Damn Hall is cursed it seems. Redshirt would be fine though..could use him for the National Title run in 2013. Looks like Ball william certainly get carries this season if that's the case.
This isn't about RBs though, Hall is important to this particular system. You can't just say Smith/Hyde/Dunn will take over the duties, that's not the position.
Hall was gonna be a lot more than just a RB this season. Don't know if anyone on the team can replace him. However, somebody's gonna have to step up. Dunn B10 FOY?
Posted at the same time as you, and agree for the most part. Reason I mentioned Dunn is that I thought I saw him playing a little of that hybrid role in the spring game.
I thought I remembered a lot of people on here saying that Hall was overrated and this and that. It's good to see he's getting more support than I remember. Here's hoping that this is more of a minor injury than it sounds and he makes a quick recovery!
This info shouldn't have been passed along. If Jordan found out that a nurse from the hospital passed along this info the hospital could be screwed and so could the nurse that spilled the beans.

Curious as to the nature of the injury. If he in fact lacerated a tendon it would require surgery in most cases. Which tendon it is matters tremendously in this case. If he cut one of the extensor tendons to a toe he may elect to just leave it alone before the season and I think he would be fine. Unless it is an Achilles injury (which it doesn't sound like) I would expect him to be available at the latest by the start of conference play. A tendon repair will require roughly 12 weeks to be completely healed which is why I say he may elect to avoid surgery if it's a tendon to a toe extensor.
OK, now reading that it is a ligament injury. Different altogether. Tendon connects muscle to bone. Ligament connects bone to bone. Again it completely depends on which ligament is injured. Ligament are very rarely repaired. Usually reconstructed (replaced by other tissue) if surgery is performed. In most cases they are immobilized and left to heal on their own. Again, depending on which ligament he could play with a support or be healed by the time the season starts. If a reconstruction is required he is going to be out for the early part of the season at least.
IMHO, people are leaping to conclusions about it being a violation of doctor/patient confidentiality. Who posted this on twitter? Do we even know for sure that a medical proffesional leaked this or was it maybe a friend or family member who originally passed this on to someone who then took to twitter unless they posted it to twitter themselves. I would LOVE to know more about the extent of the injury and any prognosis on return time. I hope for his sake it's nothing serious.
The person that posted that said his fiance is a nurse and that she treated Jordan. That is definitely unethical and illegal. Jordan has a right to his privacy. It's on him to tell people about his injury.

All this HIPPA shit above is hilarious...did this site just become WebMD and Medical Ethics Laws or what? Anyhow...this injury isn't a big deal. Hyde and Dunn along with Ball will be fine. As far as all this and that about Rod "likes to fumble in the red zone" Smith being the back up behind Hyde...pleeeeaase. If he fumbles one time in the red zone (or any where for that matter) then UFM will not screw around and see if it happens again. He'll be done...good luck to him is all I'm going to say. He had a problem holding onto the ball in every game he played in last year and I doubt that will be tolerated this year. Did Beanie have a problem his Freshman year holding onto the ball...before someone asks (same for Eddie G.)....??? Of course and look what they did later on in their career...I know. I just hope with the stable of RBs that Smith has done A LOT of ball handling in the off season. Otherwise he fumbles against Miami of OH (UCF or Cal) and he's done!

Thank you, haha. But to be fair to PHXBUCK, the report that first showed up on twitter was that someone had heard somewhere that he tore a tendon somehow, and that was all that was known.

Run_Fido's favorite word is strawman.
Well, Isaiah Crowell is looking for a new team.
Its Hyde and Dunn's time now, Ball will see the field as well
Everyone forgets about Rod Smith!

Corey Brown played RB in high school, he could possibly make the switch to the hybrid role, but that's highly unlikely.
@ Buck-I.8,

#$%& the Buckeyes never get a break!

Hall doesn't have breakaway speed, but he has moves. I think that's the consensus on these boards.

@crusher
If it was posted on Twitter (as the OP says), I doubt it was supposed to remain a secret.
This doesn't seem like a serious injury to me. Has anyone heard the gravity of the injury?
Those who stay will be CHAMPIONS!

@hail, it's actually VERY, VERY unethical for any doctor or nurse to reveal ANY medical info. Ever. Crusher is right.
Then that nurse should be fired... If it's out, it's out.

Need more details to make a good guesstimate.
vacuuming sucks

Any revealing of that type of information by doctor or nurse is a violation of HIPAA and any violation is taken really seriously.

^ well there you go
O H I O is the Buckeye State
Now that's the kind of news we want to hear!
The title of this post is wildly inaccurate.
He did not tear a tendon nor did it happen today. He did lacerate a ligament, which required surgery, but it didn't happen today. Come on guys...
Yeah, "come on guys", because we title things by committee.

Ah my bad Buck-I.8 :p I should have said, come on PHXBUCK...lol
