I really hope this series happens. Would love to see an SEC team like UGA come to Big Ten country for a game, and would love to see the Buckeyes play between the hedges.

"On another note, the canceled Georgia-Ohio State series may not be dead yet. The reason for canceling it had been that Ohio State didn't have room on its future schedules because of the planned scheduling agreement between the Pac-12 and Big Ten. But that was canceled last week. McGarity said he planned to place a call to Ohio State to renew talks. "I may call them on the way home," McGarity said."

fingers crossed for it to happen. One of the few SEC schools I routinely root for (except vs Big 10 in Bowl games). Would be a classic matchup. Night games- between the hedges and at the 'shoe.
Awesome, I would love for this series to go down.
I've been hoping for this since the PAC agreement fell though.
And they don't oversign do they?
Let's get Tennessee back on the schedule as well!

I'm from Georgia. Please dont ever root for them. They hate anybody thats not SEC and they talk some much garbage about Ohio State it makes me sick.
@JOHNBLAIR
How could you ever root for an SEC team over a B10 team. That is wrong, unless it is SCUM. Honestly I cheer for SCUM over any SEC team bc they talk so much shit about the B10 down here in SEC country.
Yeah - I think we'd all like to see this one! Like a lot of people here - I like Georgia more so than most other SEC schools & this would just be a great series for sure.

I root for UGA most of the time (my mother is an alum). I'd love to see this series happen.
@ remington - I live here in Georgia too, and there is NOTHING on this planet that would get me to root for Georgia (I will not even root for them over Michigan). The fans are overly obnoxious and think that just because Georgia is in the SEC they are better than every other school outside the SEC. I've had way too many OSU-UGA arguments it's insane. They haven't won jack in my lifetime, so I have no clue where the argument comes from.
I've always said...in order to say we can beat the SEC is to schedule them (and I don't mean Vandy either;-) I hope this gets agreed upon...would love to see it happen. Home and away series would be great for both schools.

@GABUCKEYE - It's not just UGA fans is all SEC fans. I live in Knoxville and UT hasn't been relevant most of the decade but they ride the shirttails of the conference. It's the same for each fanbase in the SEC.
I'd love to travel to see Ohio State in a non-conf game in SEC country.
Put Tennessee on the Schulz too... I'd love to see their Stadium.
I live in Georgia as well and it is not fun at all. I do see a good number of Buckeyes, but I always have to deal with the dumb $EC fans.
F--- Michigan!
@bigmoosie - I agree somewhat... but not all.. most south carolina fans I've met have know their place... some UT fans too... its just so hard to recruit to that hick town! But I'm definitely with you!
@ remington...
Georgia is the one SEC school I routinely root for (EXCEPT when VS BIG 10 in BOWL GAME)
Although I was hoping Hawaii would have given them an arse whooping a few years back.
I live in Georgia too there is absolutely nothing i would like to see more than Osu ghetto stomping the crap out of the dawgs all of their fans are sooo obnoxious!

I hope this game happens, helps strenghten our schedule and it's against an prominent SEC team.
...yes...h&h against Georgia under the lights would be an unbelievable atmosphere --- ala the 2005 Texas game

I like Georgia for one reason, Richt. Other than that, I've met a lot of Dawg fans and I don't care for them and they do seem to be a Fulmer Cup contender/front runner every year. I'd love to see them play and beat up on the bulldogs for 2 years.
Our fanbase labels every other fanbase as "the worst" "unbearable" "dumb" "ignorant". Every fanbase has idiots. When teams are good, they get cocky and come out of the woodwork. Our fanbase is no different. I've met plenty of insufferable OSU fans. Judging by the nature of some of the arguments on this site, we have a few in our midst every day. This is sports, and people are fanatical about their teams. It is always that way, in every sport, in every fanbase (to a certain extent). Those teams with longer histories of success and more recent success tend to have more condescending fans (Yankees, Patriots, PSU, OSU, Alabama, ND). The fastest way to shut up a talker? Beat their @ss, fair and square, on the field. Until we schedule them and do that, don't be surprised to hear from "the most obnoxious fan base EVER" from (insert school of the day).
Bring on the Bulldogs.

I live in ga. my self there are few dawg fans that can see that there is trends in CFB and the tides are about to change. Must of the SEC fan that i am around all day think the sec owns the title even though they are starting to be like the B1G, 2 Big teams and the rest is middle of the pack. Remeber 2006 tOSU and tsun was the best 2 teams in the land the then both schools got worked in there bowl games and the tide change for the SEC while it is time for it o change again. They do not see it I do cause I have to watch mostly sec football unless tOSU is on a prime time game or they are on the B1G network. I hate that crap.
It would be great to see this game being (re)scheduled! I would love to start getting some SEC games!! It would be great to get them in the 'Shoe and go see them at some of the SEC venues! Maybe this would be the spark that we need to get the people who make these decisions to listen to the fans!!
On another note, the only time I'd cheer for UGA is when they are playing the SEC elite (UF, LSU, AL, etc...). I consider UGA a tad lower on the scale when compared to the SEC elite teams.

OSUBIASED,
You stated "Our fanbase labels every other fanbase as "the worst" "unbearable" "dumb" "ignorant". Every fanbase has idiots."
While I now our fans can be obnoxious and ignorant, I don't see our fans throwing full beer cans and urine filled condoms/balloons at other fans! I witnessed this at PSU. I hate michigan and thier fans, but I would never act like that to another person. I do think we have a LOT to learn from other teams.
I went to the Texas game in the 'Shoe and say them get mistreated. I went down to Austin the next year and I'd have to say Texas has nicest fans I've ever met!! They treated us great!! I know everyone has bad fans, but we all have to do our own part. I'd love to play the SEC, whip there butts on the field and then give their fans a beer to humble them!! There's nothing wrong with a good debate and pride in your team but I'll kill them with kindness!!

^^^You can pick out different scenarios/situations for ANY fanbase. I'm sure a youtube search will show MANY instances of OSU fans, or any major fanbase in a negative manner(just as you will likely see positive instances as well). Deserved it or not, we most definetly do have a poor reputation nationally. Is that indicative of our fanbase in general? Of course not. But the fact that we have such a large fanbase makes our vocal, fringe minority more easy to associate with.
Well, I've actually been hit by a full beer can thrown by an OSU fan at a PSU fan that was walking near me, so we're not free of those types either. I've also had great experiences with a lot of other fanbases (Wisky, Minne, MSU, ND, and yes even UM). I agree that the best way to do some good natured ribbing after a win/loss is over a beer. If you act like an ahole, prepare to be treated like one in return. Most fans, if they see you're a just a guy rooting for his team, not obnoxiously, will not act that way towards you. Most, not all. Some people are just rude people.
My larger point was that everyone has jerk fans, no singular fan base is "the worst". The population of people we call "the worst" inhabits every fan base in CFB (and other sports), including ours.
We should remember that when Urban is in the middle of a 5 year NC run and treat other losing fans with respect.
