I agree that they have bills just like everyone else; however, it seems like year after year they add more and more of what used to be "free" content into the insider content. How long until you have to subscribe to ESPN all together?
Just like ESPN the MAG...I remember when it was 95% sports and 5% ads...Now it's about 65% ads and 35% sports. I guess I'm just venting some frustration...lol
I would argue that ESPN is better with free stuff than scout and rivals, but not 247. Rivals won't let you watch nearly any video without a subscription where all the NFTC videos and such are free on ESPN
The whole "insider" thing is so stupid. Why would I want to pay for something that I can get for free the next day in the news paper (assuming its big enough news to care about)?
"I'm One Bad Buckeye, and I approve this message."
Call it stupid all you want, but as a business ESPN does very well and has a great model. I don;t pay for services I cna get free the nest day either, but some do and they make a lot of money off of it. Great business model... wish I thought of it first and was cashing in on it.
PS, I wouldn;t pay for it either, which is why I'd rather come here and buy a tshirt or two.
^^Somebody's got to pay Neil Everett
ESPN has like 85,000 employees on payroll. They've gotta keep the machine running somehow.

100% of unprayed prayers go unanswered
I don't think it's really any different over at Rival or Scout.. I get the venting though
I'm just relieved this wasn't another "ESPN Hates Us" thread

It's the way of the world. Barely anything is free and usually they nickel and dime you everywhere you go and everything you do.

^Or on a blog or twitter the same day.
Still, if people are willing to pay then I can't blame them for cashing in.
