has posted a couple of teasers lately reguarding ryan timmons and a possible offer/commitment. he has said a buckeye offer would put ohio state On top. Any guesses on if he becomes a buckeye?

yeah, just added him. I'd prefer Mitchell, even though they are not the exact same position....just feel like Lewis is more of a luxury than a need at this point

Foster is NOT happening in this class. I would see us picking up North or Stevens before we get Foster... Here is probably how our class will finish out:
Mitchell
Lewis
Munger or Johnson
Gibson or Quick
Worley or Bell
I'm not sure if Hayes leaving gives us an extra scholly this year or next... If it does, I think we could double up on Quick and Gibson both. I'd take Timmons, but prefer Quick and Gibson since they play true WR positions. We already have Marshal and Jacobs for the slot/H-back position.
Ok ok. I havent been on today. The kid loves OSU and is flying under the radar. I have heard like I said before he rated much higher by the coaches than what he was given credit for in here. Sounds like an offer is not there yet but I am sure if he does become a Buckeye everyone here is in for a treat. Add a Stevens or a Quick or both and OSU has the top class. If Timmons becomes a Buckeye it will be an upgrade at slot/RB. Maybe one of the ATH becomes a corner? You knew it wouldnt take me too long
I like him a lot, as I've said, but I think with Elliott, Marshall, and Jacobs already in there's just no room
I like Timmons, and say add as many "playmaker" types as you can given the opportunity. We have plenty of tradional WRs currently on the roster. I hope he gets the offer. The more people say he won't get the offer the more I think he will.
I think we round off the WR set with Gibson, Timmons, and Quick... all three.

Timmons is 5-10 and the same talent as Jacobs (both 3*, not that I really take much from ratings). He showed up to FNL and he still doesn't have an offer. I assume the only way he gets one is if we miss on Quick and Gibson. Apparently the staff have their eyes set on some true WR's.
TennbuCkeye19. With you being from Tennessee at the moment I am sure you have heard of Randall Cobb a kid getting very little respect mostly because he was 5'10. He ended up one of the best in SEC drafted early round by GreenBay and won an espy. Cobb is just one example of many. If you recruit all Prima Donnas your team becomes a Miami U.

Well I don't refer to anyone as experts other than the coaches themselves. For that reason I put the most weight on offer lists, but I do concede that if a kid can't get his name out there, it's hard for him to get coaches' attention. That being said, I do that Timmons is a solid slot option, but I don't think he's an upgrade.
Ok I am maintaining silence until there is something more relevant. I agree with most of you about the chances are next to zero. Probably being used as a pawn like many have pointed out. Around Frankfort you hear about how Urban loves his game but words have no meaning without that offer.
I love Timmons (in a Platonic sense) The kid has great, explosive lateral movement at speed, and that is a real good trait. I hope that he and Gibson wind up as Buckeyes.

@waycraken: i will try and keep tabs on timmons and how he does and let you know. fiancee is going with me, going to be a trick keeping her there the whole time, but; even though she is a big blue fan (uk) she says urban is making a huge mistake by not getting timmons in osu colors. she was the first one to tell me about woodside going to toledo.

What the stats from lasts years 2500 yds 38tds on 100 touches cant tell you is what would his numbers had been if he averaged 3 or 4 qtrs of play??? My guess would be 4000 with 50 tds.
First time Buckstu gets to see him play. It be interesting to see what he thinks. FCs offensive coor is pretty sharp.

If I was in a position to guide him I would tell him to have 2 things in mind. The first and foremost Which school academically fits your interests well. And the second which school has laid down a blue print for YOUR success and how they plan to use you. Who is genuine and making you feel needed.
Timmons definitely sounds like a special player. Will be interesting to see how this all pans out.
