I'll try to post more as I find them, excluding the interviews that gene supplied, but here's the film from the WR-DB 1 on 1s from yesterday. Each of our WR/Dbs are shown once: Thompson and Woodard lock down their man, Marshall makes a nice cut route catch, and Burrows gets beat badly by Alvin Bailey, who I hear has been beating everyone.

Heres OL-DL, but none of our recruits at these positions are at the camp

Thanks for this. Burrows got beat on the second move, but he did make a decent recovery. Too bad Marcus Baugh wasn't on there
I would've liked to see Burrows on someone else. Bailey is the guy you match your absolute fastest guy against. He won't outmuscle you, but he'll outrun you, and that's equally dangerous in some formations. Burrows isn't the guy that would cover a Bailey if he ends up a CB, he'd cover the bigger possession guys and make it a physical matchup.
Both Thompson and Woodard looked extremely physical in their reps. But FYI I think Thompson actually had a second rep in there.
really? Must have missed it
OSU recruit Billy Price-DL ...Didn't make the trip, but is said to have been working out with some impressive people to get better hand development skills......Would of loved seeing him going against the rest of the fellows... Wishing the best for all our OSU boys out there....And hope none of those kids get injured ! Cannot wait for FOOTBALL SEASON TO GET HERE !
What I noticed...
- Alvin Bailey is a STUD. Keid has some serious wheels.
- our DBs (Woodard and Thompson) were by FAR the most physical DBs. Not sure if that's a food thing or a bad thing. Bad in that they probably both committed penalties on their turns, but good in that they have a chip on their shoulder and are going to play physical.
- The WRs were MUCH bigger than the DBs.
- WRs won almost every single matchup.
- Ricky Seals-Jones looks liked MONSTERout there (size wise).
More observations:
- Jourdan Lewis (UM) got beat a lot by bigger receivers.
- Marcus Baugh looked really good, and got recognized by a lot of ESPN and 247 analysts
- Ezekiel Elliot almost made a ridiculous catch in the endzone. (he was out of bounds). Footage on youtube.
- OJ Howard is amazing.
Zeke's catch
I think Zeke is becoming my favorite recruit in this class. Always reppin that OSU hat.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
He'll be a high for star by August, on 247 and ESPN, mark my words. Shurburtt called him "elite"
He's even better than his film....
He's always smiling too. It's gotta be infectious with everyone around him
I'm not as worried about Cam getting beat because he was playing off, and actually playing off man coverage in 1 on 1's is almost impossible, if you look almost every DB that played off was beaten, even the 1's covering the TE, what I did like is Cam showed some SERIOUS recovery speed because he was beaten badly, I like that. Should Cam remain at CB, I don't see him playing off much, he'll be a lockdown in your face CB, those are the ones I love by the way. This defense starting really this year isn't going to be fair, and in coming years it only going to get even more un-fairer (that word isn't recognized by Webster's either) ... Lol ...
Looking at the video, if I didn't know any better I would've thought Zeke was a WR, I think this dude is going to be AWESOME ....
1 on 1 drills are almost impossilbe for DB's. Too much field to cover, no help, can't play short and long routes at teh same time. Burrows clearly hs some wheels after he recovered.
VAPOR TALON vs SUPER BAD
- QB Cooper Batteman demonstrated some nice wheels, running down an LB after he threw a pick. He easily tracked down the LB TWICE (once on the INT, and then a second time after getting juked the first time)
- Was not impressed with the mechanics/way QB Brice Ramsey threw the ball, but he lead a nice methodical drive down the field and didn't have a single incompletion (until the extra point).
- If you have any worries about ATH Jalen Marshall catching any passes, don't be. He caught a few nice ones right across the middle and in plenty of traffic.
- RB Ezekiel Elliott demonstrated some nice shifty moves. There was one specific play where he caught the ball out in some open space (the flat) and put a nice juke move on the defender to pick up an extra five yards.
- RB Derrick Green is a LOAD! Dude looked like a linebacker out the replaying RB.
- S Delano Hill was VERY impressive in the secondary. Made a number of pass-breakup plays.
- RB Ezekiel Elliot made a helluva snag, but unfortunately the ball was thrown too far & out of the end zone, so Elliot wasn't able to drag the foot. He was pretty damn close to getting two feet in tho.
- CB Jeryl Brazil had a couple nice pass breakups. I believe he's also the kid that ran the fastest 40 yrd dash time too.
- Wasn't really impressed with either of the QBs - Batteman and Ramsey. Both held onto the football too long and both severely under-threw the majority of their passes.
- RB Ezekiel Elliot again demonstrating some nice hands. He's going to fit that Percy Harvin / Chris Rainey role just fine.
- ATH Jalen Marshall with ANOTHER nice catch over the middle. He's now been targeted 3x, and 1 of those targets was significantly overthrown. Marshall is going to be fine at WR. He certainly demonstrated he has the hands for it, so don't worry about that.
- The two most impressive guys that stood out by far (to me) in the Vapor Talon vs Super Bad game were easily S Delano Hill (just an absolute ball hawk) and CB Jeryl Brazil (even had a TD on offense; kid is just insanely fast).
FIELD GENERALS vs ALPHA TALON
- QB Max Browne demonstrating very nice arm strength.
- QB Tyrone Swoopes really reminded me of Vince Young - very lax throws, kinda nonchalant, nothing special or eye-popping when you see him throw, but VERY comfortable and confident.
- QB Brown not making very good decisions. Just kinda winging it out there all over the place.
- S Marcell Harris with his SECOND INT. Dude is a Mack truck back there playing safety, and here has already demonstrated the ability to ball-hawk it. VERY impressed so far w this kid.
- RB Ryan Green looking very impressive. Already been targeted a couple times. Not sure if it's because of his energy (playing hard), his talent (his speed to get open), or Brown's tendency to check down (a lot).
- S Marcell Harris AGAIN breaking up a play.
- Wow. QB Swoopes with his THIRD pick, but lucky for him, they blew the whistle due to not releasing the ball in the 4 second allotment. Kid just doesn't know how to make a read just yet.
- QB Brown throws some BULLETS. Definitely has a VERY nice arm.
