Yea this is ridiculous. I understand that there are a lot of things that cause addictions a lot of which probably seem absurd to the average person but they do happen, and I sympathize to an extent. That said if I am NFL Exec or Coach I cant imagine that I would feel comfortable signing a guy who put Call Of Duty over his career and life in general.
I wish him the best and would love to see him make a comeback, but COD and McDonalds Addiction really?
Im sorry but....LOL what?
This is about as absurd as "sex addiction".

I hope Quinn gets his act together. However if he goes the firefighter route, he might want to know that many firehouses have video games for down time.

Seems to me as if Call of Duty wasn't the primary culprit here. Granted, I'm sure that it exacerbated things for him. Makes for interesting news fodder, though; hence the story's framing.
Video game addiction is real, lots of good evidence of it. Problem is, out perception of it causes us to not treat it in the same light as a drug addiction.
addictions are for weak minded people.
mark may wins douchebag of the year... again
Bingo!
I guess years of scientific study on the subject of addiction would say otherwise, but your narrow minded opinions work too.
4-6 seconds from point A to point B and when you get to point B, be pissed off
Nice Brewsters!
the mind is much more chemically and genetically driven than any of us will ever understand. I won't disagree that many addicts are people that made indefensible actions at some points in their lives. but, to attack all addicts as weak-minded is a bit callous. sometimes, addictions result from crippling depression. until you've experienced hopelessness, you can't understand its intricacies. yes, video game addiction seems a little irresponsible to me. but, hell, we're not quinn pitcock. we can't begin to understand how he fely. let's also remember that there have been times in all of our lives when we were no match to that second slice of birthday cake or to staying up a half-hour after our bedtime to watch that west coast ball game. we all have weaknesses.
