Hey Buckeyes,
How good are you at predicting the scores of the games win or lose... If you wanna find out and compete with other buckeyes, opponents and college football fans visit my blog... It works really simple. Predict a score, state who wins on this post (i.e. 24-14 OSU) and watch your name be added to the blog.... A few hours after the conclusion of the game the winner or person coming the closest to the correct score will be announce... I plan on doing this through the season and adding a few things to the blog beside the predictions (i.e. video and pictures from gameday and seasons past). The competitors will come from ESPN and elevenwarriors for now but might grow in the future. Bookmark the blog and tune back to see if you win... I hate to sound like I'm saying you'll win $1,000 but its just a way to have a little fun throughout the season. Figured I do this since Oregon has one of their own too.

Defensive Predictions: 2 INTs, 7 sacks, 2 FF/1 recovered... the offense will be so-so due to the rain IMO, at least compared to what it will eventually be like, but the defense should be oustanding.
I think Miami-O gets rid of the ball too quickly to register 7 sacks against them.

Bucktooth; we shall see, won't we? And yes, my game prediction was based on a nearly unplayable downpour for at least part of the game. Also, the first time out of the starting gate for the Urban Meyer offense.
Last year in one of our September home games, the threat of thunderstorms with active lightning caused the interruption, and then the early-ending, of our game with Western Michigan. Unthinkable in years past, the universities are now petrified of weather-related liability. I'll bet the "under" on points if there is a possibility of the game being shortened.
Since I'll be there at the 'Shoe, I'm actually hoping for good weather.

I'm with you man. This is going to be an easier win than the score indicates. I like 31-10 with each score coming with ease but a handfull of blunders on offense that stall drives. It's going to take some doing before OSU is operating at full speed. Defense won't allow much at all-conditions will affect Miami greatly and OSU's D is going to be really good.

No but I will represent. It might be different if we had a bye; but on a game day, I represent. There won't be many jerseys of any color on display, I don't think. Mostly scarlet ponchos. And one maize one.

24-7. First games in new offenses, in potentially bad weather, don't go as well as expected.

Buckeyes scored 27 or more points seven times last year. I'll say that again --last year. I'm skeptical of the predictions on this board for 50+ points for the game, but I am equally skeptical about the received wisdom that it will take a year or two to learn the new offense. I expect that the O will get better as the season goes on, but keep in mind we are not switching from one offensive system to another one. We are switching from NO offensive system to actually having one. Braxton Miller could put up 27 against Miami playing backyard ball. However, I suppose you're right, an actual hurricane could keep the score down. Otherwise, I'd say Buckeyes score in the high 30s or low 40s.

I'm going because I've been invited, and because I think the OSU home-game experience is a treat (and a lot less tense when my team isn't there) and because I'm not traveling to Dallas and I don't have any other game to go to at noon and because I think the Urban Meyer debut is a very big deal and because Michigan is going to be on all 37 televisions in Eddie George's place at 8:00 pm.
