Are there any players on PSU roster we'd accept a transfer from that could help for the next couple of years? If said player did want to transfer to OSU where would that scholoarship count against '12 or '13?

Sounds like accepting PSU transfers would count against '13, although it's still under consideration.

Thanks! Oh well, so much for that idea ... Lol
I don't see any player transferring to Ohio State because of the bowl ban this year. The whole not playing for a "rival" won't come in play - Justin Boren did transfer from TSUN to THE Ohio State University.
Ohio State could take a senior to take Storm Klein's spot this year.
@J.MO ... I was thinking more of the 2nd, and 3rd year players, not the seniors.
I can't see the NCAA lifting their sanctions against Ohio State to accept these players. I imagine they would make an exception for Ohio State as part of their punishment?
They were saying on BTN that if the players transfer, it wont count against that schools scholarship number for that year. So it sound like they will all be "free players"...
Maybe an Junior OT?
Gerald Hodges would be a good get.
Storm Klein and Brian Bobek's spots are both open.
They definitely wouldn't go after any seniors. OSU can't go to a bowl game anyway, so getting underclassmen reps is more important than going all out for an undefeated season in my opinion.
So, with glaring holes in a couple areas, what about reaching out to the following?
Angelo Mangiro (OL - 2011)
Donovan Smith (OL - 2011)
Anthony Zettel (OL - 2011)
Mike Hull (MLB - 2010)
Miles Dieffenbach (OL - 2010)
Khairi Fortt (OLB - 2010)
We should definitely go after McGloin
....
"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again," said Meyer. "Do it a little harder next time."
I posted this in another thread, but I think we'll look at guys like Bill Belton, Donovan Smith, Khairi Fortt and perhaps Silas Redd.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Id take Silas Redd in a heart beat, but i dont think we need RBs...even though he is an absolute stud
Something that needs to be said I think...A lot of attention is now on other Big 10 schools coming in and poaching PSU players...I almost find it difficult to think that PSU players would transfer to any school that plays Penn State, especially those that play at Penn State...Id look for schools outside the Big 10 to benefit most, namely those in the Big East and ACC
Maryland, Rutgers, Pitt, and possibly Temple will benefit the most IMO. Notre Dame could be another one.
