Eleven Warriors

This is my second rant about recruiting and this website, but it is much needed..

Please stop asking if there are any updates.  If there was one, it would be posted.  It's not like Alex/Dave/Derrick/Miles are sitting on info just for shits and giggles.  These sort of posts just take up space and are silly.  All the info that is known about each recruit is readily available.  If you are too lazy to look it up yourself, that is your fault.  New info is provided, but it is YOUR responsibility to look up past updates.

I have a TON of info and am just not telling you all :).....in all seriousness he doesn't really talk to the media...update we have from FNL is that OSU is his #1 per his mouth but not sure what that means in terms of the staff

- URBZ and BJ Mullens adequately filled in BUCKS4REAL before you felt the need to let him know how 'terrible of a buckeye fan he was by not having spent as much time reading 11w as you have'. I joke, you certainly didn't say that out loud,  but seriously, couldn't we have just left it alone there?

Look, I love this blog as well! We all do, that is why we keep coming back over and over again for our buckeye info. We search all over the internets trying to find any bit of info concerning our buckeyes, especially in the recruiting world. Many ask questions here because they don't subscribe to pay sites, but MOSTLY because the info posted here is every bit as accurate and is free.  To top it off, the message board members are usually very knowledgeable and help ( especially in my case, i cant check this site every 3o minutes to read all the posts) to fill in gaps of knowledge when it comes to recruiting. We all can't have Alex on speed dial. 11W or these message baords is the next best thing!

But do you know what I hate more than the randomly annoying fan asking a question that I already know the answer to?? It is seeing him/her get their head bit off for simply asking by other readers.

If you don't like that they havent read the site as much as you, then please simply ignore them or move on to pay sites. If you have the time to sit down and post a rant about how dumb they are that they havent figured out how to google info or see how the boards work, then why not take the time to simply relay the info they you have already learned. Why not post a link to the previous discussion if you feel the need to reply.

I'd rather see a lot more "ACTIVE' threads with little to no commenting under a topic already adequately discussed than to see new or novice readers getting their heads bit off as soon as they stick them out. Com'n! Most of us are on the same side here! Either help fellow buckeyes out or ignore them.

IMO, these boards have become increasing more hostile over the past year. Last I checked, 'don't be a jerk' was point #2 under the commenting policy, while 'asking a dumb question' didnt make the list. I have spent much less time in the forums recently because of the hostility. Cumulatively, that has led me to feel the need to speak out. I'm not blaming rampageripster, he just happened to be the one that put me over the top. I love what all you guys have to say, unless it is negative to another buckeye! Let's keep it positive and not act like those TSUN fans have over the last couple of years.

Now let the Toothbuck bashing begin!!!

The point of my rant was to nip a bad habit in the bud... asking for updates isn't magically going to make them appear.  If you missed something there are a TON of resources.  The quick bits here do a great job at gathering the main info from elsewhere on the web.  Head over to buckeyeplanet's recruiting forum.  Go to rivals/scout/247/espn.

Never said he was a terrible fan, not bashing him for not knowing where Gibson stands, not saying he should google everything... just saying that posting "any new updates?" really should be frowned upon.

Don't take offense. After you have been on this site a while you will understand that a select few of the commenters have this girly man thing going on. It's kind of like being in high school. If you don't belong to the clique, you will be chastised. I say ask away, dude.

To touch on what Nappy said, I think it SEEMS like the forums are suffering because we all want the football season to start in a big bad way.  We're all suffering from withdrawal.  It's just about August, it's almost here.  Practice is starting, I know I'm getting antsy.  I enjoy this site thoroughly, regardless in the off season lull.

I only looked at this heading in the forums, so what does that make me. Listen guys, ease up. He seems like a loyal buckeye  so let him ask. Just skip over the post or go to that school up north's forum to bitch about buckeye fans.

I think everyone just really misses football as previously stated. The offseason leads to the same questions being asked and discussed, it's just the nature of the beast. We all just need to show respect for one another no matter what your stance on a topic. I miss football...anybody own a delorean so we can speed this process up.

I think 11warriors should host a boxing night at NYOH's (only place I can think of where theres enough space) where members on this site can come and solve every personal debate they have ever had... fundraiser, $5 entry, go to town and leave the petty stuff out of the forums

Wait, who's this recruit named Staff Gibson? I haven't heard of him. Is he in the 2013 class? he sure is getting a lot of comments here though. I'll have to google him and see what all the hype's about.
