He said he would be hated for his decision. I'm assuming since he lives in TX and says he will be hated that he won't be commiting to TX. We all know what assuming does tho.
I think he could be implying that Ohio State fans would hate him given their twitter stalking reputation. Either way, we'll find out whenever he decides - which could still be a while.
I'm not reading into it, kid's a joker. He won't be committing for at least a year, he's giving us the old Josh McNeil.
But also UT has crazy 2014 momentum right now
I'd honestly like to see McMillan commit first or close to being first. He has talked about being a recruiter for the team he chooses. He has been developing relationships with other recruits, so it would be nice to see him pull in Booker, Garrett, Barker, Snodgrass, Hand, etc. He had a huge convo on Twitter going one night about all of them playing together in college.
I'm curious what the staff thinks of this? Also what time is he supposedly going to announce?

Hated for joking around and riling everyone up. I heard he is a prankster with a fun personality... so this may be his version of fun.
My hope is that Knox wants to start the "dream team" reality, and thinks that someone needs to catalyze it.
Thing here is his friend just got an offer from Texas that he has said he wants to play with and he just came off a good visit to Texas few days ago I think.

@BJ His friend got the offer from Texas, which was speculated to be the reason Knox said t favor Texas. So his friend could get the offer, not necessarily so they could play together
I think Demetrius Knox is having fun with all of you......that being said his good friend who is the RB on his team and just got the Texas offer is something being talked about but I don't think it's that legit...basically he is saying he wants to go to school with him bad and schools that offer both have an edge...I think he's trying to get his buddy more offers faster and he knows if the school he wants to go to doesn't offer in the end it won't matter...OSU has told him they will not play that game and if the RB is deserving of an offer when they evaluate him this season and at game he'll get one---if he isn't deserving he won't....I think Knox knows he's not going to throw away great opportunities and is just using the media/twitter to help his friend out.....I think he is a Buckeye lean as of today
If he announces today that would be exciting but he has told Derek many times he may decide and keep it private until the all star games
I think he has made a decision to change a class for his Junior year. Has to call the guidance counceller to get the details figured out...

A 2014 commit in August of 2012 just means the kid has 18 months to change his mind 5 times.
He is serious I bet, but he nevers said anything about "committing." He has said "it" "big decission" but no mention of the word committ.

True, but having top committs committed early are great for a class to start to draw other top talent.
you'd rather have him committed to us early than not....that way you are the leader in the clubhouse.....

Obviously 2014 is going to be Urban's first huge class... Not saying that he hasn't done well in 2012 and 2013, but the 2014 he will have had time to build relationships with and catch up. After the Shane Morris article posted on 11W, I'm looking for OSU's next recruiter. I think McMillan is the guy to fill that role, but I'd take any early commits that are willing to persuade other recruits to OSU. From what everyone is saying, this dude is probably playing games with us. I don't take anything 100% for sure until I see a gray box.

If he commits today it's Texas. His buddy is tweeting they are going to the same school so that only possibility is Texas. Can't really call this a strikeout though, he is from Texas. Missing out in Byrne would be a strikeout

In-state OL aren't going to do it. Outside of Lisle and Byrne, it's pretty slim pickings for 2013 and 2014.
Just talked to Knox and he actually just tweeted it as well.
Not committing tonight. Something will happen soon though.

If it is TX, don't get too excited...it won't stick. We'll just compare OSU's season to TX at years end and then we'll have this convo...if he even does commit any where soon like he's saying. I've always said, don't get too excited about tweets till you see, I'm a Buckeye! #Buckeye Nation and all that good stuff...

I think we have a good shot at Demetrius but I also agree with others that he loves the attention. I really hope this isn't another Josh McNeil type saga. Really hope to see this kid in S&G in the end though!
One of two things will happen:
1) He committs to Texas in next couple days
2) He decides to wait till he can take more visits including Osu

Gresham committed to Texas...many think Knox will too now....word is that it was UT Knox was thinking about but it looks like there is a possibility he will wait it out till next spring...stay tuned
Hope he hasn't decided yet but I find it hard to believe he hasn't.

Texas had to be thinking that if they offer Gresham that Knox will follow him to Austin. No offense to Gresham, he may be a decent running back, but I can't find any rankings for the kid and his only offer I see was from Texas just a few days ago. Sure seems like they are banking on the package deal. So what happens if Knox doesn't commit to Texas? Do they pull Gresham's scholly?
I think Gresham is a decent prospect but the problem is he plays FB which doesnt fit our system too well/he would have to camp at OSU and Coaches would have to see Junior tape before they even considered offering him.

I wish someone would just tell the kid that you don't pick a college based on where your friends are going. You pick one that fits you and your needs. One of the top pieces of advice high school counselors give students.
^^^ wish I had a guidance counselor who cared a little more about her job and the students futures shewas supposed to be molding, going to college with friends can be a huge mistake! At least it was for me, but I still got those friends and it worked out in the end
I dont believe all this hype about Knox being all Texas. I find it to hard to believe someone like him being such a Buckeye fan & being a Buckeye at heart committing to Texas just like that easy. I believe he is just getting a shit ton of attention & was trying to get his friend exposed by top national teams that wanted to land Knox.
I bet Knox commits to OSU down the road. Hope Im right! lol.
