Terrible news. Things like this make football games seem small. Hopefully the ambulance crews are just a precaution, and not tending to a serious injury. Thoughts and prayers with the player and his family
UPDATE: Player is reportedly DT Ondre Pipkins, one of their top recruits from the last class. Movement in extremities -- a good sign -- https://twitter.com/Spath_Wolverine/status/236462673695494145

It was Pipkens, has movement in his extremeties and was taken to the hospital for precautionary measures. Hoping for a full recovery.
Prayers for him.
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
Wishing him a full and speedy recovery.
That's awful, kid has NFL potential already. Hope he recovers quick.
Scary stuff. I hope he's ok. It's been a bad week for freshmen Dlinemen. Prayers, but I'm sure he'll be fine. He is a transformer, after all---Pee Wee Optimus Prime!
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

Hope he's ok.. I want to see his can get kicked around in columbus this fall, on the field.. Wish him a speedy recovery..
There aren't many things scarier than a black out moment on a football field. One second your hitting someone and the next thing you know a team of people are tending to you. I hope he pulls through and heals fully.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Hope he's okay. I hate Michigan but never, ever forget these are just young men playing a game. Prayers for him and his family.
Hopefully this kid is okay and I hope this experience humbles him. I believe Ondre was the prime trash talker of his recruiting class.
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
Really? Come on man...what does this have to do with him being humbled?
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Exactly. I'm not Pipkens's biggest fan, but I never would want this to happen to anyone.
I know right, just because he talked trash doesn't mean he deserves this!
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
Why are we seeing so any people becoming jerks on here to these kids? I left other sites because it seemed no one could reel in that nonsense.
Anyone know how it happened? I'd guess maybe he buked his head down when engaged in a block and maybe a fullback caught him on the crown of his helmet. Scary, hope this kid is okay.
Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.
come on man. whether he talks tarsh or not nobody needs an injury to make them humble. trash talking is a part of the game and life. if we get so caught up in the trash talk, need to get a life. Pray the kid is ok and makes a full recovery. we all need to put football into perspective.
With all the concussion talk lately, stories about microfracture surgeries, and freak accidents like this I have to say I'm glad I played baseball my whole life and opted against football. Hope the kid bounces back alright!
Hope he gets better. Dude looks like he could be a future first round pick if things work out for him.
btalbert25 I am glad I took the college track route instead as well...
