I know, I know...'Duh' right? I knew we had a pretty large fan base but "3.1 million, more than anyone else"?

Pretty cool info regarding Alumni around the nation/world too. And someone recently tried to tell me that companies outside of the midwest won't respect an OSU/B1G degree, all I could do was laugh.

I like reading Lesmerises stuff and all, but he might want to make sure the school colors are right.....scarlet and red?

There is a comma in the story that I think you overlooked. It is not 3.1 million more than anyone else, it is.

[T]he Buckeyes had 3.1 million fans, more than any other college football team in the country.

Here's the original article. I've addressed this many, many times here, but this is not to be taken as gospel. Their methods were extremely un-scientific--they mention as much in the article. For example, there is no way in Hell that Texas A&M has only ~200,000 less fans than UT. Truth is that they probably got the top ten mostly right, though there's no way of accurately estimating the quantity of fans for each team without conducting a massive (read: incredibly expensive) nationwide survey.
