I was pretty homesick too when I first move to C-Bus, and I was just two hours from home!.....I still live in C-Bus and love it. He'll grow some tough skin once the season starts up and C-Bus should grow on him sooner or later.....hopefully. Different strokes for different folks.

Hope he sticks it out and makes friends would hate to see him leave
My hunch was he'd transfer eventually..dunno why, just have that feeling. Hope he sticks it out as we'll need depth in 2014-2015
Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
This is inherent when you have a staff like Meyer and co. They're intense, demanding, and tough, and there are always gonna be players that don't buy in to a system like that. The system weeds out the weak. Not saying Riquan is one of those guys, but there are a ton of young WRs on this team and he can get buried pretty fast
Similar to James Louis, I was surprised he'd commited to us in the first place. I don't see him staying beyond this year. When he sees the other young guys playing, itll just push him further away. Southward transfering wouldn't get much of a reaction from me. I'm more interested to see what happens with Cardale Jones. My hunch right now is he will transfer once Barrett gets on campus and OSU offers their 2014 group. Shame if its true because Jones is a big kid and I think could be a decent QB somewhere.
I thought this was the point of the big brother program? When kids are down, like this kid obviously is, someone on the team, whether his official big bro or not, should be helping him out. Some things go beyond football
Buckeye06 is right. His "big bro" should be there to help him out. I guess we'll see...
Someone will step up, twitter goes around quickly.
18-
I'm interested in Jones too. I was a little shocked when he decided to come here. I really thought Toledo would have been a strong fit for him back when he was recruited. We already had Brax in that class, Guiton, and I already forgot the name of th kid who transferred this summer. Jones had early interest in Toledo, and probably could have gone there without a year at Virginia Academy of Sub-College Prep. Plus he has a game, if put in a Toledo offense, could really light up the MAC, and maybe even garner some national attention.
Bucktoooooooth, heeyaw.
Even if someone steps up it doesn't mean he's going to love the system. As someone said above, this staff is demanding and Meyer basically said that last week was a make or break week it was going to be the toughest week of camp etc. They are trying to break guys so they can build them back up, but also trying to break guys to see who has what it takes. Some guys just aren't tough enough for it.
It didn't seem like it was a football problem at all the way I read it. He seemed to miss his family. That indicates he needs to be brought more fully into the football family. Maybe he's homesick because the work is too hard or not what he imagined. But the way I read it it was a personal thing not a football thing
From watching ESPN All Access he should have a Big Brother to pick him up. Hopefully things will change, but he is from FL and that is a long way away for an 18 year old kid.
