Ohio State just didn't do a good enough job of vetting all of it's millions of fans, especially the 80,000 fans at the spring game so Dr. Anzalone's son ended up in a picture with a sexual predator who no one at the school knew anything about. Result: a kid gets his picture take with a loser. = this school is cut and at least initially blamed for the incident.
Penn St- thousands of players, fans and high ranking school officials etc are all in pictures with a convicted child rapist, who raped at least one child in the team showers. It's pretty clear that other coaches, and high ranking officials knew of this child rapist and knew he was still allowed on campus. Result: more children were abused in part by inaction and/ or follow- up by coaches/officials = this school makes the cut and are not blamed for the transgressions occurring on their watch.
Notre Dame- under the watch of the current coaching staff a student manager is killed when a camera tower collapes during dangerous, high wind conditions. Few directly blame the coaches (maybe they shouldn't) but it was their responsibility and their call. Result : a manager dies in a tradgic accident under the command/ warch of the current coach. = this school and it's coaches make the cut.
I think it pretty clear that Dr. Anzalone really never blamed the coaches or school officials and thought they should have or could have done more... How could he really feel that way when "not doing more" or using more caution led to children being raped in one case and a manager being killed on a practice field at another school, both of which have been given his blessing?

I don't think he really de committed because of that picture... I think he just wasn't comfortable with the decision he made so he backed out, and now he's going somewhere else. He's only a 17 year old kid and honestly with the haul we brought in for the 2012 class at LB I'm pretty comfortable with where we are.

Can we just stop making the same threads, with the same thoughtless and redundant posts on them? It's getting so stale.
I agree with Buck-I8. This ship has sailed. We don't need to analyze the situation anymore. It's over. I wish him the best. But please, no more threads on the kid.
I think calling this thoughtless is a little harsh. I agree that it is getting as old as hearing SEC speed or 0-10. Move on. We courted this girl for a few months. It wasn't like you were married to her with kids man. Maybe that was harsh? (BTW it is an analogy not calling Anzalone a chick.)
I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.
I think it takes little to no thought to make points that A. Have already been made by like 20 other posters, and B. aren't very accurate. So yes, thoughtless.
The kid doesn't want to go here, so what? Not everyone is gonna handle things the way we want them to, but as fans, to keep crying about it like 2 months later, is just obnoxious.
I see the point here and I agree with it, however, who cares in the end? Anzalone's dad will be a pain in the rear for whichever program his son chooses...lets just be glad we aren't involved in this crap any more
One lost recruit does not ruin a program. OSU has plenty of talented LB's and we will be fine. Dr. Anzalone made a decision that he thought was best for his son. Hopefully all those with kids will be looking out for there son/daughter like Dr. Anzalone has. I don't agree with his shallow thinking but Alex is not my son and I am not the father of a kid making a HUGE decision like this. Those that want to call names and verbally punish Camp Anzalone then do so, but from my angle it does look stupid and gives a negative persona to OSU fanbase.
Alex isn't coming here so MOVE ON, so sick of seeing this kid name everywhere. Good luck to the Anzalone family where ever he winds up.
It's good to be home.
Wait, did Anzalone de-commit?
Lets forget about this kid and move on
I for one do not mind the countless threads. You know, its someones perspective that I care to read about, and if they can put their perspective into their post, and come from a different angle, I am all for those kinds of posts, even if they are still about Anzalone. Keep the threads coming. If I get sick of it, I will just click on it once so it does not show that I still have 1 new thread that I have yet to read. Too many people are getting upset about these threads, who cares, its a forum, these threads are being used to vent. I am not trying to start an internet war or squabble, but I enjoy reading any and all posts on here because I like to view the ideas and thoughts that come from others. (And this should be viewed only as my own thoughts, by the way).
If anyone has the desire to start up a new Anzalone thread, go for it. You better believe I will be reading it, along with the other threads that get posted.
Hey guys, I don't think that horse is dead yet, let's keep on beating it.
No, wait, it's dead. It's been dead for a while. Whatever, let's beat it some more.
I wouldn't cheer for Michigan if they were playing the Taliban.
In case Alex's parents care there are over 380 sex offenders in South Bend.
A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
My question is... If someone creates a topic about Anzalone and his name is in the title, if your the dude that is tired of reading about him then why click the link to begin with? Most of the responses are going to be pretty much the same. If it bothers you to read about how others feel on the matter don't click anything pertaining to him. I agree it is getting old but nobody is forcing me to read this stuff and who am I to tell someone else how they should feel on the subject?
I don't always take names when I kick ass but when I do, they most often belong to a Wolverine.
Lost the context of your argument I guess, but no one told him how to think
Honestly have never seen this site care so much for ONE player. Ever since he de-committed and his dad more or less implicated Urban and our coaching staff, he was no longer relevant to me.
I'm not here to disparage Anzalone or his parents. They made the choice they think is best for their son. I don't care for how they accused the university of having "something not right" but to each their own.
My plea to this board and buckeye nation in general, much like buck-i.8....just stop, stop trashing him, stop talking about him, stop wishing he was here,..just STOP. We have an amazing football team, coaches, fan base. Why focus on someone who doesn't want to be a part of it?
I for one, only care about those who are a part of our great program, or those that want to be a part of it. No more, no less
Who cares...I agree w/this above by Carolina Buckeye. Just be careful how much you say about this. I called him an ahole for Dr. A...caught MASS stuff for it like I was slamming the 17yr old kid...which I wasn't (even though NO ONE could disagree or prove me wrong about how Dr.A sounded at first...which was VERY accusatory). Read this below...tells your story Carolina Buckeye to a tee. Sounds more like to me that Dr.A should have been there but blamed OSU instead. Just my opinion...personally I think the Waugh thing was an excuse.
