I haven't heard much about Drew Barker in a while.  Alex, do you think he'll be offered if he throws decently in camp, and do you think he'll accept the offer right away?

Man, it would be rad if we could get Thompson and Burrows down here on the tenth to bond with Bell...work some "ultimate-DB-class" recruiting magic.

On a Barker-related note.. Do you think he will be higher on our board than Deshone Kizer?

Is Ezekiel Elliott coming up on the 23rd?

I didn't realize Hill made a mid-week visit. Any news on how it went?

@ Alex, I can't get any read on the Munger recruitment.  How serious is Urban about him?  How serious is he about the Buckeyes?

Munger just doesn't seem that interested.

Kahliel Rodgers and Dorian Johnson visiting at the same time now...hopefully they can hit it off together. Would love to land both of them!

Just looking at Michael Julian's tape... intriguing, I'll be interested to hear what the staff thinks.

Who was #11 though?  Made most of the big catches on that film.  I was starting to wonder if Jeremy Eberts had snuck down to play some HS ball on the side.

At least to me it seems like the 6/21-23 camp/visits will be a lot more interesting than this last weekend's camp. I expect quite a few offers to go out then (maybe Barker, Horton, James, or Booth).

It seems like Hill would certainly play DT (fast dude, fits well with the SEC type defense mantra) and Munger would play guard (although he might want to play DT).

I agree the results from the camp later this month will be very interesting.  I'm guessing we're not going to get highlight videos of these camps...

We could always use some competition at kicker.

Alex, can you eleborate on the influx of linemen camping at tOSU? I'm personally wondering if it's a sign of desperation to get linemen, a complete considence, or it's Urban just stirring up some competition?

Do you know if Billy Price is going to try to go to camp? I know he's stated that he's open to moving to the OL if he's needed there (even though he prefers DL), but you've got to think that camping as a DT could show the staff what he is capable of. 

I think he meant, to emphasize that he's worth it as a one-sided lineman, since he seems to want to only play DL

I would still take Green over Williams. Green has elite speed and size to compliment it, Williams lacks that size. Though, I wouldn't be upset if we landed Williams instead of Green.

@Hayze, don't forget about Warren Ball. The kid is built like a rock right now, and has room to put weight on a 6'2'' frame (according to Scouting Ohio), and in my opinion has the same mix of size and speed as Green. Maybe Green is more of an elite prospect, but I think people aren't giving Ball enough credit. 247 doesn't rate the two very differently

I'd rather get Clifton Garrett actually.. With the number of quarterbacks interested in OSU, I'm not worried about getting one of Henderson, Crest, Barker, Kizer, or even another top-level prospect. Garrett seems very interested in OSU and is the type of player that you build a defense around. Also, he and McMillan are good friends so that could help.

That being said, I'd love a Henderson commit too.

@BuckI.8 ... I thought I was the only person that thought that. I like Ball's game ALOT, and he actually seemed a bit more explosive than Dunn.

Warren Ball is a consensus 4-star with a tape a lot like Deveon Smith's, minus the fact that Smith plays against horrible competition. We're getting spoiled if we don't appreciate that kind of depth

When Dante Booker told me he would not be at camp in June because of a conflict, he did mention getting back to OSU this summer.  I would imagine that would be to the Friday Night Lights camp July 27th.  A

Also, Cass Tech LB Will White did not end up camping at OSU these past few days but will be at the Friday Night Lights camp next month.

2014 CB C.J. Reavis of Chester, VA also will be at Friday Night Lights.

@ Bucknutz I think Raekwon has something else football related that day, but I think he said he is going to try his best to make it if he can. If not, he is for sure visiting a couple more times with one visit being The Game.

I know it's early, but could you guys envision us getting any 2014 commits at FNL, specifically one of the LBs (Garrett, McMillan).

Billy Price is going to Friday Night Lights....I was told by a good source he will be there.

Not sure if this is confirmed yet but seeing reports that Josh Mcneil has delayed his commit to got to FNL.

I'd like to see those italics come of Raekwon McMillan's name.  A visit to FNL could put us back out in front of UGA.

Buck-I.8- I totally agree. 

I can't wait until the delusion that the SEC is the Gold Standard passes. Bama offers should be coveted, yes, but so should UM, OSU, and USC.

The SEC isn't winning. The top SEC teams are winning, and giving the whole conference this reputation that it doesn't deserve. 

Not to get too ahead of ourselves, but it would be awesome for OSU to get the likes of Demetrius Knox, KC McDermott and Jamarco Jones as OT's for 2014.

We're in a good spot for OLs next year.

So far it seems like Knox is all Buckeye and Jimmy Byrne, the best in state OL is all Buckeye as well.

Plus we have interest from the likes of Jamarco Jones, Sam Mustipher, Damian Prince, Orlando Brown Jr, Kc McDermott, and Mason Cole.

I think the plan for him is to visit to osu to make sure it's what he thinks it is and then if all goes well during visit he'll be committing at Gridiron Kings.

@Derek, do you think Knox is favoring Alabama and Texas at this time?

Does anyone know what the chances are we can get Derrick Green signed up?  Does he have an offer at this point? Is he someone we are going after very hard?  The kid isn't very tall but he is extremely fast for his size.

Couple things:

On Knox: From my talks with him it seemed that OSU would be in the game but not emerging at the top.  I'll change my stance a bit after talking to him some more and hearing a few things from sources.  I'll say this without 100% conviction but I think OSU should like their chances with Knox.  

On Derrick Green: I just spoke to someone that has been reliable up to this point that things are trending back to OSU for Green.  I think we will have a better idea after FNL though, where Green will be in attendance.  I think Ohio State has a scholarship or 2 more to play with if Green is indeed in the picture. 

I will try to get Glass on the phone tonight to confirm.  Trying to time it right since he is at South Carolina for camp and don't want to intrude on his time.  

I have heard 24th-26th though.

When a player is officially "commited" to a school but is really only 85% commited, then thats good news for everyone but the school he's commited to.

I posted this is another thread, but I just don't understand why these kids just don't name leaders instead of commited so early and then still considering other teams and taking visits.

I think it's better to focus on juniors. It will make more of an impression on the recruits that haven't been through the process enough to be leans anywhere.
