please include one offensive lineman....
1. Mike Mitchell
2. Ethan Finley (only if Munger has not silently committed to the staff already, which would put him before Mitchell)
3. Jimmy Byrne (2014)
To the poster above me, I assume that like me, the OP thinks Munger will play OL.
1. No one.
What about Tyquan Lewis?? I thought he said he will be commiting before sept.
Hardly home but always reppin
1. Mike Mitchell
Please make that a case of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale, thank you.

Optimistic - Now that predicition is not very...optimistic, now is it?
Mike Mitchell.
The 2012 National Champions.
1. Mike Mitchell
2. Tyquan Lewis
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
Related: USC just nabbed Ramsey, top player in Tennessee...and their class just keeps getting more and more disgusting... I hope we get Mitchell, be even better if its before the season starts...
only one of green or timmons will be taken, but not until signing day. the only commit i see before season starts, might be mitchell, perhaps lewis.
Mitchell, and that's it... everyone else is a fall or later... and I think we're done with the OLine unless there is a fall bloomer
Cause I couldn't go for three
15. Mitchell
16. Finley
17. Lewis
i think Mitchell will be at gridiron kings, Finley at FNL (hoping he makes it), and Lewis shorty after
I'm not 21, I'll take a 6 pack of IBC creme soda instead
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
1.) Mike Mitchell
2.) Donovan Munger
3.) Tyquan Lewis
Mike Mitchell
I'm not 21 either so I want a 12 pack of Mountain Dew
For the Beer:
15. Mike Mitchell
1. McMillan (2014)
Mike Mitchell and Levonte Whitfield.
Im not 21 but I'll take a case of natty
Muck Fichigan
UncleBuck has it nailed if you ask me.
Derek IDK if you can answer this but isnt mike mitchell getting recruited to play the VIPER instead of the traditional OLB just like Tyquin Lewis?
Seems to be a lot of Munger chatter today. Has there been some development there?
Before the season starts:
(15) Mike Mitchell
(16) Donovan Munger
(17) Tyquan Lewis
Before Signing Day:
(18) Lavonte Whitfield
(19) Robert Foster
On Signing Day:
(20) Von Bell
(21) Derrick Green
Do we really need Mitchell and Lewis both after the class of LBs we got last year and hopefully the class we bring in 2014? I'd rather see us bring in a few more WRs for Miller to get the ball to. Read an article from the bleacher report talking about how Robinson needed speed, efficient receivers to get the ball to. Miller needs the same thing. I know Thomas had a good spring game, but it's going to take a successful season for me to be sold. I'd like to see:
Whitfield
Gibson
Quick
Bell
An OL
And if we have to take a LB, I'd take Lewis because he can play a hybrid position.
These are all my opinions. I know defense wins titles, but I'd also like to put up 40 a game too.
1. Munger
2. Mitchell
3. Lewis
Nicholas l Ernst
Anyone else besides Tennbuck get a kick out of optimistic buckeye saying "no one" will be taken from now until 9/1? It struck me funny with a hint of irony....but that may just be my weird sense of humor.
I see one to two more after FNL for 2013 with a possibility of a couple 2014 kids and not R.McMillian. Who for 2013 would be IMO of course, Mitchell and Whitfield seem to be the most logical at this point. But who really knows...may be Optimistic could be right.

Considering our needs on offense (WR and OL) as well as the deep LB class in '14, can we really take Mitchell AND Lewis? If we take both, does that take us out of the Vonn Bell sweepstakes?
If we only have 6 more spots, this is what I hope it turns out to be:
15. Mike Mitchell, LB
16. Dennis Finley, OT
17. Vonn Bell, S
18. Robert Foster, WR
19. Levonte Whitfield/ Devon Allen, WR
20. Donovan Munger, OG
With that said, I think Tyquan Lewis is going to be a stud and would love him in Scarlet & Gray.
Go Bucks!
The 2012 National Champions.
Mitchell
Lewis
Munger
and Shiner Bock for the prize
"rural" meyer...made me lol
ummm
1. Mike Mitchell
2. Mikey Mitchell
^^if i win i get 2 cases of beer..1 for football and 1 for basketball
check please!
People need to get Whitfield off their short list... there is zero evidence he is even a major OSU lean, let alone a possible new commit before Sept... also, Whitfireld and Gibson won't both be taken... Lewis plays a different position than Mitchell, but will probably still be told to wait if Mitchell commits at FNL/Gridiron Kings
The Munger humbub comes from a rumor that he is a silent verbal, which makes ZERO sense to me, but wtv. The staff doesn't really want a gaurd and his versatility on the DLine is pretty much moot with the addition of Hill... so I think Munger will be told to wait too.
The priorities for the staff are (imo) in order: Mitchell, Bell, and two WR (really any of them). After that it is just icing to them. So I expect a harrd push at both Mitchell and Bell before the season. Will work on Mitchell, but maybe not on Bell. Allen is coming for FNL (I believe) and could be a quick trigger, but the other wideouts are taking their time (Foster, Whitfield, Quick) or are waiting to get their grades up (Gibson).
SO, that is why I think it will be just Mitchell. Lewis and/or Munger may try (or in the case of Munger have tried already) to commit but will be told to wait. In the end, one of the two will be in the class at least.
Cause I couldn't go for three
I highly doubt they tell Lewis to wait even if Mitchell commits. They are being recruited to different positions, both of which Urban wants. And no it won't take us out of the Bell sweepstakes. With 6 spots left we could use 3 on defense (Mitchell, Lewis, Bell) then have room for either 3 WR or 2 and an OL
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Does Timmons have an offer? I would love for us to get him. Great, great lateral movement at speed.
Rural Meyer..
Tyquan Lewis is the Viper, with Mitchell more of the traditional inside linebacker.
@Triv... in the end they will take his commitment, but we'll take your 6 spot situation. They want Bell and Mitchell, so that's 4 left. What if we land Gibson and Foster and an OLineman out of the radar right now. There is one more spot and the staff has Quick and Green calling them asking if they can commit... Do you turn both them down for Lewis? This is why I think he'll be asked to wait until at least the fall starts so the staff can get a clearer picture (with FNL/Gridiron Kings commits)
Cause I couldn't go for three
Gibson can't commit till his grades are in order so that will be at least the end of the fall before he is even capable of committing. I just can't see them turning down Lewis given its a position with very little proven depth
Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite
Just a thought, but in a couple of years we could have 2 LB's that run 4.3 in the 40, with Mitchell, and Boom Perkins.
I do see the staff taking commitments from both Lewis and Mitchell. Reason being the staff took both Anazalone and Neal's commitments and both those players are the same positions as Mitchel and Lewis. That being said I think Mitchel clearly has the athletism to play the viper position so if he commits maybe the staff tries to get Lewis to wait at least until some of the skill positions come into clearer focus. But as I said I don't think the staff would take both.
If they do that's 16 with 4ish spots left and I think one will be held for Vonn Bell and the remaining three will be some combo of skill positions. I don't see another offensive lineman in this class as of right now, that could change if a guy like finley pulls the trigger or Dorian Johnson if Penn State gets hammered.
I don't know but "Rural Meyer" is a good one.
Before signing day? Well, for the sake of being different, I'm gonna say Mitchell, Derrick Green and Devon Allen. Hopefully we get some 2014's at FNL too.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
taquan mizzell is committing aug 21 per his twitter. hopefully to ohio state
It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog
Im kind of disappointed everyone doesnt know what 9/1 is..... Thats the first game of the season. But after everything i've seen on twitter I should have added Tyqun Lewis first in heinsight, i'm still hoping we get Eddie George Jr (derrick green) and I think after Mizzell commits elsewhere he will start showing his OSU roots.
I was also thinking of changing my name to Rural Weinner (meyer hotdogs)
Yes, we knew what was happening on September 1st (or at least I have it on my calendar) I think that everybody got to caught up in answering the question to really acknowledge it.
Since you had him on your list, does Timmons have an offer or an impending offer?
And Rural Meyer is a damn good name, I hope that you stick with it.
Taquan Mizzell isn't coming to Ohio State.
And I'm cool with that
Nicholas l Ernst
I've been out of the loop for a while . . . But what are we hearing about Von Bell?
Does Timmons have an offer?
Does anyone else miss FakeKyleKalis on twitter? It is the only twitter thing that I have ever read. And even though it's making fun of a child, its funny. Can he (or she) come back?
We all lost! Taivon Jacobs!
I don't have any subscriptions to any of the pay sites but it seems that inside recruiting info has dried up a bit under Urban's regime.
