Perhaps its just me, but does anyone kind of find it odd that the number one prospect in Ohio (Dante Booker) is not going to FNL or didn't even camp/visit this summer? He seems like a very good prospect and the (hopeful) combination of him, McMillan, and Garrett would be insane. I remember back a few years when we lost Hicks to Texas and Depriest to Bama. Both were excellent linebacker prospects from Ohio which we were in the running for but couldn't seal the deal. I trust UFM knows what he is doing and that he will not allow the top prospect in Ohio to leave the borders without a fight, but with us expanding our recruiting presence nationwide it is crucial to not ignore the home state and let Ohio's best go elsewhere. Does anyone, maybe Alex, Gene, Derrick, Miles, or anyone know what is up with Dante Booker?

Think he went to spring game, not a big talker so he could be going to FNL and we just don't know, I think Derek, Alex, and Miles probably feel best about booker than most 2014 prospects
Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens
He was just tweeting back in forth pro-tOSU banter today with Knox, he also talks alot to Rakewon (sp?). It does suck we got a lot of linebackers poached recently but all signs still point to Dante leaning towards the scarlet and grey
I think he's about the most solid to OSU that we have so far in the 2014 class. He's 2 hours outside of Cbus, but I assure you, the OSU dream exists as much here as it does in the heart of campus. He's another kid who didn't just grow up a fan of OSU like Knox, he's immersed in the legend and I think he truly wants to be on board.
I RARELY say this... Booker is a lock
Cause I couldn't go for three
I hope your right.
Love the kid's highlights. Looks like a gamer and a heck of an athlete.
I like Buck I.8's use of the word "solid" to OSU, as opposed to him being a "lock", because we all know at this point that nothing is guaranteed in the world of recruiting.
Buckinbama... I hate the word lock too... I think I've used it to describe maybe three players in my time following recruiting (Woodward, the youngest Boren, and Braxton)... That being said I am completely convinced that Booker will be a Buckeye
Cause I couldn't go for three
When I lost talked to him (which was actually in May: He doesn't like to speak or do interviews much) I think OSU was in very very good shape. Wouldn't call a lock but I think OSU had to feel good about things.
No worries on the effort. Dante Booker is certainly a priority for Ohio State. From my talk with Dante I think Urban Meyer has taken that recruitment over himself.
Have to feel good about that part of the sentence.
