They should be sanctioned by the NCAA. Penn St received a competitive advantage by NOT DISCLOSING the charges. If they disclosed the charges in 2001 or so...Joe Pa would have been gone....it would have hurt recruiting. Since they hid the facts....every year that they didn't report the facts they retained a competitive advantage.
I'm just surprised he didn't work anything about Tebow into that tweet.

He absolutley tatoos Bayless. I don't have Youtube access here at work so I can't find the link. It was linked on the site a while back and he goes on to talk circles around Bayless about basketball strategy. I actually applaud Cuban for knowing a lot more about X's and O's hoops than a team owner really should have to. He (an owner) probably shouldn't know more than an 'analyst' that gets paid 7 figures to talk about the sport but its clear in the video Cuban is vastly superior in Bucketology.

He thinks NCAA only cares about competitive advantage - WRONG!
He thinks this whole coverup wasn't a competitive advantage for Penn State - WRONG! - it is an intangible, possibly indirect advantage (compared to OSU playing ineligible players - that is a direct advantage), but with the impacts on recruiting, perception, and Joe Pa being fired - PSU football would've been worse off at least temporarily if they had come clean earlier. It was an advantage.
He thinks OSU tried to recruit kids by telling them that they could sell their stuff for money - WRONG! - *sigh*...what proof does he have of this? Why would that necessarily be an advantage? I'd want to keep my shit - I wouldn't want to sell it off. I imagine many kids feel the same. If I wanted to sell my shit, why couldn't I do that at PSU or Michigan or Alabama or anywhere else?

@ show - you are assuming that Paterno would have been fired had this been handled properly from the beginning...ie turning in Sandusky immediately, thus no cover-up. While the pristine image of PSU would have suffered, there would be no reason at all to get rid of Paterno. What would he have been guilty of?

When First Take was changed into the Loudmouth vs. Skip Bayless show, I stopped watching. The First and Ten desk used to be fun, because it was limited and that limitation allowed for a large variety of topics. Now, it's all Lebron, Tebow, Bellicheck, and Yankees...almost none of which has anything to do with the actual sports that are played.
The fact is, trying to preserve the reputation of the football program WAS a COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE. They were able to recruit athletes based on the fact that if you ever get into trouble while at PSU you can be sure that it will never make headlines. We now know that is the "Penn State Way" that they talk about. Everything is handled internally and is very hush-hush if it pertains to football. As a football player, you will receive special treatment because Joe Paterno will do everything in his power to make sure you play football and will never get suspended.
Joe Paterno was able to use his fake "holier than thou" aura to attract talent, and convince parents that Penn State was the best place for their child. They won B1G titles in 2005 and 2008, and were on pace to win the B1G last year before all this sh*t hit the fan.
To say that Penn State did not retain a competitive advantage by keeping the Sandusky affair under wraps is dead f*ck ludicrous.
He took it one step further and lied... go figure. He said that OSU promised recruits during recruiting they would be hooked up by selling memoribilia. That is no where in any documentation and is a flat out lie...
