I was ready to run through a wall after that speech
It definitely looks like it will be a good watch.
Did anyone go farther in the time schedule to see if it will be played at a later time tonight, or some type of encore performance? I am not gonna be home until late because i gotta pick up my GF from her PA rotations and I do not get out of work until 6. I NEED TO SEE THIS!!!!
Edit: I saw that they are going to replay the episode at 10 p.m. tonight. PERFECT!!!!!!
just bumped a story to the main page...I'm stoked
I'm just looking for an alternative way to watch it since I won't be by a TV with ESPNU at 5 p.m. so if anybody hears of one, throw it my way.
And yes, already checked, not airing on ESPN3.
DVR is set

YES, YES... DVR is set...

Pretty cool to see Adolphus and Noah in the background when Meyer was talking. You could tell they both had visions of QB sacks, TFL's, blocked passes and owned O-Linemen dancing in their heads.
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Thats a great speech. Cant wait until September.
@Derek: As DUBJAY mentioned above... it will re-air again tonight at 10pm on ESPNU. Also if you scroll 24/48/72 hrs ahead, etc; on your tv guide you will notice that they're showing repeats of the event all month long.
Good Luck.
Hope people put it online like OU's last year
I forgot to record it this morning before I went to work, and because I live in Central Time I am going to be at work... but I am able to record stuff on my DVR remotely thanks to this amazing AT&T Uverse ap for your phone. Thanks Uverse, U-lifesaver you!!! =D
Yeah - can anybody please post this on youtube for those of us that don't have ESPNU?
:D
How firm they friendship...
Wow, PierogyJim, great plug for Uverse....... very subtle, haha
It says it runs Tues threw Friday at 5. Will this be four different shows or just the same show repeated every night?
Doc, I'm assuming 4 different shows. I think the camera crew was there for a few days.
Fan of bacon since 1981
5 different shows - tuesday, wednesday, thursday, friday, and next wednesday! and yes - being able to dvr stuff remotely through at&t is AWESOME!
Thanks Nappy, I hope so. I've got the dvr set and reay to go. Sept1 can't get here soon enough.
GA, what time next Wed the 22nd? Still ESPN U?
Never mind! It is on espnU at 10:00pm next Wed for an hour.

Man oh man, SMH... 30 seconds into the preview & ESPN has already messed up. The have Reid Fragel listed as a senior DEFENSIVE lineman, lol. Go figure!
No blue shirts!
That was awesome, can't wait till tomorrow!!!
^^ Heh." Get that man a white Ohio State shirt."
Chris Carter looks like a man! Looks like Marotti put in work!
Was pretty cool, it's definitely night and day intensity wise comparing Meyer and Tressels coaching style. Love all the assistant coaches as well, they all are no non sense!

Does anyone know of a link to this. I was at the gym and missed it. Thanks.
looks like it will re air tonight at 10 on espnu
Thank you...
It was good. Put together & shot very well. Got me hyped - I'll be watching all week for sure.

I absa-smurphly enjoyed the first episode, have the rest of them recorded, cant wait to watch!
I'm so happy that someone confirmed that it will be on again tonight. Forgot to DVR it and I had to work. Sounds like it's intense. I'm stoked.
i'm rewatching this right now...holy...shit...these boys turned into huge HUGE effin men...wow.
chris carter and Braxton...are jacked
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
well..and of course...the bearded wonder, Simon...
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
Tom Herman is awesome. "Absosmurfly".
Can't wait to see these guys unleashed on the B1G
Was it me or did Guiton look very good in that segment?
Guiton did look good, and was surprisingly featured as much or more than Braxton. I think it might be partially because he seems to have a bit more extroverted personality than Brax, which makes for better footage, but he has been getting high praise from the coaches as well. It's nice to know that we aren't totally done for if Braxton gets hurt.
Watching this, makes me very excited for this upcoming football season.
Also Urban said he has packages where Braxton and Guiton will both be on the field at the same time. I am really interested in seeing that.
Seem like most of this segment was offense, hopefully tomorrow its defense i would like to get a look at all the bruisers we have on the d-line.
I also hope that they are limiting what they show with Braxton in all honesty.
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
Does anyone know who #10 was that Meyer was saying "make me want to coach you. Be the kind of player I want to coach"? Was it Shazier or C. Brown?
Brown
Dude had hair i believe..? lol
edit: now as i actually think about it i think he had a helmet on
"Winter is coming" - Urban Meyer
It was Brown
Easy way to tell: Red jerseys are offense, white are defense, black are quarterbacks, as far as I have seen.
by far was most impressed with coach herman. That dude just sounds like he knows x's and o's.
What a great find by meyer!
"We have always had the best damn band in the land, now we have the best damn team in the land"- Jim Tressel 1-03-03
I'm hoping this series makes some recruits want to jump in board. This is really good national exposure that you wont see on gamedays. Maybe this will get us our 2014 start.
Missed both shows, any one upload to youtube please?? Thanks.
Do you honestly think it was Shazier? Haha it was for sure Brown. Who wouldn't want to coach Shazier?
Brown. Shazier is a beast compared to Brown, pretty easy to tell the diff.
heres to hoping some generous Buckeye fan puts the episodes online
Okay guys, so I managed to get most of yesterday's episode up on Youtube. Unfortunately, my recording software botched the first segment, from the intro to the first commerical. I apologize for this lost footage, but hopefully someone else will capture it, and in better quality than my videos. Here is what I managed to capture:

IMPORTANT EDIT: I managed to recover the Segment 1 footage, and it's being uploaded to Youtube right now! I've attached a link to it, but the video will not finish uploading for another hour or hour and a half. Check back later!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AOTGJL10ISI <-- Still uploading!
thank you shaun!!! i went to turn on espnU in my hotel last night and all that showed was half of a green screen and the other half black..now i can catch up on what i missed!
"In the 4th quarter...you gotta go hard, hard, hard, really freakin' hard!"
Can't wait!!
You da man Shaun!!!
"Everyone will know once the first team offense comes out on the field. Is it gonna be September first? Whenever it is, something explosive is gonna happen. Get that in your minds right now: Something explosive is gonna happen."
Paraphrasing of course, but OH MY GOODNESS, I lost it when I ehard that.....
Strange. A coach working with QBs on footwork and the nuances of the position? Is that allowed?
I lost it at Mick's comment about flipping tables.
Also, I hope the series shows us plenty of Fickell-Vrabel bro-downs.
Shaun, you are a legend, really appreciate it.
from the looks of it, our boys are in for a season. Obviously want 12-0, but Id rather this team become an Urban Meyer football team by the end of the season, setting us up for 2013... lets go boys.
i was losing it when Marotti was talking about the juice! gotta have that juice!
Watched it - awesome.
QUESTION - PLEASE HELP: It's on again like every day this week...are there more episodes, or is it just this one 1/2 hour episode? The cable description said "NEW" for the listing each day, but it also said "Orignal Air Date: 8/14" for each listing. Or is there a new episode next week? I'm confused and definitely don't want to miss any if there are more to come.
THANKS!
edit: Never mind, saw above someone said there are 5 different shows. Yum!
LOL, do you know what "jacked" even means?
Vernon Gholston, Thad Gibson, John Simon. Those are guys that are jacked.

Awesome Shaun -- thanks! Are you going to able to do each episode? I was searching for this one the interwebs all night and couldn't find it posted anywhere. You're a lifesaver!
Does anyone know who Urbz yelled at to look at him at the end of practice? I replayed about 10 times, first I thought he said 'trainer', then I couldn't really make it out.
Herman seems like an interesting guy, he got the most airtime. Really looking forward to a VraBRO episode.
Help is on the way.
Yes really. Works actually quite slow and boring, so no, no I don't.
You questioned me about having nothing better to do, meanwhile you spend time looking for that stupid g.i.f. Speaking of which, you couldn't find a better one than that?

MAJOR PROPS TO SHAUN - TY TY TY
How firm they friendship...
@Killernut Unfortunately I am going to be pretty busy over the next few days, so hopefully someone else steps up and gets them recorded. Its really easy if you can watch on ESPN3 online. Just use some free video capture software and upload it to YouTube.
I will try, but there's a good chance I won't be able to get future ones until the replay this weekend if no one else does it.
SHAUN! YES! Thanks alot man!
I know there's a game saturday, and my ass will be there.
Urban was yelling at Kyle Dodson
New episode each day for those asking. Tuesday-Friday airing at 5pm and then replayed at 10pm each night. The 5th episode is apparently next Wednesday at 10pm.
@Shaun - I have an account for watchespn (the new espn3) -- but I don't see training days in it anywhere. I'm thinking because I don't have ESPNU in my cable package, it's not letting me view the replay online.
I'll keep searching the youtubes haa.
I set my DVR to record the series, but for some reason I only have the 1st episode recorded. I watched it already, and only one word can describe it - INTENSE! I love the intensity that Meyer and (to an even larger extent) Mickey Marotti have brought to the program. "Intensity" was everywhere in the 1st episode. Meyer preached about how he has an infallible plan, and how it's imperative that the players commit to it. He also spoke about +2 -- i.e., no matter that the coaches say, what drills they're doing, he wants his players to give him +2. What that means is, if they're asked to run 10 yards, he wants them running 12, etc. Marotti spoke about "juice". I think he was referring to a little bit of "swag" and having the "juice" to finish thru the 4th Quarter. I'm thrilled to have these guys. I think it was CB Bradley Roby during the 1st episode that captured it the best, saying something like, 'I was estatic when I found out Meyer was going to be our coach. The name that he brings, the rich tradition, the history of success & people he brings, etc."
The two parts that I found most interesting were:
There was a short clip where Meyer pulled over #10. I couldn't tell if it was Corey Brown or Ryan Shazier. Basically, Meyer said something along the lines of... you've been showing up late (or not on time), and you're not really doing anything that makes me want to coach you. Make me want to coach you. [Basically trying to get the kid to step up & be a leader. I think Meyer was thinking he might have been dogging it a bit and really wanted to lean on this kid for a leader for the team].
Meyer saw some guy at their camp [might have been a media guy] and he was wearing a blue shirt. Meyer [kinda] went off and was like "GET THIS GUY A WHITE BUCKEYE SHIRT! I [don't like / hate] that [color / blue]" Something like that. It was hilarious.
My favorite part is the intro. The music goes perfect with the snippets of video portraying the struggles of camp, Meyer's voice in the background, saying OSU is a hungry team. It gives me goosebumps everytime. Just pumps me up for the rest of the episode. freaking awesome.....
@crazy nut
You are right in that they don't replay it. You have to capture it live at either 5 or 10. They show what is on EspnU live, but don't offer replays.
"In the 4th quarter...you gotta go hard, hard, hard, really freakin' hard!"
OMG, we are going 13.2-0 this year.
Bucktoooooooth, heeyaw.
If you have Winstream for your internet provider, ESPNU is free.
yeah Urban was not talking to Shazier; you can tell just off of build alone.
Episode 3 was great! Got to see a little more actual practicing especially the offense. Things that stick out:
Devin Smith makes the series, he's a funny dude and brings some entertainment to the show
Boren straight trucked a dude during that drill!
Evan Specer is te next Tiger Woods apparently
fickell is a beast of a LB coach, love his intensity!
Chris Carter is hard not to like, pulling for the kid to be a great Nose Tackle
Meyer is one determined coach! The sleep when he's dead type.
Im disappointed with the lack of Simon footage
Hyde looks ready to run for a 1,000
Coach Herman is hilarious, I love all the movie references..can't believe non of them knew much about Ferris Bueller.

FYI...The first three episodes have been uploaded at the site tenyardtorrents.com as well. Great site to upload and download full games, whether it be college or pro football.
Oh hail yes! Today's is the best episode yet. Love to see that raw competitive spirit. Some guys getting angry in a good way out there in practice. Really lovely.
Where has Everett Withers been throughout the series? They've really focused on Vrabel, Meyer, and Fickell.
Damn, Spence and A-Wash are worth the hype! Glad to see Simon a lot in the 3rd episode.

keep hearing good things about sode 4, cant wait for it to be online
if you can watch it on TV, they are showing all 4 episodes back to back tonight between 10-12.
I keep watching that part with Meyer saying to "really try to stop" Carlos Hyde on a RB drill while the coaches have those shields. Coach Drayton got knocked on his ass and Meyer just laughs along with the others...I'm so glad I tivo'd this.
Not to mention this team looks leaps and bounds different than last year. More competitive and hungry to play...and to win.

I agree bhop, I am glad I kept all 4 shows. I was so amped after watching last night's practice. I kept thinking, how great it would have been to play for a staff that was so intense. Did any others on here have a staff similar to this when you played? Urban recruits very well, but he coaches even better.
I had a little pee pee in my underdrawers after watching the series. Could be excitement, could be a 41 year old prostate...likely both. Either way Go Bucks!
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
Jugdish: My coaches in HS had several play off runs under their belt by the time I was a senior. I'd say our two a days (which were each 3 hrs long) that lasted two weeks were "something" like this but nothing as intense as each OSU coach seems to be. My head coach and Asst. HC/Def. coordinator were the intense ones... Now my coaches in College don't even come close to Urban's staff...not even close to my HS coaches either. I personally believe Urban's staff will create a great atmosphere in the locker room and on the field. Their intensity as well as demand for perfection should make for some interesting seasons to come.

"I love football. I think it is most wonderful game in world and I despise to lose."

@Jugdish: I played under an extremely similar head coach and staff in hs. The way practices are organized and run (having the most difficult periods at the end of practice and quizing players on assignments after sprints in order to train us to think and perform when we are tired), the everyday competition, the "off-season" training schedule, the fast pace practice, all were normals at my hs and all look very similar to coach Meyer's practices. Several of my friends went on to play in college and have said that our practices in hs were more intense than their college ones. My hs staff has been very successful with multiple state titles and national recognition. Granted it was still hs, so I am sure there are parts that are more "intense" under Meyer.
Also, this is one reason why I think James Quick is a great fit for this team. I am biased because he comes from my hs alma mater, but he is being trained and coached in a similar fashion in hs as he could be under Meyer in college.
this series was awesome way better than the alabama and oklahoma ones. carlos hyde and rod smith looked like beasts and dunn had a nice run i saw as well. i loved simon showing spence little nuances of the game. isnt their also another hr lng episode airing the 21st i beleive?
O'Deez330
stark county football
@ODEEZ yeah, there is. 7 pm I think
Also, couldn't agree more about the RBs. They looked great in the limited blocking drills that were shown, but what really stood out to me was how hard Carlos Hyde was hitting the hole. I've always thought that he always seemed a bit lazy, and could've definitely worked to be more explosive, and it looks like he's found it. There's a quote from coach Drayton that basically mirrors this sentiment, but I can't seem to find it.
there are 4 episodes right? i can only find the first 3 on youtube :/
Yeah. I've been scouring the internetz looking for the fourth episode, but it is nowhere to be seen yet. If anyone has it, do a solid and post it!
You can kill a fly with your slipper or a cannon. Either way, the fly dies. -Ramzy
I haven't been this excited watching the RB's in fall camp since watching this!
I'll temper my excitement til the games start. The series was cool but every year every team says they've worked harder than ever before. I recall Stoney saying someone like that last year around this time.
I hope it carries through this time but I'll play the waiting game.
Buckeye06 you are exactly right! I hear it every year as well.

The kids gotta love that they are getting national attention given the bowl ban and all. I have to think that some of the kids Urb was recruiting that committed to other schools are having second thoughts when they watch this show. Has anyone spoken to any of our recruits or targets about what they think of the show?
Has anyone else noticed that UFM and a couple of his coaches need to learn how to clap like Ohioans after good plays? It was okay to clap vertically when he was at Florida..... please Urb, no more Gator Chomps.
im sure many of you saw this on sportcenter today, but for those who didnt, here is another short clip. its only 3 min but i LOVE the speech at the end.

Thoughts:
Noah Spence is going to be a beast.
Urbz is a walking quote machine:
"Spence will snap you in half."
"No blue shirts, go get him a white shirt."
"I wanna coach you today Noah!"
"I beat Tennesse with that play 23-20."
"It takes a little something special to be a great player. We don't have enough great players.TO HELL WITH THAT! We don't want to coach average! I don't wanna be around ya, why be around average? Did you push yourself to be GREAT today?"
I can't remember the exact words but when he was talking about something speacial happening when the first team offense takes the field on September 1st.
Coach Mick might be one of the most important pieces of this staff. These guys all looked in
very good shape.
Fickel seems much more relaxed this year (obviously).
Simon is a monster and I was happy to see him teaching Noah.
Hyde is going to be fun to watch.
This team seems more like a family, than the past few years.
Coach Koombs is awesome.
Devin Smith is definitely the comedian of the family.
I really liked seeing this. It seems to me that the defense is going to carry this team for the first few games. The offense is improved but has lots of work to do. Coach Herman said it himself "we were a 2 in the Spring and now we are a 4".
It's so hard to gauge the team when the offense is going up against what will probably be one of the best units in the country.
Next Saturday can't come soon enough.
Go Bucks!
Home someone will post the hour-long special. That was awesome stuff.
