Read this yesterday, very stupid......Ann Arbor police have nothing better to do. Again, very stupid of Big Will too. But does not warrant a felony, Ridiculous. Make him pay for the damages and call it a day.
This is stupid, can't believe Campbell got in that much trouble.

I'd love to see video of this... would be hilarious to watch.
I would definitely love to see that video too!
I agree that it's pretty ridiculous. At the same time, however, as Buckeye fans, we know that breaking laws, as ridiculous as we believe they are, still warrants a penalty. Sounds like he had a lapse of judgement.....he should lose his job.
Felony? Ridiculous. Have him pay for the repairs and drop it.
I have this sweet vision of a Paul Blart-esqe slide that ends with him in a car hood taco. If there is a video that doesn't coincide with thIs vision, don't show it to me and ruin it.
Fundamentals are a crutch for the talentless.
I see the Hokester is setting a a good example for his team by not really caring about anything they do. Way to go Michigan Man!
"if irony were made of strawberries, we' d all be drinking a lot of smoothies right now."
Why would Hoke care about this? I would love for this to reflect badly on Hoke, but It's not like the kid took a bat to a car or something malicious. It sounds like an innocent, though very dumb, drunk mistake.
@GrayskullSession
I'm sorry, but that's crap. Hoke's not their babysitter, and the charges are flat-out dumb - it should be a civil matter of paying for the damage. What was Hoke supposed to do? Stand there and tell him, "Will - this really isn't the best idea?" Accompany every player who goes out for the night?
Regardless, now that it's happened, you can bet Campbell's going to become very familiar with the stadium steps, and he'll pay for the damage.
If he had become familiar with the stadium steps four years ago, maybe he would've actually contributed something by now.
What's he got? 20 tackles on his career? Hate to see his backup if he gets suspended
Preaching to the choir on that one. I'd love to see him with his head on straight this year. If recent events are any indication, I will be left wanting.
OhioBorn,
I agree completely that Hoke should not be expected to follow each and every kid around and get in their ear each time they want to do something foolish. I just hope you as a fan afford your rival's players the same sort of leniency if\when an OSU player breaks a law and Meyer isn't there to tell him "Don't do that dude!". I agree that this doesn't fall on Hoke-but I hope you give OSU the same treatment when it happens to one of their players.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Just because I care about all of my friends at 11W (anybody going to the Memorial on Sunday or the Open Qualifier at Scioto on Monday and want to get together?), here is a picture I found of the vehicle after Big Will Campbell did his Dukes of Hazzard thing on it:
You're welcome.
Absolutely. It wasn't the coaches' fault when Jaamal Berry got arrested. The players have to be held accountable for their actions. Where the coaches come into play is making the kids understand the consequences of breaking the law/screwing up and following through. In this instance, paying for the damage done and running some stairs should be plenty. If rampant disciplinary problems fail to be acknowledged and addressed by the coach *coughBrianKellycough* - or get covered up...that's where you run into issues.
This doesn't deserve its own thread, but I thought on the topic of players getting in legal trouble, people might want to hear that former 4* DB Derjuan "PeeWee" Gambrell is facing an upcoming court appearance for the domestic altercations that led to his dismissal from the team
If any of the coach's were present and there was no paperwork to be found, I would have to say this was just another illegal tsun team practice..... lol
O H I O is the Buckeye State
M Man, I will be at the Memorial on Sunday.
The only thing that could make this story funnier is if Hoke had been driving

BassPlayer; Does 11W have any kind of PM feature? How else to trade info? The hosts here have info on me; they could give it to you...

It works! Thanks a lot. (And thanks to the 11W crew for running such a good site.)
