Dunn may be in trouble again. Alliance police released their video of the incident and his girlfriend screamed over and over "Brionte, why did you lie? You smoked some too! Why did you lie and say I did it?"
Heard the audio on the radio today, don't know about where to find the video yet...
While I don't think it changes anythign legally (no files were charged), it may change how Urban handles things. Brionte just kept cool the whole time saying "No I didn't, chill out" etc. I.E. He knew the camera was on.
Anyone else heard of this? Anyone seen/heard the video?

maybe a girl trying to not take the blame, a girl who was scared and tried to do anything to get the heat off of her, maybe he did smoke some, but a series of tests came back negative. Maybe a girl trying to get him in trouble, maybe just some drama queen that goes off on the drop of a hat, who knows man. All I know is urban said he took tests and passed them, so thats good enough for me. just a crappy situation.
(my comment does not imply that I know the person, nor does it imply that I think she is a liar. I am just stating possible scenarios, who really knows?)
Don't think Urban would take this seriously, considering Dunn passed a drug test
As I said in the other thread... not news. His girlfriend testified in court that he smoked weed. Dunn testified that he did not and his testimony was backed up by a negative police administered drug test.
Hopefully Meyer will have a stern talk with him about making good choices in the future, but otherwise I suspect there is nothing new to see here.
B*tches be crazy
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again," said Meyer. "Do it a little harder next time."
Absolutely, who knows? Legally, nothing will change, but I wonder if it will make Urban have a(nother) heart-to-heart with Brionte.
Also, once this gets out more, bring on the perceptions that Meyer is soft and lets drug users play etc. by all the haters. Just what the Bucks need.
I do remember hearing that tests came back negative, so hopefully THAT'S the real deal.
@command - Ahh, didn't know she already testified this in court. Thanks for that info.
The court case is over and they found him not guilty so really nothing to talk about. Sounds like he needs a new girlfriend though?
My thought on this is Urban has more than likely addressed this with Dunn and has him on a very short leash. He passed the tests, and was found not guilty blah, blah, blah, but don't think for a second Urban is a fool.
This probably counts as strike one and two for Dunn if you ask Urban. I'm willing to bet there were some conversations had behind closed doors explaining to Dunn exactly where he sits and the consequences of another slip-up. just my opinion
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
Maybe he didn't inhale?
I thought this was going to be really, really, really, really, really exciting news.
Think they are still going out?

@ Flip...no, I use like 20 exclamation points for really, really, really, really, really excitign news ;-)
It was a big shock to me this morning when I heard this, but only because I didn't know his girl had already testified that he smoked some. I was pretty sure there had been tests that came back negative, but wasn't certain. In other words, I thought this being "leaked" was going to have more of an effect.
I agree with what others have said, Urban has likely talked with him and he's probably on a short leash and/or thin ice.
Sorry for the fire drill over nothing.
no matter what, the back of a squad car is the last place to talk.... Does she not understand the miranda rights? my guess is no.
Has the Alliance PD put out anything about the drug test being administered? Everything I've seen discusses Bri'onte's Dad saying he passed a drug test.
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

I may have misspoke when I said it was a police administered drug test... that's an assumption on my part. "When Dunn took the stand, he denied smoking marijuana, and defense attorney Eugene O’Byrne presented the results of a drug test showing Dunn was negative for marijuana and other drugs after the incident." Not clear who did the test.
Dunn got lucky here. I have to say that I've never heard of the police being so lenient on drug possession charges. "Possession is 9/10ths of the law," and in general, if you are driving a car with something in it, you are considered by the law to be in possession of that something. So the argument is that it's his mom's car. Silly argument... so any time I want to transport something illegal... like a bomb or a kilo of cocaine, I'm in the clear as long as I borrow someone else's car and deny knowledge? And then why wasn't his mom charged with possession? And if it wasn't hers (she claims she doesn't know how it got there), then why wasn't the girlfriend who was also in the car and admitted to smoking it charged with possession? Just seems off.
The only drug test I have heard about was administered by the staff at ohio state. I don't think the police actually had him go through with the drug test they asked about in the video. That being said who know's really what happened. All we know is he is on the team and found not guilty of all charges.
That video was out a long time ago. We already knew this info and it sounded incriminating but obviously he did not have it in his system. Word is Urban tested him himself and he was clear.
In regards to possession, his mom came forward and said it was hers.
Sorry guys, we had this convo before!
From what I have heard, it sounded like the test was administered by a 3rd party and not the police or OSU, but regardless of who did it, it was supposedly negative.
I think that all of this negative attention and the unwelcome distraction, despite having charges dropped, will put him behind Rod Smith on the reps at #2 RB, and will diminish his chances of getting the PT he probably thought he would be getting with Hall out. My guess is that he will have to earn his way to receiving more reps.
This is old news, hes innocent and vying for carries. Let it go

I agree with ^^^^. Let this thing go. He passed a drug test and was found innocent in court. Nothing to see here.
Seems to me like the girl was paranoid that since Bri'onte claimed it was not his, it would be pinned as being her weed. She denied smoking it, and since he denied as well, seems like she took that as his word against her's.
I don't think she realized there was a possibility for a third alternative in the situation.

Somebody snitchin'!
I agree she's snitching to get herself out of trouble. Was he smoking...probably, hell I don't know ("may be" not). However after she got the cuffs on was when she started squealing...just saying.

"I.E. He knew the camera was on." Move to Michigan troll.
edit: !!!!!!!
I don't know if he did it or not. If he did and the charges were dropped, he's getting a pass, THIS time. I'm sure that coach Meyer has talked to him and put him on notice. One thing is for sure, he needs to get rid of that bird and get a new one.
@ Schooey
Wow. Feel better? Because I don't necesssarily believe one player who's never played a down for OSU - who's already caught up in something shady/illegal, I should move to Michigan, and I'm a troll?
It's OK - I forgive you.
Is this "super secret insider news" again?.....lol
@Avail...
He was a little harsh, you aren't a troll. But this has been out for awhile and all of the charges were dropped. It's not like the police just stumbled upon the dash cam and audio. This is just bringing up negative news about something that's a non-issue. It's football season.
"They don't know what they don't know." - Coach Mick
You said he knew the camera was on, not me mate.
No. Wrong. Anecdotes about what constitutes "possession" are largely incorrect. People who don't know what possession entails need to stop pretending that they do.
Actual possession = having the object on your person or in your direct physical custody or control.
Constructive possession = having knowledge of the nature and character of the substance PLUS dominion and control.
Being in control of a vehicle does not equal being in control of every item within that vehicle nor does it equal having knowledge of everything that's within that vehicle. The law doesn't presume knowledge absent a few possible exceptions. If one has control over a vehicle but there's no evidence that that person knows that there's an illegal substance in the trunk or even under the seat, that person is NOT in possession of the contraband under the law. These factors may be circumstances that can be considered along with other factors but merely being in proximity to an illegal substance doesn't mean one possesses it without more. Typically, such individuals say something stupid to the police and admit knowledge of the contraband. Dunn either legitimately didn't know, or he was smart enough to keep his mouth shut. That woman wasn't as bright.
Please, leave the law to the lawyers.
@OSU07ASU10
Thanks. And, yeah, I know - above I apologized for the "fire drill." This seemed like news to me - it sounded very "fresh" when I heard it on the radio this morning. I didn't realize his girl had already testified he did smoke, and I sorta knew that tests had come back negative, but I figured that this "new" (but maybe not that new) video/audio might cause Meyer to do something or handle it differently.
To all: I KNOW legally nothing else will happen, charges were dropped etc., and I said as much in the original post. I apologize (again) for repeating news. No need for the harsh words, though - just stop reading and move on. I'll make my next post better, promise.
The local radio shows (97.1) ran that story all day on Monday. They just love to conjure up controversy. It sure pays the bills...
I think I like Brionte more after watching that video. He played it cool, knew what to do, and pulled it off like a G. Really don't care if he smoked the weed or not, 70-80% of our team, if not more, does anyway.
October 20th: National Kenneth Guiton Day
Dunn is fine. Passed the drug test, found not guilty. Move on.
