4-star WR Robert Foster (PA) has named #OhioState one of his top 7 schools. Also 'Bama, USC, Michigan, MSU, Oregon and Pitt.
Looks like we're still in it for this kid. Probably a OSU, Pitt and Bama battle.

If OSU wants him they lead....word is he wants to stay closer to home but is concerned about Pitt's quality of football, more specifically at QB.....he likes Bama a lot but he can get the best of both world at OSU if wanted
Interesting that Penn State's not on his list.
I had heard that if he doesn't stay in the Midwest he more than likely will end up @ Alabama. They are trying to sell him on being 'the next Julio Jones'.
Rivals doesn't list an offer from Michigan State for him while Scout doesn't list an offer from Michigan for him.
I really really hope we get this guy!
Buckeye if urban wants him, if not he will settle for Pitt
Nicholas l Ernst
^ Yep, because Saban is too paltry a recruiter to seal the deal
are these types of comments necesary?? I see them all over on this site. I actually agree with you, i dont think "if urban wants him, hes ours" either but im not gunna attack the guy for it like you, hodgepodge, brestersmillions, woodysglasses and a few others. No wonder everyone has a negative opinion of OSU fans, we cant even get along amongst ourselves. we need a commitment to happen soon so people have something else to talk about. I wonder what u people are like in-person, i just hope i never have to find out.
Really glad to see were still in it for this guy. He is my favorite recruit. This guy won't have to "settle" anywhere. If OSU is really, and truly still interested, and he wants to stay close to home, and contend we are his best bet. If we aren't still interested then I think he ends up at Bama ... I would go to say he would walk in the door as their best WR ....
@SHADY - Pardon, but whom have I attacked on here?
On more topic-related news, this is awesome. Really inspiring to see that this kid (at least from my point of view) has been trying to win back favour with the staff.
Didn't know there was someone on here named 'hodgepodge'. lol.
I didn't know Hodge was Canadian!
Agh! I've been found out! My love of Rush, donuts, and beer is shameless, though. Those donuts, in my defense though, come almost exclusively from Buckeye Donuts haha.
Please Urban go ahead and get this guy!
There was some kid in the '12 class Urbz was giving the 'You the next Harvin' pitch and 'Bama told him screw that you gonna be the first whoever you are at 'Bama. Kid fell for it. Now 'Bama telling kids they can be the next Julio Jones? Sounds about right. Saban will tell 'em whatever it takes.
HodgePodge, Brewster and others. Why'd I get left out?
Is Foster a six or seven star? I forgot.
Now Hodge, if you were a true Canadian, you'd be talking about the Tragically Hip and Tim Horton's coffee.
Meow too William! Why is not Shady pickin on me this time? :^(
Seriously - why is this troll allowed to stay on this site & attack people??
Basically everyone Shady listed are people I'd love to meet. You too William & Oakland... I guess. lol
#fistpumpgobuckeyes
First, surprised to see um and msu in his top group. has never expressed much interest in Michigan, and while I can see the appeal of a program on the rise and the excitement of their recruiting class, no idea why msu is there. Also, I'm puzzled as to the whole "if urban wants him, he's ours" thing. Obviously Urban wants him. He's one of the top targets on everyone's board. Just seems like people setting themselves up so if we don't land him, they say "well we didn't want him anyway" or "we cooled on him" as excuses. Sounds like scUM boards to me. Why are we setting ourselves up to make excuses?
instead of: "You're gonna be the next Julio Jones", or "You're gonna be the next Percy Harvin", I would sell him on "You're gonna be the first Robert Foster"
"You win with people." - Woody Hayes
Well first and foremost let me say that nothing I say to anyone is ever intended to be a personal attack. This is a site run by and for like minded people (with the exception of the few M fan readers we have there-who's opinions I value FWIW) but that doesn't mean I can't disagree with people and let them know when that is the case. If you take anything I say as a personal attack, well that's on you homie. It is never my intention. I come to this site for great Buckeye coverage (best in town) and I enjoy differing opinions and discussing said opinions with their makers. Some readers (Hodge, Maestro) I agree with on just about everything. Others (William) I agree with about %4 of what they say-but its the exchange I look forward to. I actually seek out certain posters' comments the same way some of us seek out certain writer's articles because I find what these people have to say is interesting, even if it isn't my particular cut of beef. If you feel like I attack you personally, then you have my apologies. For the most part, we all fly under the same flag of Scarlet and Gray, so my intention is never to make enemies-especially on the internet.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Well said Brewster. We're all fans here, can't we all just get along? I'm stoked that Foster is still looking at us and think that his bad visit was probably blown out of proportion. He was with a younger teammate(who is supposed to be a stud in the class of 15' I believe), and was most likely trying to impress and act cool in front of a younger player. Obviously his actions didn't impress UFM and the staff but those things can be repaired, and I hope they do. This kid is a beast at WR and that is exactly what we need, so I hope we get this guy.
Isn't this actually the 1st case that we've heard that is really a "if Urban wants him". Of course talent wise he up there w/the best, no one can dispute that, but I haven't really seen anything saying the staff was still interested after his 1st visit. Seems like everything regarding OSU is coming from the Foster camp.
Foster would be a nice addition as long as this so called attitude doesn't follow him to Columbus. What evidence do we have that OSU would be his favorite if OSU and Urban wanted him?
Well I do recall Alex saying OSU was at one point in time his favorite, and I also think it goes to show he is trying to so hard to repair the damage done says alot as well. I mean he has have the defending National Champion knocking on his door, so it's not like his is hurting for a scholarship.
I come on here every day, read every article, every thread, nearly every comment and I see the same people causing disturbances. It seems like they only go against people who are "new" to the site, almost like a clique of high school girls. I dont care about seniority, i dont care about people getting their feelings hurt; we're all men probably around the same age (low to mid-20's) with the same passion but sometimes it seems like this is what the site is composed of:
Starring:
Pretty sure Pam is not a man. Sarah, too. Haven't met them in person to confirm, though.
Edit: And Artbkward, too.
Feelings getting hurt 'round here.
@Shady If you read every comment you should know that not everyone here is a man or in their low to mid 20's
I have met Sarah and can confirm she is a woman. Ramzy and some others met me at ETB2,so they can vouch for me.
@Pam you wouldnt happen to be Brewsters mommy would you? just kidding:) Im well aware of you and sarah, Ive read plenty of your comments and heard Sarah on a podcast or something of that nature along with her articles, I apologize. anyways Im ready to just drop this subject, just wish there was a way to pull a kirk herbstreit and avoid the 5-10% of OSU fans who give the rest of us a bad name. moving on now...
I think the kid wants to stay close to home.. Hence the pitt vs osu battle imo
Nicholas l Ernst
It's not all men - we're not all in our 20s. We are now all dumber for having been on this thread which used to be about football & is now about dumb.
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
Also I'm not new to the site, just recently signed up and don't post much.. But I have no problems with people attacking mY opinion
Nicholas l Ernst
The first 4 comments were about football. then it switched to unnessecary sarcasm against another users comment. obviously it'll never stop so I wont bother even discussing it anymore. Im making about as much progress as I would asking a lifelong alcoholic whom I never met to stop drinking cold turkey just because i asked him to. next person please comment on robert foster.
Robert foster.
"Did you push yourself to be great today? If you didn't do it you lost a day. We ain't got many days to lose. We're going to push your a$$ like its never been pushed because what you've got in you were going to find out" UFM
Back to the topic, does anyone know when Foster plans on committing?
Are you really gonna cry about something I said for like the twefth time since joining like a week ago? If you don't like it, don't post. At least my comment is topical, stop whining.
If you want to see why people have a negative view of OSU fans, A. go to bucknuts and then B. Go to a home game with a UM shirt on.
PS Why did I not make the Mean Girls poster? Am I not mean enough??
Buck-I.8: You're too mean for that poster!
"Attack the Strong, Trample the Weak, Hurdle the Dead!"
-Former OSU S&C Coach Lichter
Theres still room for two more on that poster. No need to run ur credit Buck:I-8, ur pre-approved. I was thinking maybe the three stooges can include oakland, woody and one spot is still up for grabs.
Mid to low 20's? For someone who reads every post you sure don't pay attention. You seem to be starting a fued where it doesn't need to be started. I suggest you try another site and maybe you can make some friends on that one.
Well Brewster, I guess we're at least attractive...
Shady, I'd assume that you're referring to my "overpass" post: that was honestly not intended toward you. I responded to it in the Skull Session. As Brewster mentioned, I've never intended to be a dick to anyone, if you've been offended I sincerely apologize. But to be fair, at this moment you're the one casting the stones...Regardless, no offense was intended (towards anyone). Though I may not agree with what you say, I'll defend to the death your right to say it. Go Bucks my man.
Hodge, don't bother. He has no patience for our hardened criminal activity
Man, I wish I was in my low to mid-20s...
I have shoes that are in the mid to low 20's
I thought this topic was about Robert Foster.
Robert Foster probably won't be a Buckeye unless he grows up and shows that he has done so to the staff. No use talking much about it now anyway, this one will probably drag out a bit anyway.
People do a bit overboard with the smartass comments or perceived attacks. Truth be told it's why I don't come around quite as much as I used. It's not cool, however, to call out people who had nothing to do with the thread or comment you were referring too either.
Assuming no attitude issues, we need this kid. His ability to make plays is unreal. Imagine him with Jalin Marshall, Ezekiel Elliott, and (hopefully) Shelton Gibson. Nice...
^^^ this. We need a wideout to complement all these slot receivers.
He would be a great addition for sure Bassplayer. The group of players you mentioned sick... From what I've seen I'm happy with those recruits - like this this kid Zeke who I think will an amazing running back in the future...
The whole class so far is actually insane. Ad Foster to the kids you mentioned plus the likes of Burrows, Bosa, Woodward, Baugh, Barrett...everyone of them really. It's going to be a ridiculous class for sure!
Edit: never mind...
The world is full of kings & queens who'll blind your eyes & steal your dreams - it's heaven & hell - Ronnie James Dio.
I dont think im exaggerating too much by saying i think this kid is the most impressive recruit I have seen offensivley in the 2013 class. Speed, size, strength, this kid has it all. He is a MUST HAVE in this class and is exactly the type of kid we NEED IMO. I thought Davonte Neal was that kid in the last class and i'm still not happy we didnt get him but Foster is the same type of playmaker. He is the Ted Ginn/Percy Harvin type player that will thrive in Meyer's offense. If we get him he could be a game changer for sure for the next 3-4 years. Hope his attitude improves and becomes the type of player i think he can be.
I don't picture Robert Foster as a Ted Ginn or Percy Harvin type receiver.. He's more of a pure wideout
I could be way off here, but... I see him as almost a Justin Blackmon type player with great size, great hands, and very good speed.
I don't get why the "Percy Harvin" type player turned into "the Ted Ginn/Percy Harvin" type player. Ginn and Harvin didn't play very similar roles for their respective teams
Both speed recievers who were threats every time they touched the football. Yes they had slightly different roles, Harvin took snaps as a running back and in the backfield more often than Ginn, but that does not mean they are different types of players. I definitley think Ginn could have done the same close to the same thing Harvin did if put in the same role in Floridas offense and vice versa. They were both dominant in the return game as well. You may disagree that they were the same player but the comparison is definitley justified.
OhioThomas: I see where your coming from. He definitley has the great hands. I just see him utilized differentley in Urban's offense. Just my opinion. Regardless I think we can all agree this kid is a playmaker and would be a great addition to the class.
Yeah, you can compare in a broad sense. But when someone says "he can be Ginn/Harvin", i have to wonder, which one? By your logic, we're just speculating about who the next playmaker will be, but that's not what the cliché is referring to.
So, in conclusion, Foster is a Ginn type player... but not a Harvin.
I do agree with your second statement though. I'd love to see him in Scarlet and Grey
By saying Ginn/Harvin type player what I was really trying to get at is how I think this kid can provide the same type of homerun ability / playmaking Ginn and Harvin were able to provide for their respective teams. Hell maybe i'm way off but just how i see him. But i see your point. Hopefully we can get this kid to add to our pretty stellar class so far.
Can someone explain why we always say, if Urban wants him he's ours? It's never that easy, Urbans great but we act like he's gods gift to coaching. Nick Saban is every bit as good and probably a better coach than Urban, but he has no shot if the great Urban Meyer wants him. Please.
With that said I hope we do get him, Go Bucks!
"You'll be proud of our young people in the classroom, in the community, and most especially in 310 days in Ann Arbor, Michigan on the football field."
@BUCKI_1033 - I never understood that either, but I'm betting it has to do with Urban's kool-aid. It'll wear off eventually, I'm sure. But to be fair, it is borne of his pedigree-he tends to hit more than he misses. But, at least for me I'm high on Foster because of two reasons: (1) Alex says that the kid favors us, and (2) he's been trying (or at least seems like it) to win back the staff after his bad visit. I can appreciate that, and hope that it speaks more to his character than his singular visit did.
I'm sick of all the personal attacks, you jerks! Especially you, Hodge, lol! /S/
Seriously though, Foster putting Michigan in his top group is no more exciting to me than Cravens doing the same. He probably likes the idea of a school rich in tradition and history, while Michigan likes the idea of a big time receiver, but that's about all it will ever amount to.
Do you guys think he's worth the [potential] drama/headaches down the road if you land him?
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!
~Bo Schembechler
I don't get why people have jumped on this theory that hes like a criminal or something? He tweeted a joke about not wanting to be lectured on academics at OSU. Now the staff is still considering him, so it obviously wasn't a big deal.
If you read his interviews with Young and Johnson, he's very down to earth, quiet even. I see no indication that he'd be a headache. And if he was a guy with low integrity who didn't care about academics, why would he be high on Pitt?
@Hail I get what you are saying and I have had the same suspicions. Another one that comes to mind is Quick. I would like to have talented players like these two, but you just hope that they don't come with a lot of baggage. This is where you have to have faith in the coaching staff and ,thus far, Meyer has not let us down.
recievers have and will be diva's.
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
Clearly if this is mean girls, I'm the Lohan of the site. Hodge strikes me as the McAdams type.
Edit-Sir Rick-Its something isnt it man? The very nature of the position almost requires the guys to be that way. Receivers really can't be effective if they aren't getting the ball (Guys don't want to be decoys or blockers) so they sort of have to be the "LOOK AT ME!" types. Even your 'modest' wideouts are guys that always want the ball thrown to them. It takes some pretty solid coaching to reign that attitude in and harness it into consistent play. Its a fine line. You want a guy to want the ball-you dont want that guy to want the ball to the detriment of the team.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Keeping my hopes up...
@BREWSTER - Rachel McAdams is pretty attractive.
there wasnt a featured girl in that movie i find unattractive lol
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
You can go for attractive. I'll go for the "Hot pile of mess" that is LeLo.
Rick-Agreed. SAAAAMOKING.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Ummm....I wanna touch Lyndsey Lohan's boobs!....hehe
Have you ever seen Lynn Swan when he's walking the sidelines at Ohio State? The guy's walk is very prissy. He walks up on his toes!
