Consensus #1 prospect, Nkemdiche, to Clemson (with link)

Had been a long time Bama lean, follows his best friend David Kamara to the Tigers. Huge get for Clemson!

It'll be interesting to read about the real reason for Clemson's recent recruiting run in about 3 years when the investigations finally start.

I think Dabo Sweeny has changed the culture at Clemson, with gets like Daquan Bowers and Sammy Watkins. I wouldn't lean towards shady recruiting, more like more like great staff, impressive facilities and gorgeous campus.

~Because we couldn't go for three~

Shady recruiting? I take offense to that haha j/k. Anyways its good to see him go to Clemson, idk why he would want to but I dont wanna see him end up at Bama or LSU or Florida or any SEC school for that matter. Im lovin' it.

I think its less shady recruiting and more kids wanna play for Dabo Sweeny, dude is super-charged... personally quite like him

Favorite Buckeye: Obviously BJ Mullens

I don't think he watched their bowl game last year! Who would want to be on their defense! But I'm sure he had good reasons, I just don't see it. Best of luck to him. I know Clemson grabbed Oklahoma's DC but even Oklahoma hasn't had that great of a defense lately

Clemson is basically FSU jr when it comes to big recruits translating to wins. Glad he picked them rather than bama.

"You're pissed because we went after a committed guy? Guess what, we got 9 guys who better go do it again," said Meyer. "Do it a little harder next time."

Maybe now Clemson might be able to hold a Big East team under 50 points! :)

Well in Clemsons defense, they do put a lot of dlineman into the NFL, which is a major priority to him.

LSU and Alabama dont?? He could go to Idaho St and still be a 1st rounder. I think we're all just relieved we wont have to encounter him if/when we go to the MNC game.

Boom777, maybe he did watch their bowl game last year and knows he can get early playing time.

@shady, yes bama and lsu also have put many dlineman into the nfl, but clemson is right there with them in recent history.

Big fan of clemson, the amount of energy Dabo and his staff ( WHY COULDNT WE GET CHAD MORRIS) really is special

This is one kid I'm happy OSU was never in the running for. All I hear about Nkemdiche is that he's a diva and really loves the attention he's getting. Not sour grapes, I wish him the best of luck, but I'm happy with the d-line we've recruited.

i see what you're saying 703buckeye, but come on...there isn't a program in the country that would turn him down.  us included.  and 11w would be going nuts.

I wondered why we never attempted to grab the guy to be honest. We have guys coming from all over the country. Seems like Urban wants to make inroads in the south this would've been a nice splash, oh well its nice to dream ....

It's a long time until NSD, so I'll believe Nkemdiche to Clemson when he signs on the dotted line.  Like Gunner Kiel, I think this one's far from over.  And Brent Venables, Clemson's new DC, is a bit of a quandary.  The guy is a flat out defensive wizard...some days.  Other days the defense will look totally and completely lost.  Should be interesting to see how he does in the ACC.

Well now that he commited to an ACC team ESPiN will drop him down a few spots until a SEC 5 star can move up to #1.

Congrats to the kid. Smart pick. As one guy said, Clemson pumps out DE's like we used to pump out DB's to the NFL. Awesome campus, and they got Venables. Good move.

Dustin Fox was our leading tackler as a corner.... because his guy always caught the ball.

Wont be surprised if Reuben Foster becomes the #1 recruit by signing day. Gotta love ESPN and the SEC

Sorry Urban, Woody is still my favorite

If you've ever watched a Clemson game and seen Dabo coach...it's not that much of a secret. I got quite the coach crush on that gentleman
