I thought you football starved masses might want to know that BTN is having a Buckeye football extravaganza this Sunday, August 19th starting at 4:00p.m.. They are showing the 2009 Iowa game, followed by the 2006 #1 vs. #2 game against AACC, then the 2011 game against the Badgers. At 10:00p.m. the 2012 Buckeye football preview airs, and the evening is capped off with the Rose Bowl victory over the Oregon Ducks. Get the DVR cleared and set for over 6 hours worth of Buckeye beat downs.

sounds like about 10 hours of dvr time.
It's going to be epic. Get your chores done on Saturday, cause Sunday you're busy.
Question for you guys:
B1G has been doing this for the last week (and last month with the "school days") where they're doing the individual team preview and during that 24 hour period showing related content involving said school...
When a game is shown where OSU is on the losing end (i.e. the 2010 game @ Wisconsin game, which was on 2 days ago), do you watch it?
In the last month or so, I've seen the '05 The Game, '00 NW, '05 Minnesota, '09 Purdue game, and some others. All really good games, but it's like reliving heartbreak.
Are you guys also that "football hungry" that you watch OSU replays on games you know you lost?

I won't watch a loss. No reason to upset the ulcer for nothing. I also have a hard time watching recent victories with TP and Tress. To soon for me. I will watch the '06 AACC game no matter what, and I really like last years game against Wisky. I have the '06 game on DVD and will be reDVR'ing the Wisky game Sunday. I accidentally erased the original last winter:(
Who will be on the couch all night on Sunday? This gal
Hail,
I do not watch the games that we lose. Never
Watching losses is pointless to me. Why intentionally go threw the agony again. Watching a close victory is bad enough, and Tress had his fair share.
I watch bits and pieces of the games, regardless of the outcome. I think it's good to temper my enthusiasm, and to give myself some perspective. I usually see a horrible play and think "when I saw that the first time I threw my remote at the TV. That seems really stupid now." Helps me enjoy the good stuff more and spaz out less during the bad stuff.
The one thing I absolutely will not subject myself to is a standard def replay, other than our NC game. Every time I see one I can't believe I used to watch sports like that all the time.
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."
I can't watch a loss, its bad enough with the close wins. I ordered a dvd of the 2002 NC game, and found myself yelling at the TV still... "NICE HIT!!!", "What the hell?!? you gotta make that tackle." "Oh man, good run, thats the way to do it, keep it up and keep those feet moving!"
the GF though I was crazy "You do know this is just a video and you already know what happens..." I told her not to take the wind out of my sails.
Dubjay, that's what women are for.
Meh. Can't they show anything else? Those are the same games they always show when it's Ohio State's day. Where are the 2010 games against Miami, Arkansas, and Meatchicken? How about the 2004 game against Meatchicken. Variety isn't BTNs strong point. :/
"YOLO" = I'm about to do something extremely ignorant/stupid & I need an excuse to do it.
No loss watching. TOo tough on the brain & guts...

I have no problem watching the close losses that were good games. The Fiesta Bowl vs Texas comes to mind. Heartbreaking, yes, but a damn good game regardless.
It's the flat out embarassing losses that I'm not touching.
@buckeyevstheworld
Those 2010 games never happened ;) /S/
