- Jalen Christian unofficially visits West Virginia
- Kenny Hayes unofficially visits Michigan State
- Dorian Johnson will be on College Football Live on ESPN at 330 to update his status on his recruitment
- Despite reports that continue to surface, 2014 prospects Demetrius Knox and Daniel Gresham will NOT visit Texas this weekend
In case you missed it, here it is
Rivals $ - Glenville lineman seeing plenty of interest '14 OH OL Marcelys Jones
- Receiving interest from USC, UCLA, Wisconsin, Arizona State, Illinois, Ohio State, Florida, and Tennessee...obviously like OSU but is open to anyone...talks about being a part of the Glenville tradition.
Related to both Aundrey Walker and Donovan Munger, FYI...
BN $ - 'Smoke House' Champ A Buckeye? '13 KY WR Ryan Timmons
- OSU is keeping in contact and he says an offer would change things.
I think the pecking order right now is 1. Gibson 2. Allen 3. Timmons...with guys like Quick and Stevens possibly entering the discussion if they get VERY serious about OSU...they seem like the kind of guys you take and make room for later.
Rivals $ - Baugh feels at home in Columbus '13 CA TE Marcus Baugh
- Recaps his visit and is excited about how he will be used in OSU's new offense...will not visit any other schools and wants to get to The Game.
2014 OT Demetrius Knox in no hurry
(ESPN Buckeye Nation)
FORT WORTH, Texas -- His best friend has given the Longhorns his pledge. So what’s next for Demetrius Knox?
The Fort Worth (Texas) All Saints offensive tackle is in no rush to make a decision, despite the fact teammate Daniel Gresham committed to Texas on Tuesday.
"I don't feel pressure," Knox said. "But everybody else is just waiting for me to say the word."
2014 WR Nate Brown ready to impress
(ESPN Buckeye nation)
The first game of the season always carries with it a great deal of excitement and a touch of nervousness -- sometimes maybe a little bit of pressure. For wide receiver Nate Brown (Suwanee, Ga./North Gwinnett), the first game of the 2012 season could go a long way in determining his future.
“I went up to Vanderbilt about two weeks ago and they were showing a lot of interest,” Brown said. “They asked for my game film from our first game of the season and they said they will probably make a decision off of that.”
The Commodores aren’t the only team that is waiting to see how he has progressed this summer.
"I always loved Ohio State and Stanford," Brown said. "I visited Stanford over the summer. They showed a whole lot of interest, too. But at the same time they asked for game film. They are in the same boat as Vandy in that they are looking at me in my first game this season."
More to come later...

Thx Gene!
Hopefully we can keep the Glenville pipeline with UFM
i thought ryan timmons had been written off as a buckeye?
Timmons is a Buckeye if offered IMO...my opinion though is he doesn't get the offer
TIMMONS! Woohoo! Let's GO BUCKS!!!
Thanks Gene. And most of all...Thank you Alex! I couldn't agree more about Timmons. There are others more impactful at WR that are still interested and OSU's staff know if they offer, then he'll commit. So until this clears up below...he won't get an offer. I hope your comments make others see the light like I did about a month ago before FNL...

wheres waycraken? i thought this was his day
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
Dorian Johnson, College Football Live, 30 mins
Any idea why Gresham went ahead and committed to Texas pretty much right after he got the offer from them? Kid still has plenty of time and could end up getting more offers. If him and Knox are doing this 'we're gonna play together' thing, I wonder why he didn't wait till Knox announces.
Allens father liked what Michigan is doing and is taking second visit. I believe things have turned in OSU's favor with Quick. I have them:
1.Quick
2.Gibson
3.Timmons
FYI Taivon Jacobs is the truth, this guy will be household name at slot and return game. His older brother has the proto typical wr look/build, but Taivon has the skills.
Johnson wasn't on college football live... they talked about him but he never came on the show?
"I like to believe that my best hits border on felonious assault."
--Jack Tatum
He did a phone interview. Said he was considering OSU, Pitt, and Va Tech that was reported earlier this week.
I think Quick and Timmons plus1 ends up at OSU. Maybe Timmons is an upgrade at slot?
WayCraken, just how many receivers do you think we take?
5 wouldn't shock me with a much smaller group next year.
With scholarship reductions I think we stop at 4.
2014 has some good receivers too. And I don't think any of our current guys are seniors, so maybe only take one more receiver until 2014?
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Based on past recruiting classes for Meyer, it would be out of the ordinary to take more than 4 WR's.
You guys do know we have other needs and limited slots, right? I'd guess we take only one more - Quick or Gibson.
I think 3. Quick and Timmons plus Gibson or Stevens. Personally i like people who are committed so Stevens would need to prove that. At the moment i would take Gibson.
The 2013 class is considered as one of the best nationwide. We better get this talent in 2013.
I think we take three also. Quick, Gibson, and one of Timmon, Stevens, or Allen.
*bump*
@genestar. I know there are two slots signed. My question to you is Do you think Timmons would be an upgrade?
