Let's go IU!...$100 down pays out $6,100; actually, Sparty is a good play here...

...saw this on sportsinteraction. Ramzy may want to wager on IU; there's no time like the present.

But, seriously, I think MSU is a good play at + 800. You put down a mere $12.50, & you'll be up a hundy if they take the B1G.

Will 11-dub re-assign DJ's old pickem section this season?

I hope so. Gambling is so much fun!   I love sportinteraction.com, but they make it difficult to deposit. I refuse to use my bank account to deposit, I prefer using gift cards, so I'll probably go to Bovada this year.

I've had some sweet parlays come through for me, but I'll never forgot the one that got away....

In 2009, at 130AM, I had a 10 leg parlay worth an $850 payout.  I had 9 picks right, all that was left was a late PAC game. Cal and Arizona... I had Arizona picked to cover a small spread. +4.5 I think. Cal was up 3pts.  There was a minute left, and I almost started celebrating my biggest betting win in a few years. Cal had the ball midfiield. Arizona had 1 timeout left, so all Cal had to do was run the ball twice and the clock runs out.

Cal ran the ball, Arizona calls a meaningless timeout... it's now 3rd down with less than 40 sec left.....  Cal Runs the ball.... "A" gap, right off the centers ass... the kid breaks through the defense and runs 50 yards UNTOUCHED for a TD, thus pissing in the face of my payday.  I nearly cried. I was all smiles thinking, YES, just tackle him inbounds!!!

Anyone else have a great sportsbetting story?  mine was a heart breaker. But one I'll never forget.

@Gluefingers Lavelli --- you're right about SIA making it more difficult to deposit, esp. since the "e-check" method is gone.

As for stories --- I feel your pain, that is a heartbreaker! I've had some ups & downs, too. I do remember, (think it was the '03-'04 bowl season), a 5-team moneyline parlay on the underdogs to all win outright, with the 5 teams spread throughout the week. I can't remember all of the teams which were involved in that 5-team money-dog parlay, but I know one of them was an Aaron Rodgers-led Cal upsetting Virginia Tech, & all of the other teams came through. I think it was like 50 to 1 odds for that par. The only thing was, I wasn't crazy confident about it, so I only put like $10 down, but it paid out near $500.

I usually do decent on the college football wagering, but instead of pulling out after the NFL season, I ride some basketball games & lose more than not. The "Live Betting" is what gets me. I learned my lesson. No more live betting.

It will be betting season in about 3 weeks...giddy-up! with the risk of giving the impression that I'm a degenerate gambler. Remember, it's only "gambling" if you lose. If you win, it's just "investing" with your football knowledge.

I agree, Each year I allow myself a certain amount to play with. I usually start with 100 bucks, and won't allow myslef to spend more than 400 bucks on a season.  I stayed away from live betting as I've heard too many bad stories.  Sometimes you can't help but things are rigged. lol.  I remember Boise State having a 37 point spread against a scrub team. 37 is an oddball spread.... but they won by 37 exactly, since then I've been careful.

I usually play a bunch of cheap parlays 1-5 bucks. I like doing 6-8 leggers on the cheap with big payouts. It's like a lotto ticket, but cheap and fun. I've hit on a few 1 dollar bets that have payed me over 100.  I either do that or go heavy on obvious favorites when straight up lines are open. EX:  when Alabama is playing Ole Miss, we all know Bama is going to win. The moneyline might not pay out much with 50 bucks, but drop 250 on it and you can make an easy 70 bucks. I do that on occasion and usually win.  I almost always avoid betting on ACC teams.... such terrible luck and shotty QB play.

I like Sportinteraction because they open up more moneylines. Bovada doesn't do that as much I've noticed.

It's not really gambling if you go into it knowing theres a good chance you'll lose it. Like I said, I'll usually spend around 300-400 a year. If I lose it, it's the cost of entertainment. lol   Last year was my worst season. I was done by week 8 of the college season.

...yep, I usually start out with $100-$150 and bet really conservatively the first few weeks. Then limit myself, and if I win, I'll only bet with half of that. My main thing to look for is teams that can run the ball, (ranked in the top 15 nationally in rushing offense), against a team that can't stop the run & doesn't have a "come-from-behind"offense.

Quick question about Bovada 1) can you deposit using a gift card and 2) is it easy to pull out your winnings?

Why not Iowa? Great QB, good coach, usually solid defense... I'm not sold on Sparty's QB situation.

I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.

For Bovada you have to use a Visa NetSpend reloadable gift card. If you call Bovada they can tell you what stores in your area hve them. Sometimes they're hard to find.

As for payouts, I've only cashed out once, and it took me bout 8 days to get my money. That was when it was Bodog though.

I'm surprised Purdue is so low on that list. They have a solid defense, get Wisconsin at home. If they win that game they have a legit shot of getting in the title game, and then who knows. Illinois has some talent, but I think Purdue is a more solid team. As long as they stick with Caleb TerBush instead of that Marve turd they should be fine on offense. Ralph Bolden is back with Akeem Shavers who is solid. Antavian Edison is a very good WR.
