not to rain on your parade, but go back and revisit the Army AA game in January 2008. We had 8-9 starters in that game and like 10-11 overall. That didn't turn out anywhere near as well as it should. High school talent does not equate to college results everytime, so be careful getting too excited.

However, any time I hear people knock recruiting ranks, etc., I just point to the programs on top of recruiting and on top of college football. It's generally the same teams every year. The major flaw in recruiting rankings is that none of the guys doing the ranking have coached college football or scouted for a college football team. So you see guys ranked as a 2- or 3-star that get offered by big-time programs, but somehow fall through the scouting service cracks.
Don't tell N.Saban recruiting rankings don't mean anything, however a top quality HS football player doesn't magically turn into a top flight college football player. Good coaching is needed, and besides J.Tressel I don't really think we had "good coaching" across the board like we do now.
That class did go to 3 straight BCS bowls, so I'd say they did pretty well
i didnt say they didnt do well, but lets be real, they didn't do anywhere near what they were expected to do.
08 - loss Texas but moot anyway since TP was the only one that really contributed besides a little bit of Brewster
09 - win vs Oregon
10 - win vs Arky but a wasted year with the suspenions from these very same clowns
11 - loss Florida
You think that's what was expected from a recruiting class that had 1/4 of the starters in the AAA game?
I'll take a Rose and Sugar bowl win, but that just me I guess smh..Anyway, I like this kid, I just wont play against his loaded recuriting class online...

All I can say is............... If Garrett took all that time to actually do all of that, then in his head right now, he must know he will be OSU bound.
Making up a player takes a good amount of time, but making all these players @ 99 overalls & recruiting all these players while playing the game that only came out about 2 weeks ago, shows you how interested he is into OSU.
The kid is OSU bound more than ever, IMO, since seeing this picture. I know this is just a picture, but IMO, this says ALOT.
The kid spent alot of spare time doing this, thats for sure.

Also keep in mind that if not for sanctions and the loss of TP,Boom,Posey, and most importantly Tress etc I think we would of easily made a 4th BCS bowl at the very least and possibly a NC run. That would of been 4 BCS bowls in 4 years. That's impressive as hell for the 08 class no matter how you look at it.

why did we get those sanctions and ultimately loose an entire season? hmmmmm those same guys maybe?
^^^ Thanks for filling me in on that I was unaware. Just by looking at there on field production however ( like you did in the post above) 3 BCS bowls in 4 years is damn impressive. Who knows what would of happened if we had all those guys for their full senior seasons but I am going to go out on a limb here and say at the very least we would of been in Pasadena and hell maybe even Nola.
Garrett has been chatting with a lot of Buckeye commits on Twitter, including Joey Bosa. Prospects recruiting each other is such a major asset for coaches in todays world.

Bowls wins are impressive, but nobody remembers anything but championships!! I think TP and company were poised to make a run at the title last year had everything not happend....
I think the offense might have been primed for making a title run last year, but OSU's defense was not up to par with previous years. There were several games when they couldn't stop anyone. It was pretty disappointing to watch.
