He said at The Opening he had wanted to announce his commitment at Gridiron Kings. There was never a 100% chance of that happening, though.

Is that just opinion, or did you see that somewhere? Since he seemed set to make a decision and has made strong comments about OSU, I assumed he was set to come here, but he wanted to make sure his parents were on board first. If he's got good ones, they're playing devil's advocate to make sure he's serious about coming. Just my line of thought.
I was on a 247 site and there is a lot of talk, mostly from A+M guys that, rumors are he is leaning toward A+M and that they lead for his services now. It is the only school of the three he's visited. I know how rumors go and they are a lot like opinions. We will see how it plays out.
I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.
Between our own recruiting guys repeatedly saying things still look very positive for us & the fact that his brother is an unreal B-ball player who would have a better chance of winning at OSU versus the other schools on Mikes list (they would like to attend the same school) I like the chances.

Not announcing this weekend now due to the fact that he hasn't been able to visit OSU yet according to someone from espn who interviewed him at Girdiron Kings. Gotta think once he visits we might lock it up finally.

Like BJ Mullens said, he's delayed his announcement because he hasn't been to OSU yet. I'd have to guess his parents said he couldn't commit to a school he hasn't seen, so barring an absolutely terrible visit I think it ends in our favor.

Yeah, he didn't mention visiting Florida State in an interview, only Ohio State. So you have to think we are front runners for Mitchell. Mike was ready to announce it, but it looks like the parents and/or Mike want to see Ohio State before they actually give the nod.
really like his parents doing that, even if he wanted to pick OSU, they all need to make sure its the right place for him and I think him visiting will seal the deal

I am glad he post-poned. him getting on campus before making a decision is a respectable action, and a very well-thought-out one.
The fact he talked like his brother could very well play bball at the same school is great. OSU is one of the few places both sports are A1.
exactly, and im sure his parents will love seeing the campus, I think we do a great job of showing off not just the athletic facilities but the academic and campus life side of things as well, getting him to Columbus is only a major plus, and could also do wonders for the recruitment of his little brother
I agree with you Dubjay: I thought it was cool but a bit crazy that Baugh committed without even visiting. I realize he lives in Cali but still to commit without seeing campus was a bit of a surprise. I'm sure after the visit, Mike and his family will be more than happy with OSU.
To Crimson above: At the time, it was mentioned on Twitter that he'd "possibly" be announcing on Sunday. As we know now, it will be postponed for a visit...which I think is very understanding. It should be a done deal after that...I hope.

OSU probably has the best combo. of the two major sports going right now, with Football & Basketball.
Michigan State, Wisconsin, Florida, Michigan & Texas are solid...but OSU's 2 majors combined are at the top
