I have a question regarding some college football etiquette. My wife and I are going to the Navy-Notre Dame game this year. Unfortunately it will be the only college game I get to see in person this year (only one more year until the drought ends!), fortunately it's in Dublin, Ireland. As I really don't care about either team I was thinking about rocking out one of my Ohio State jerseys but thought it might be a little bit tacky. Thoughts?

When was the last time either ND or Navy beat Ohio State in football? ND last won in 1936 and Navy has never beat OSU. Any ND fan that could legitimately talk crap to you is old as dirt by now.

Wore OSU gear to the ND v. USC game last year. Only received mild abuse. First game I ever saw at ND. Great time.
Any sporting event I go to, I wear OSU attire. I'm a fan of other teams but I am only passionate about OSU. Wear it!

I am a Buckeye, so personally I would wear the scarlet and gray. But IF I was having reservations, I might support the US Navy team.

Oh believe me, if I have to pick one of the two teams to support without a doubt it would be Navy, if only because it's a service academy and my brother-in-law was in the Navy. But I think everyone's arguments have convinced me to rock out an OSU jersey, not that I needed that much convincing.

And honestly since it is in another country there will be fewer real ND fans that might give you crap, so much easier decision than if you were going to South Bend.
Do everything in your power to avoid wearing Notre Dame attire :)
And by all means rock the OSU gear! But don't be surprised to hear from more than a few people (mostly Domers) who will needle you or give you crap for being a Buckeye, or for the JT/tats & memorabilia scandal, or for Urban being the new coach, or NCAA troubles, or our 6-7 season last year.
Then just silently think to yourself about Notre Dame's inability to make it to a BCS bowl, despite being tabbed by the media as pre-season favorites to make it the BCS.

I would bet the Under, for 3 reasons:
1.) The weather over there will make the field "slower".
2.) It's the first game of the season, so the Offenses won't be gelled yet. Advantage: Defense.
3.) Navy's Triple Option. Even it's not working to full capacity, this attack is designed to eat the clock & keep the opposing team's Offense off of the field.
