No word on any Buckeyes sites of the status of Epitropoulos, Southward, Thomas, Reeves or Bogard. Very little on Schutt, OConnor, Powell. We all have a pretty good idea of what we have in veterans. I wish more time would be spent on the incoming Frosh.

I have been reading nothing but good things about Micheal Thomas. Not much more about anybody else.
Well and of course read alot of good stuff about Spence and Washington being on the 2 deep
People have been hearing Najee Murray is actually performing best of the frosh corners, and could also be looked at on offense.
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
It seems like we may not hear much about them unless they start getting more reps in practice. Also, when you say Thomas, do you mean Blake (not Mike)?
We do not know what we have with Reeves..very important if Murray can be used for offense. Bogard as well. I think Frank E can be a contributor at WR. Pat Eflein?? Come on Eleven Warriors, put someone on that.
They've only had a few practices. Not much to really report I would guess.

Saw something about Epitropoulos doing some punting... Probably not needed but I also heard that Buchanan had been inconsistent, so maybe a little competition to at least motivate Buchanan.
I am with BJason, not much can be said really so far. I did hear Murray was playing very well and Armani Reeves had a good practice I think it was Monday.
Schutt has been surprisingly quiet but the rest of those guys are probably not going to be in the write ups much. They are behind some deep units. You name anyone of them and there is probably 3-4 guys in front of them playing their butts off.
Here is a write up involving some of the Freshman names....

Go Bucks!!!
Schutt has been quiet, but DT is one of the hardest positions to get playing time under. It normally takes a year or so for a DT to work his body into proper condition.

Except for guys like Hankins and Simon.

Noah Spence and Boom Perkins are my favorite freshmen coming in this year. I've already started my search for a Noah Spence (#8) jersey. He is going to be a special player. I don't see many OT's being able to stop him consistently. I hope he stays 4 years...
BuckeyeJason: I said it normally takes a year for a DT to be ready, I didn't say it always takes a year.

Also Hankins and Simon aren't what you'd call "normal"
Washington, Spence, Pittman, Cam Williams, Jamal Marcus and Decker will see the field...take it to the bank! Decker may be a starter come 9/1 if Fragel can't block Simon or any of these aforementioned names above...which I've heard he's having problems. No excuses...either block the best or you're not playing. Commendable of him to switch positions but offensive line needs to be improved and not sure he's an improvement. Murray could see time as well...we'll see as well as Mike Thomas (MT will for sure at #3 or 4 wr).

^By that logic, no tackle in the league should be playing, because no one can stop Simon. I'd be willing to bet money that Decker can't either
Hankins and Simon weren't dominating their frosh years either. Hankins was only playing like 1/4 of the game his freshman year and Simon only had 12 tackles his first year.
Bennett was probably the guy i'd seem play the most dominant as a frosh at OSU in a while honestly. There were downs where he absolutely took over.
The depth at DT is already Bennett, Goebel, Hankins, Hale at the very least as true DTs, with the ability to move Washington and Simon inside. Half those guys are gone after this year likely so the room for guys like Schutt will open up
@buck-I.8
You can't stop Simon, you can only slow him down :)
Buckeye 06: did you miss Heyward play in 2007 as a freshman? Was pretty Damn good..freshman all American honors. Simon also played a lot of reps on probably the deepest Buckeye D-Line in the last decade in 2009, even in that big game vs USC in the shoe.

In Remington's link, they have Mewhort being the only one who could stop Spence. Also, I'm seeing that Fragel is great on run blocking and Decker is great on pass blocking (comparatively), so I'm not sure either how this necessarily plays to Decker starting.
Being that run blocking is easier, Decker should get the nod based off of his pass blocking ability over Fragel.

Fragel / Decker scenario will be a good one. Fragel does have some pass catching experience and the "tackle eligible" comes into play, Decker, thru what I have heard from 11W site, knows playbook, etc. , very fundamentally sound for frosh. hope both earn significant play this year.
