We all speculate as to who will be a Buckeye next and who is a Buckeye lean, but do any of the 11W guys have info as to who the highest priority recruits are? Who is the #1, #2, #3, etc. players left that the staff wants? Can you guys give us any insight as to who is left that is tops on the staff's board? Thanks...

Edit: I will not argue for the sake of a flame war.
Urbz, only the recruits know who they are going to commit to and when they are going to commit. We have hundreds, probably thousands, of posts about that. Even with your edit, you still blew it. Sorry.
For info, I would just look at who they are talking about possibly committing. It's probably similar to a list of people the staff are going after. You'd have to think that Bell and Mitchell are at the top.
From what I have observed (Friday Night Lights) and talking to some people Donovan Munger is high on their board as well as Tyquan Lewis.
Obvious assumptions you can also make are Mike Mitchell and Vonn Bell.
Shelton Gibson too but they are being cautious.
I think James Quick and Chris Worley are up there as well.
with the class they have now, between 1-5 more available spots, and 7 months to NLOI Day..... I hope the OSU Coaching Staff's Big Board looks like this:
1. Michigan
2. depth chart
3. Michigan
4. O & D Playbook
5. Michigan
6. Miami Redhawks
7. NCAA compliance and How to stay off Police Blotter
@Derek... Thanks for the info... That response is the type I was looking for. Are we looking at an extra scholly with the transfer of Hayes? My personal big board looks like this, but I'm just a fan and I have full trust in the coaching staff:
1.) Bell
2.) Lewis
3.) Quick
4.) Gibson
5.) Mitchell (I think we are loaded at LB... 2014 class will bring a lot of talent too)
6.) Munger
@JOHNBLAIR - awesome, I hope you're right! Personally, I'm hoping for Mitchell, Quick, Bell, Lewis, Gibson, and Timmons.
Thanks Urbs! You must have agreed with me that people should be posting their opinions here, just as they do on "who is going to commit next" strings. I mean, if the only opinion on these forums was, "only the recruits know who they are going to commit to. That is all," then what is the point of the forum?
My point was that your first post, whether intentional or not, looks like it's telling the OP that his question doesn't matter; so yeah, you blew it. It's valid criticism; no need to get all, let's call it "cranky."
The original poster asked a question that cannot be answered, and that's what I said. So I answered it fully. I'm not going to argue with you because you misunderstood my post and the original post.
@ Buckeye_In_SEC
You say you have Mitchell sitting so low on your board because we are loaded @ LB & 2014 is loaded w/ possibly future Buckeyes but you have Lewis @ #2. Lewis will play the Viper position but Im guessing would play some LB also, the same position as Mitchell is LB.
I would take Mitchell over Lewis any day & it seems things w/ Mitchell are closer to being wrapped up, as he almost already committed to us at the Gridiron Kings in FL.
Also keep your eyes on the Daniel McMillan recruitment. Kid is committed to Florida, but is visiting OSU & Bama for sure this fall. Could be a hell of a LB that you dont say no to. Would pick him & Mitchell over Lewis.
#Buckeyes
Gibson seems to have a lot of talent but not sure what's holding the staff back. He was the first guy Urban talked about going after day one on the job at OSU. Not sure what happened besides how he's been acting on twitter and supposed grades. He seemed very fast at FNL but had trouble catching passes that seemed routine...we'll see but I like Quick and Allen better (not to mention Tony Stevons FSU commit who's supposed to visit OSU soon per Alex's twitter:-) http://t.co/pOPl98DF

I did not misunderstand either. I think Derek gave a great answer, and he is not a football coach.
It is called criticism. I was not being mean or unfair. In my opinion, your first post simply did not add to the content of the site, and I said so. Neither does removing your posts and calling it a flame war. I do not dislike you, and I enjoy some of your comments. If you think that something I post is flawed, then tell me so. All I understand from your post is that you do not like criticism, but the site will be better if you read it and think before getting upset and posting something.
@Bucknut8... I have Mitchell low because everything I have read on him says he is a raw talent, but not a particularly polished LB. From other things I have read the staff is recruiting him as a MLB and he probably won't see the field until his junior year. Don't get me wrong, I would like to have him in the 2013 class, but I think we are going to fine at LB after the 2012 class and hopefully McMillan, Garrett, and Booker in the 2014 class. I understand what Meyer and the staff are doing by building a dominating defense, but we are going to have to score some points too. Everything we have heard so far is the WR corps is awful, so I'd like to have a couple of high profile stud receivers in this class. Just an opinion.
my big board
1. Mike mitchell (stud lb/ freak athlete-lean)
2a.shelton gibson (playmakers-lean)
2b.james quick (playmakers)
4.tyquan lewis (love me some D line)
5.vonn bell (prob should be higher but idk how likely we are to get him)
6.donovan munger (versatility, O-line, Dline depth depending on circumstance)
7. Worley from glenville (i want another db and idk about bell)
