Makes sense. At this point, getting playmakers is probably the biggest concern. Forget the set positions, get guys who can get the ball and make plays. Smoke is that type of player...
Though it would be niceto get some size at WR like a Treadwell or someone else to match the smaller guys like Marshal and potentiall Smoke.
The only way we have a chance at Somke, IMO, is if he visits here before he decides. So far it seems like he's UVA's to lose. It's unfortunate cause he would absolutely thrive in Meyer's offense. I like him better than Green.
I think that when all is said and done (like in the next four years) Darron Lee is a wideout. The kid is just too dynamic, and if we get Vonn Bell, combined with guys like De'van Bogard and Najee Murray (who can hit) we will have enough safety depth to move a guy like Bell to O.
Supposedly down to three (OSU and ND not in it). WVA, UVA and Clemson.

everytime i've been to morgantown, i've had an absolute blast. If you've been to a football game there also, it's a hell of an atmosphere. True story: went there couple of years ago and was having a dandy of a time at a place called Lazy Lizard, Steve Slaton was walking around the place in a red sweater and a cowboy hat, cool dude. I went downstairs to the clubbish area and no joke Pat White was getting a ::earmuffs:: blowie from some random white broad. Crazy night.
edit: while none of this has anything to do with football, it definitely feeds into the atmosphere. so i can definitely see the attraction to the area/town/school
Sounds like fun if you're a football player there ;-)

I love all those things. Having said that, their away schedule is also a monster. @Texas and @Texas Tech in back to back weeks? No more easy commutes to Pitt, Temple, and Rutgers. I guess WVU being in the BIG12 now is a major selling point though. Home game against Oklamoma? That's a sexy matchup.
Damn Smokey
vacuuming sucks
Hope he makes it to FNL or we won't have a chance IMO
Do we need this kid? I see more pressing needs elsewhere
Nicholas l Ernst
Do we need the best running back in VA this side of Derrick Green? Another offensive playmaker in this class is a need area IMHO.
vacuuming sucks
I dont think we NEED him. But it would be nice
certainly wouldnt hurt..like maestro said dudes a playmaker..and we could always use another one of those.
Well i like college and i like football...and im gunna keep doin em both cause they make me feel good!!!
Isn't Mizzell similar to Elliot whereas Green is more of a 'power' back?
correct tennbuck....... what was green's laser 40 time at the opening???
Hardly home but always reppin
Given the power backs we already have, I'm inclined to get a second speed back
A note: I've heard rumors from within about staff considering Mizzell as a slot receiver. I tihnk Alex heard the same.

^ that would make sense..could see some of the same from elliot after what he showed at the opening

Looks like ND along with us didn't make his top three per Rivals.

I meant Lee to O.

What is the appeal of WVU, besides how many mountains you must traverse to get there?
playstation offense
When told OSU set school record for 50+ games this year, UFM said "That's good. We're gonna break that next year."

Calling a recruit "smoke" already? Why do I see a looming marijuana charge in the future?
