Spoke with a friend who used to manage the place and he confirmed they are simply doing some work on Catfish Biff's. All is well.... But they still Ain't got No Fish!

Catfish closes every summer, no money with no students.
^^There were rumors that it was getting knocked down. That's why we were concerned.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Please do not scare me like that! One of the things I look forward to most when coming back to visit the states is a late night trip to Catfish.
And yeah, they do always close for the summer, although I always thought they should at least open for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. Still a lot of drunk people around campus that would gladly wait in line for that delicous Biffs.

It's almost like there isn't an "off topic" or "anything else" forum here.
Urbz, Catfish is a staple of Gameday cuisine. This is a lot more relevant to our collective Buckeye football interests than several threads on this forum.
I for 1, see forum topics about campus cuisine during the "off-season" a welcome break from discussions of pedophiles and twitter accounts of 16/17 year olds.
gotta enjoy your time, it goes by quick.
oh no, we upset Urbz
Upset? It's just not strictly football related, so it should probably go there. There's a reason the off-topic forum exists lol.
We barely get any football news to begin with during the summer. This is important. Just be happy that Catfish Biffs is still alive and kicking. Literally the best drunk food ever, and it's vital to the OSU experience in general.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
I agree, I drove past it yesterday!
I worry about Catshit Biffs from time to time. The place always seems liable to shut down at any time.
Bolt got a side of butthurt with his last pizza
I'm not sayin I want it to shut down. I love the joint. Used to go there all the time back when I was still in school. I'm still a sucker for Adriaticos pepperoni though.
Haha I'll be closer to Adriatico's this year, so that may have to be my new drunk spot. Open late?
As far as I can remember. Their pepperoni is the only thing I was into. As for the greasiest awesome pizza around the area...Hound Dogs is pretty awesome with the spicy sauce and smokin' joes crust. Adriaticos is more of a whole pie type of joint though...Biffs is better for late night drunken stops because they sell by the slice.
I was disappointed with Adriatico's...it might have been my buddy hyping it up as "the best pizza EVER". It was pretty good though. Whenever I visit, my 2 guaranteed food stops are always Canes and Hang Over Easy. Love Eddie George's after a game too.
"Love my State, hate the football"
I disagree, at Biff's they have their weekend deals for the drunks where the price of an XL is the same as an L. So unless you go out and drink alone, (which if that's the case there's a bigger problem than pizza choices), you're gonna go with 3 people, armed with your drunk appetites, buy an XL, and eat it on a dirty picnic table in front of your building.
Adriaticos is most definitely not the best pizza ever. It's too expensive first off. Second, the only thing I can eat from there is the pepperoni...Their pizza is awesome reheated though. You can get that gigantic Buckeye size pizza and it's the size of a coffee table and eat well for a couple days. Typically when friends and I would stumble over to Biffs after a long night we'd just get a couple slices and go so that we didn't have to wait for a whole pie to go through the oven. My spot nowadays is definitely Mikey's Late Night Slice. Lines are always outrageous later in the evenings though.
I order PAD because I have a lot of excess swipes with my free meals at work. It's nothing to write home about, but the Butcher's Block pizza is definitely worth a taste at least once.
My biggest gripe about Adriaticos is that they don't sell by the slice. That's where Catfish is super clutch. Also, slice of NY on High Street is quite good, as far as pizza is concerned.
If you guys haven't tried Plaza Mexican Grille yet (where NYPD was on High Street), you need to get on that. Better burritos than Chipotle, and if you get it before 4 PM, they're only $5. Also, sometimes they have buy one get one free deals. And you can add chorizo to your burrito for free. And they have nachos, and they're open super late.
Also, Cluck-a-doodle-doo is amazing drunk food. Giant sandwiches, and cheaper than PJ's.
But yeah, seeing as I'm living in Park/Strad this year, Catfish is about to be a HUGE part of my diet.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Regarding the PAD, the buffalo chicken pizza is also fantastic. That and the Butcher's Block are the only things worth getting on the menu. And occasionally the boneless wings.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Badowl, you a first or second year? I lived in Baker east last year, and ate Catfish twice a week
Second year, lived in Morrison this year. Ate a lot of Catfish haha
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
I'm a second year also, living in Mack this year
Thought I'd chime in. I found Adriatico's to be underwhelming and thought that Catfish Biff's was pretty good. I actually found Pizza Rustica (in South Campus Gateway) to be the best pizza joint on campus. I'll be a second year as well.
@William where did you/are you living?
I actually lived in Mack before Morrison (I had a crazy roommate). I was on the first floor, and the rooms were pretty awful. Just a heads up. Being connected to K-Comm is nice, though.
Also, Pizza Rustica is pretty awesome.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Glad to hear that I'm not the only one here underwhelmed by Adriatico's. Graduated in December meself, my two on-campus pizza joints were Slice of New York and Hounddog's. Only had Biff's once; don't know why, though, considering I lived in Park.
Tried Rustica once, but it was a cold slice warmed up: I don't consider that a fair assessment.
Slice of New York is the best pizza on campus as far as I'm concerned. Adriaticos is pretty good, not amazing (although the smell is intoxicating), but expensive and they don't sell by the slice. Catfish is the most convenient, cheapest, fastest, and just has a great college feel to it.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
I lived in Morrill, had some absolutely crazy/stupid suitemates, the kind that do ecstasy and ketamine within a 5 minute span. I'll be living off campus this year around the Grandview area. You get absolutely raped living on campus, so my girlfriend and I got an apartment.
@Badowl: I'm on the first floor haha. What room?
@William: Interesting, because I know some people at Morrill who have such habits
@Buck-I.8 What floor were they on? And they certainly made suite-life interesting at times, until they'd get everyone written up by RAs. Definitely happy to be getting off campus.
I dont know, because I hate them. hahah
Nice. I did get of tired ecstasy and ketamine appearing in our suite, then I laughed when some cops busted one of their parties. It was definitely quieter after half of my suite was suspeneded/expelled. The saddest thing was that at the end of the year, I was the only original suite member left. Hell there were only 4 people in my 10 person suite at the end of Spring quarter.
Jeez. I've heard things about Morrill, don't think I'd be too psyched to live there haha
My buddy lived on the fifth floor of Morrill, dropped acid once. Said that he got lost in a forest and an owl gave him the wisdom to leave the forrest.
Buck-I.8: I lived in 124B, it was pretty awful. The room on the corner is probably the best one, I think it was like 119 or something.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Lived in Morrison freshman year and been on 12th and Indy the last two. Plaza is no way better than Chipotle imo. They do have good deals and the burrtitos are defintiely above average and they have happy hour drink specials which is nice. Catfish still wins the campus pizza race in my book based on value and taste. The conversation above about the PAD made me vomit in my mouth. Probably the worst pizza I have ever had but would somehow manage to get it every week so I could use my meal swipes. Cluck was a good call and its a shit ton of greasy food for only 5 bucks so its awesome on the weekends and its so close to my house. New waffle house and red robin have opened up right next to Big Bar but havent been to either yet.
I feel obliged to mention that I eat at Noodles and Co. 4 times a week
I've been to the new Red Robin, but only for the drink machine. They have that touch-screen thing where it has like 9 different types of Sprite.
Also, I'm going to hit up Waffle House SO much this year.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
Back in my freshman days at Steeb, me and my buddy would each get an XL from Catfish Biff's every Friday and try to finish it the same night. Forget sharing. The "freshman 15" was more like the "freshman 30" for me.
And I too think Adriatico's is overrated.
I gained the Freshman 35, but it was mainly because I had mono the previous summer and I started lifting obsessively
@TheBadOwl
Waffle House is going to be a nightmare this Fall. That place is going to be overflowing with drunk students. Also PAD isnt great by any means, but most of OSU's cafeteria's/restaraunts suck anyways.
I hate seeing it called "Hangover Easy". That's the tackiest name I've ever seen. I understand "Nick's Diner" doesn't have much appeal if your name isn't Nick, but still. It sounds like they're trying too hard.
@SOX33 - The name may be tacky, but the chow is superb.
One time I put a piece of Catfish into my dorm mini-fridge and it was horrible the next day.
Taquitos.
